Sun kissed days lazing on the dock interspersed with leisurely swims in the cool, crystal clear water. Gentle breezes off the lake. Warm moonlit nights with good company beside the campfire's glow. A variety of outdoor activities in nature's playground. And the end of the day, sink into downy comfort and drift off by the call of the loon.
Birch Haven is a beautiful, well appointed lakefront cottage on Horsefly Lake with approximately 1,150 sq feet of living space including a kitchen and 2 full bathrooms. Bright open concept living area with gorgeous lake views from the large windows. Two bedroom loft. Sleeps 6 comfortably, options for more. Large sundeck with outdoor furniture, small fridge and fire pit all at lake shore. Private dock to tie off your boat after an easy launch at the Provincial Park right across the lake. 220 ft of private waterfront with a gently sloping private pebble beach. Large yard with flat play areas. Washer, dryer, microwave and WiFi. Fully equipped, linens and towels included.
Aluminum rowboat for guest use. Large driveway with ample parking. Concrete public boat launch in Provincial Park across the lake. Easy access in a populated but private area.
Your group will be the only guests on the 2.5 acre property which borders on crown land on two sides.

What a beautiful place! When we walked in we were greeted with a fantastic view and cozy atmosphere. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and kid friendly. The lake was where we spent most of our time boating, swimming and fishing. Will definitely be coming back ❤️

My family had a wonderful time at Birch Haven! The views from this beautiful lakeside cottage were absolutely stunning — waking up in the upper floor bedroom to expansive lake and mountain views was a real treat. The private lakeside deck, complete with comfortable chairs and table, was perfect for listening to the loons with morning coffee and for gazing at the wide starscape - so many stars on a clear night! The yard also featured cozy hammocks for relaxing and enjoying the quiet, peaceful surroundings, and a separate 'bunkie' on the property for extra privacy. The cottage itself was well equipped and very well maintained. The hosts clearly take great care of the cottage and show great concern for their guests. Remco was welcoming and warm, with great correspondence before the visit and availability during the visit. This was a perfect spot for our summer getaway!

Beautiful cottage on Horsefly Lake
We had a wonderful stay at Birch Haven - what a beautiful cottage - with wall to wall windows letting in the sunshine. We had an amazing time in this immaculate home away from home overlooking pristine Horsefly Lake where the wildlife is abundant and the loons will sing you to sleep. If you want quiet- this is the place for you and the sunsets are amazing.
Our hosts Remco and Erin have thought of everything to make your stay so relaxing - there is nothing they have not thought of to make you stay absolutely enjoyable. Talk about thoughtful - on our last day our power was out and about 9:30 our host Remco shows up at the cottage with coffee and cookies (home baked) in hand - it was just what we needed!!!

We really enjoyed our stay at Birch Haven. We found everything we needed in the well stocked kitchen and also the game cabinet! The beds were so comfortable. Remco's instructions for finding the cabin were perfect and it was great meeting him. This was a really peaceful getaway!

Peaceful waterfront luxury cottage
My children and I enjoyed Birch Haven this past weekend. We made full use of the property. In the evenings while it rained we did some of the puzzles that are offered onsite. We loved waking up to the beautiful views and the sounds of the birds. My kids enjoyed playing with frogs and chopping wood and just all in all being outside looking at all things nature. We borrowed the row boat and did a day excursion over to the provincial park which made for a fun easy outing. At night its so quiet and peaceful and even enjoyed the sound of the rain on the roof. The cabin is super clean and very comfortable for our family of 5. It is well stocked with pretty much everything you need and the robes are a nice touch. The beds and pillows are a DREAM. We had the best sleeps. We enjoyed the big table for puzzles and games and enjoyed a few meals on the deck with the mosquitos (lol). Its so nice to have a getaway where you just show up with whatever clothes, food and a cold beverage or two and you are literally in paradise. Thanks for having us!!!

Our story begins in late 1967, when only a few houses and cabins had been established on the shores of beautiful Horsefly Lake. In fact, most lots on Millar Road were only just being offered for sale for the first time. Our family was one of the first to establish a recreational cabin on this end of the lake and eventually decided to retire here and build a beautiful log home – which we still call home today.

The property is only a short walk down the road, or paddle down the lake, from our home and is the perfect lakeside vacation property. Birch Haven is intended to be a place away from it all where you can rest, relax and recharge. The aim is to provide a luxury lakeside vacation experience with all the comforts of home. Because we understand and appreciate the importance of connectivity, we provide WiFi.
