Your vacation will be unforgettable in this new house ideally situated only 300 feet from Cape Cod Bay. Your private Cape Cod beach, Target View Beach, is just over the dunes at the end of your street or you can walk to the public Cole Road or First Encounter beaches. For fresh water swimming, Bridge Pond is also a short walk away. Nearby are Atlantic Ocean beaches, bike trails, nature trails, the National Seashore Park, great restaurants, and the town of Orleans for all your shopping needs. The new home, completed in April 1999, is a large, 2000 sq ft Cape Cod with two dogshed dormers in front, a full dormer in back, with a deck and screened-in porch. The house accommodates eight people with three queen beds and two twin beds. The house is open, light, and airy with cathedral ceilings, lots of windows, and ceiling fans. Beautifully decorated. We've received very positive feedback from our previous guests.
Walk to beach is approx. 300 feet or 5 min. walk. The house is located approximately two miles from our other Eastham house.
My wife, Gwyn, has been vacationing in Eastham every year since she was a kid. As a child she loved swimming in Cape Cod Bay, walking the tide flats, and exploring the area. When we had kids we returned to Eastham every year and rented several vacation houses. In 1999 we built our vacation house that incorporates all the things we liked about those rental houses and added those things we wish they had. As past renters of vacation houses we wanted our house to be open, bright, airy and have all the amenities and comforts we know you expect in a vacation house. The house is on a private street so eventhough you are a short walk to Cape Cod Bay you also have a large, quiet yard - the way the Cape used to be. The public Cole Road Beach is just up the beach from your private beach. Wiley Park is a short walk from the house. The park has a sandy beach on Great Pond, one of the many fresh water ponds in the area. The park also has picnic facilities and a playground. Eastham is the headquarters for the Cape Cod Seashore National Park, home to two of the best ocean beaches in America – Coastguard Beach and Nauset Beach.
Besides beach activities you may want to go biking on the Cape Cod Rail Trail, go fishing from your private beach or charter a boat, go shopping, or just explore the quaint Cape Cod towns. Nearby are the towns of Hyannis and Provincetown - where there is much to see and do. You may want to take a boat excursion to one of the outer islands of Nantucket or Martha's Vineyard or perhaps go whale watching. Whatever your plans we have made every effort to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

We chose this location because it has its own private bay beach and is centrally located for Cape activities - bay, ocean, and pond beaches; fishing; riding bikes; jogging; walking; or exploring nearby towns.
Walking distance to bay beaches and fresh water pond beaches are quite unique. It is also unique to find a new, clean, bright, and airy house so close to the beach. This is not a musty cottage, but a house where you will feel very comfortable.
We had a wonderful week with excellent beach weather, although hurricane Bob is supposed to blow by tomorrow.
Built many great sand castles, took walks, played mini golf, got ice cream and took a fantastic fishing trip with Captain Kid out of Harwichport.
Appreciate the house and all it has to offer. The wireless internet connection is appreciated greatly.
We enjoyed our stay here. We enjoyed using the eat in kitchen and back deck. However the screened in porch wasn't usable as it was covered in thick plastic so it would get really hot and no breeze. Other than that we would definitely stay again. We also enjoyed the location to the beach as it was not far of a walk at all and was especially great for our 2 yr old since it wasn't as rough as the ocean side.
This is a great house in great condition. It was open and airy with a well stocked kitchen for cooking, grilling and serving large groups. We enjoyed the deck, screened porch, and large outdoor shower as well as an easy, short walk to the beach on the dirt road/path that was no problem with small children. And the beds were comfy, which is not always the case with rentals. Would go back in a heartbeat. The only thing to keep in mind is that one of the queen bedrooms is in a balcony that overlooks the living room so this room is open and does not have a door.
