The cabin was very clean. Outside temp was very hot but cabin was very cool. It does need up keep. Didnt care for it being right in the back yard which was
The cabin was nice, would have preferred a little more privacy. The cabin is in the backyard of a bed and breakfast house. No one bothered us, however, the house and tenants/bed and breakfast clients were always there. The cabin was also beside a campground. There were campers behind and beside the cabin. The campground was quiet but people were always around.
Lots of room, very clean, close to lots of activite.

The description of the property should be updated. There is not two recliners in the main room. Tgere was one hard chair in the corner. There is no closet in the bedroom much less the walk in closet described in the listing. The last board on the back deck is broken and not level. There was a barking whining dog the last two evenings that was with someone visiting the people in the home on the site. There is a little snake that lives in the log siding of the cabin in a hole right outside the door. It was cute but not what i expected based on the description.
Check-in:Easy.Kitchen: You must bring EVERYTHING you need to cook with! Old pots and pans, salt and pepper available.Parking: 175ft. from vehicle and walk through obstacle course! Bring skinny wagon.Egress and regress inside and out, terrable. Had to move bed to other side of room to eliminate maze to walk through house. 3 stubbed toes and 2 bruised hipsHost: FriendlyLocation: Awesome. MT Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Grocery store and restaurants all close. Running creek out back, didn't see fish.Beds: one ok, other not so much.No laundry Do not open any doors or windows for fresh air! All screens have holes and will let flies in. No air circulation. Couple of fans would help. Small AC in window at one end.Black out curtains would be nice.
What a setting...creek rolling by...beautiful mountains...great road trips right out your front door. Thanks for letting me rent your place, I had an outstanding time there.
Had a great time, the cabin was perfect size and the hosts were very accommodating! Loved the private deck and all the wildlife! A minor annoyance was the smell of the wash water, but fresh clean drinking water was abundant!
Cabin had all the amenities we needed . Very good location to see Mount Rushmore Crazyhorse and other sites around the area

Hard access
It was an unusual entrance and way to get your supplies to the cabin- tucked in someone's backyard with camp grounds right across the creek on the two sides
We had the best time! Cute, comfy cabin in a nice central location. Redecorated and well stocked; pics do not do it justice. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Morning coffee on the deck listening to the stream was a beautiful, peaceful way to start each day. The hosts are super nice folks, A+++ hospitality!
Highly recommend! We hope to return soon!
The cabin was not clean at all. It was hard to be there.

Disappointed
The cabin was not as described. No Wi-fi. Small outdated TV with poor reception. Seats were across room with a bed in between. Screen door busted. Had to walk through mud to get to cabin.
We were trying out a couple new locations to stay on our annual anniversary trip this year and stumbled upon this location. We thought it was a little more secluded based on the pictures but was right off the highway with construction going on in the back, however it was a nice little walk down to the creek. The owner feeds the squirrels and they are running around busily, almost coming right up to you, so that was fun. The owners were friendly and helpful. Overall this is a decent place if you’re looking for something closer to the activities (and are ready for Christmas).
