Enjoy the simple life where the biggest decision you have to make is: should I have a beer or a cocktail? This rejuvenation haven is a new-build (2014) 58'x14' trailer/cabin with two bedrooms, a queen overlooking the canal and a double bed on the street side. We call her (our home) "Rejuvenator Place" and she's aptly named.
You'll leave refreshed and rejuvenated.
We welcome snow-birders who need a place to call home away from home. The kitchen is FULLY stocked with bakeware, cookware, glassware etc. There's a brand new washer and dryer (only use septic safe detergent).
There's also a double pull-out couch in the family room for the kids. All three areas have TVs in case it rains, but who wants to be inside?! There's a canoe and a kayak available as well as a grill for a cookout.
After you're refreshed from morning fishing off the dock (and a nap), there are plenty of stores in the area - just be aware that there is only one grocery store (7mi), one Domino's pizza delivery place (7mi) one convenience store (1.3mi) and plenty of bar/restaurants all along the island. Ragged Ass Saloon (1.2mi), Froggy's Pool Bar (1.3mi), Woody's Grill (1.6mi), Tiki Hut (1.5mi), The Waterfront (2.5mi).
If you want to venture further up the Island, there are quaint shops in the center of the 17mi long Island and an "artsy" Town, Matlacha (matt-la-shay') 12 mi back towards the mainland. Wander up the North end of the Island to Bookeelia and there are more hangouts like Captain Con's on the North end of the Island (16.2mi) by the fishing pier.
Here's where you'll find the latest news in the area:
Veterans, there are plenty of hangouts as well:: American Legion, VFW, Moose Lodge AND Elks Lodge (VFW is open to the public).
Please no smokers! This house will become our retirement home in more years than we'd like to count. Dogs are allowed, just don't let them jump on the beds with dirty paws.
