Fabulous!

We stayed at Saddlers for my husband's 60th birthday. We had all our family come to stay as there was plenty of space for all of us to have our own ensuite rooms. The house is beautiful, lovely decor, super clean and comfortable for 9 of us which is not always easy! Milly the owner was so helpful before our stay and gave us lots of great ideas of where to go and what to see. Along with a welcome hamper, there was even a card and cake for my husband! We had a really great time at Saddlers and would definitely return.

loved it!!!

This house was at a great location and it was right in the middle of everything making it very easy to go places. Milly was a lovely hostess and the house was perfect for a large family. All the rooms were excellent and very clean. The sunny garden had ample furniture and beautiful flowers. The house had been well looked after and was in great condition. Had an amazing family holiday and would be happy to go back!!!

Great house

The house was lovely - and the garden even better. A drive to the beaches in the area but that suited us just fine, lovely and quiet where we were. Everything was spotless when we arrived, and we were very lucky with the weather and had a week of being outside in the glorious gardens that surround the house. The only - and very slight - quibble was that the fridge was on the small side if the house was full to capacity - but then the week we were there was very hot so literally everything had to go into the fridge. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Wonderful property

Great property, immaculately decorated and with so many unexpected luxury touches. Stayed here with 3 generations of the family and a dog. We never felt constrained as there was so much room in the house and the lovely gardens. There’s every conceivable utensil and appliance in the kitchen, and all the en-suite bathrooms were perfectly clean and equipped. Milly couldn’t have been any more helpful as a host, and even posted some items back to us that we’d left in one of the bedrooms. All-in-all, a fabulous property with loads to do just a short drove away, as well as pubs and restaurants within easy walking distance.

The house was spotless and immediately we felt at home. The house is set in lovely grounds and surrounded by picturesque scenery The house is in a great location, close to some beautiful was along the South Downs and not too far from some gorgeous beautiful beaches. I feel in love with this house in 2017 and had the plan to convert it from a family home to a B&B from day one. I live here with my dog and cat and spend a lot of my time busy with B&B and gardening.

I have drawn ideas from my travel experience around the world to create a B&B which has everything you need. I aim to provide my guests with a memorable but restful stay here at Saddlers

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

Before Corona-19, Saddlers ran as a boutique B&B so the rooms are all perfectly set up to welcome guests and have all the luxury items required to make your stay perfect. The house is bright with large windows and has a very relaxed feel yet elegantly deisgned and offers a home from home experience.

The house was recently renovated in June 2020 so is looking immaculate and everything works perfectly. 4 bedrooms on the 1st floor and 1 king (Brooklands) on the ground floor.

The house is surrounded by a well loved and looked after English country garden with lots of relaxing places to sit and enjoy. Our favourite place is eating under our 120 year old apple tree.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Famous long beaches, Goodwood races, Chichester city, woodland walks are all nearby.

Funtington is beautiful village set in the foothills of the Southdowns National Park and perfectly located for trips to Goodwood, Bosham, West Wittering and Chichester.

We have a 4 delightful country pubs near by. Fox & Hounds - 5 mins walk, Hallidays Restaurant - 2 mins walk & The Richmond Arms, an award winning pub - 2 mins drive and Horse & Groom (in the Micheline Guide) 1 mins drive. All serving fabulous food with a relaxing countryside atmosphere and take-away options.

Kingley Vale National Park is 20 mins walk / 3 mins drive from Saddlers and hosts Europe's oldest Yew trees and offers incredible views of Sussex & Isle of Wight (on a clear day).

We have a fantastic farm shop in the village and a superb farm round the corner selling their produce (sausages and bacon are amazing).

We can also recommend where to go and buy the most delicious Selsey crab and lobster.
