Comfortable, clean, and fun getaway! Our dog loved it, too!

  • 5 of 5

Our host, Mark was amazing and accommodating to all of our needs upon our arrival and throughout the trip. The yacht we stayed on was perfect for us. Had everything we would need there, and very clean and cozy. We enjoyed Mark's charter services- we took a sunset charter to a private island with our dog, and loved it! We got some beautiful pictures of the sunset. The dog got to play on this beach we were taken to, and she had a blast! Our stay in Key Largo was great, getting to explore areas all around us, including the John Pennekamp Coral Reef State park. Beautiful! Will be back!

Great on-the-water spot for adventurous folks!

  • 5 of 5

Thanks to Mark and his hospitality, we had a great first night in the Keys! He was easy to get in touch with and flexible with booking, checking in, and anything we wanted/needed during our stay. He even delivered a deck of cards on a moment’s notice! We took him up on his offer to go out in his boat—an afternoon of cruising around Manatee Bay, swimming, dinner, and sunset chasing!

The rental itself was just as expected—a well-loved vessel ready for adventurous visitors. Clean and stocked with the necessities (including toiletries if forgotten), a comfortable bed, and even air conditioning.

Something that set this rental apart from is the ability to park right in the marina lot and walk to the boat! No need to arrange a dinghy ride over, or kayak your way there.

Thanks, again, Mark! We hope to be back soon.

The perfect unconventional getaway

  • 4 of 5

If you're looking for a comparably priced but unconventional Key Largo getaway, this is for you. This boat had everything we needed for a great visit duringn our scuba diving trip. Mark, our host, is accomodating and friendly, and treats you like he's known you for years. He can reccomend local hot spots or places to find great food, as well as activities to pass the time if you need it. The boat had everything we needed to enjoy our stay, including cookware, toiletries, and big, fluffy towels. The bunks were very comfortable. The marina is super quiet. If you're worried about the motion of the boat, I get seasick very easily and I felt almost no movement at all while aboard. We spent our evenings enjoying the cool breezes on the deck while looking at the stars. These accomodations are a bit rustic so if you're someone who likes turn down service and pillow mints, you might not like this. While not brand new, the boat was super clean. The shower was superb, perhaps the thing we enjoyed most after scuba diving all day. HOT water! Both bunks have AC which kept the whole boat comfortably cool all day and night. The marina is just a few miles outside of Key Largo proper, with easy access off of US-1. It does kind of sneak up on you so keep an eye out for that left turn lane between mile marker 113 and 111. An excellent option for those looking for something quiet, clean, and a little outside the ordinary.

Fun experience but for The Adventurous only!

  • 3 of 5

We enjoyed our time on the boat as it was something we had never done before. The beds were comfortable as was the air conditioning and it was quiet for sleeping. Mark was very friendly, accommodating, and quick to return our calls when we had issues. This experience is not for everyone however. It has a porta potty that requires a three-step process to flush and the water system must be turned on and off when you want to use any water. Irma took out the docks so you must walk a small plank to get to the boat. My biggest concern was for the safety of myself and my daughter and our belongings as there really is no way to lock the boat when you leave and when you are in the boat it would be very easy to get past the very minimal door and lock. In fact, you just open the hatch... reach over...unlock it and open the door. Mark was friendly and helpful but my advice to him would be to clarify the additional Services he offers in advance so that it can be worked in to his guests itineraries. When I travel I have a pretty full agenda and it doesn't always leave time for several hours worth of last minute additions. I also want to mention for anyone considering this property that you cannot use the pool area unless Mark is with you.

Owner's Response: We are glad you and your daughter enjoyed a good time on our boat and had a comfortable stay! Stay on a boat is a unique experience that everybody can try at least once in life and find if you like or not. Boats are different to houses and for that reason they are on the water. To use the water, boats need a pump to take the water from outside, so inside of a boat you need to switch on the pump to use the water and when you don't need it you need to switch off to let the pump rest. The porto-potty is super simple, functional solution to people continually plugging the toilet, this is the first concern from anyone we've seen in over 70+ guests. We have installed since your stay a lock on the door, the boat is under constant video surveillance, the manager live on the front of the marina and it's located in a very quite community of respected middle aged and senor citizens. As for the 5' plank to board the boat, it's very sturdy and made out of IPA wood that would never fail. The pool area is next to the marina and we live there so we are always available to open the gate to our guests so they can enjoy the pool area. Thank you so much for your feedback, we hope it help to our futures guests. Our goal is that everyone that stays on our boat has a nice, happy and relaxing time as possible! Marian & Mark.
