Ubicado en Hart Valley (River Falls) a lo largo de las frescas aguas frías de Oil Camp Creek. Esta casa de campo totalmente amueblada es una gran escapada. Rutas de senderismo, ciclismo de montaña y caídas de agua con más de 30,000 acres de bosque preservado. O traiga un buen libro y relájese en el porche de la pantalla con los sonidos del arroyo, las ranas y los grillos. ¡O sumérjase en el agua fresca de la montaña para refrescarse! Es hora de volver a la naturaleza ... pozo de fuego al aire libre (leña incluida) y parrilla de carbón (traiga su propio carbón y encendedor). El otoño y el invierno son excelentes épocas del año para visitar esta área. ¡Los hermosos árboles de colores otoñales son impresionantes! ¡Y sentarse junto a la hoguera en el arroyo mientras asa malvaviscos lo convierte en un día muy relajante!

So peaceful!

Everything was wonderful! My only complaint is that I had to leave and come back to the real world. The sound of the stream, just feet off of the back screened in porch, will take you away to a complete state of relaxation! Simple, quaint, all of the essentials, and PEACEFUL. Can't wait to go back!

Perfect getaway!

Patricia is very thorough in providing pre-check in information so that there are no hiccups during the arrival process. She is super flexible and permitted us to stay an extra day, as we were having such a good time that we didn’t want to go home. It was so nice to be unplugged and relaxed in this peaceful, private, and serene location! Our tour guide, Maya, was icing on the cake!

Quiet Cottage by the creek

What a gem! We had a wonderful week at the cottage and enjoyed being away from it all. Patricia is an excellent host and easy to communicate with. The creek was perfect to just sit and listen and our son enjoyed getting his feet wet. Neighborhood dog Maya visited and went on a hike with us. She is a delight. During the day we went hiking and mountain biking, but was nice to come back to the cottage and enjoy the fire and grill. The cottage was clean and very well stocked with all those little extra things you often don't have with you. Overall, a perfect place for the 3 of us. We hope to be back one day!

Babbling brook serenity in the backyard

Place was outstanding! Not only was it clean, peaceful, and just the right size for the two of us, but the owner was absolutely amazing. We had scheduled this trip far in advance, coming from Myrtle Beach, but several days before arrival a hurricane was on the way to the coast. Patricia reached out to me And asked if we needed to evacuate early, and told us we could have the place a few days early at no additional charge. What an amazing woman! Our schedules didn’t allow us to take her up on the offer, but it meant the world to us knowing there’s good people out there, doing the right thing, for the right reason. That in itself, would make me want to do business with this remarkable woman again. Regarding the home, it was quiet, peaceful, and secluded from the hustle and bustle of life. There’s a walking trail in to the state park a couple hundred feet down the road, and we were five minutes away from Jones Gap State Park, where we did a beautiful hike up to rainbow falls. Five minutes from the grocery store, and 10 minutes from shops and restaurants if that’s what we wanted to do. Good little hot dog joint at the end of the road as well. Place was spotless, well-maintained, and she left it as if it was lived in, with cute little notes saying.... “help yourself to anything you need”. So different than so many other places that say... keep your hands off my stuff!!! No cobwebs, no bugs, just an adorable getaway. Great blue heron in the stream out back hunting for fish in the morning. Neighborhood dog named Maya came to visit us daily. Sweet little thing, and we made sure we picked up some dog treats at the grocery store. Everything we were looking for. Highly recommend it! Thank you Patricia!

Great Mountain Adventure

My boys (6 and 7) and I had an awesome time staying at this cabin. It had everything we needed to enjoy our mountain adventure. We were close to plenty of hiking and even some zip lining. My boys really enjoyed exploring the stream and having nightly camp fires. We also enjoyed the opportunity to hike right from the property. Patricia was very kind and helpful. I would highly recommend this property if you are looking for a quiet place to escape the busyness of the world and enjoy time with family or friends.

Much-needed respite!

We absolutely loved our stay in Patricia's cottage! It was beautiful, spacious but quaint, clean, very well-stocked, the beds are super comfortable, and the yard and screen porch view (AND sound!!) was heavenly. We had no cell service (AT&T)....but that was perfect bc our family spent all the time together without distractions. Maya greeted us every day, and was such a sweet dog! We will absolutely be back to the cottage on the creek....would make a perfect annual tradition. Thank you Patricia!

Great Get-Away

It was exactly what my husband and I were looking for. We were able to relax and recharge. We enjoyed the quietness and the screened in porch at the creekside. It was a wonderful get-away!

Very nicely secluded

We had such an enjoyably quiet stay here. The cabin was stocked with necessities, and the full-sized kitchen was great. We cooked our meals and stayed in to enjoy the beautiful sounds of the stream. We'd definitely stay here again!

Cozy retreat

Patricia was helpful with directions and a gracious host. The location was perfect for us with the mountain stream a few feet from the cabin. We hope to stay there again.

Lovely Place To Stay!

This place is beautiful! It's backyard is a beautiful creek. The cottage was lovely and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. I would love to come back in the fall and stay a week!

Perfect spot !

This great find is the perfect getaway ! It felt like we were home from the moment we entered . Very comfortable furnishings and very clean . The outside is the best part ! The creek is beautiful .We were there in the winter so we did not get in the water but just the sound of it was so soothing . Of course now we want to book again in a warmer time of year so we can enjoy the water. Patricia was great ! We will return !

Marietta Get-Away

A secluded and beautiful cabin awaited us after a long trip. The screened porch was comfy and allowed us to view and listen to the creek. We were amazed at how well stocked the kitchen was. I enjoy cooking and everything I could need was there and more! Patricia was easy to contact when necessary and always pleasant and helpful. It's a beauty of a place and quite a deal! Enjoyed it immensely.

Relaxing by the creek...

We loved the sounds of the creek from the screened porch. The table out there was right next to the creek and it was lovely. We used this cottage as our jumping off spot to drive up into the mountains for leaf-peeping and waterfalls. The drive to Dry Falls (near Highlands) was long, but it was well worth it to walk down to and then under the falls!

Lovely little cottage

The cottage by the creek was everything we had hoped for. Private, clean, and relaxing. We loved the vintage photographs and decor and the screened-in porch where we sat and listened to the sound of the water flowing past. Everything was just wonderful, with plenty of amenities. We do recommend.

Personal retreat & family time

What a peaceful place. It's quiet and out of the way, but just a few minutes from Jones Gap Park (which is also amazing). If you need a bit of civilization, the charming town of Travelers Rest is just 25 minutes away with great restaurants. Loved staying here.

This Property is an all year destination. It's cool fresh waters are enjoyable in the Summer ..... the beautiful colors of the mountains in Fall ...... Bonfires in the Winter months ..... Spring time flowers !!!!! Located at the base of the Appalachian Mountains ..... hiking, mountain biking, boating, fishing to name a few of the activities !! Or just relax ..... peaceful and quiet !!
