We request a £200 security deposit at check-in, which will be returned after your stay. We also require all our guests to sign our in-house Terms & Conditions and to submit a copy of your ID, after you have booked with us.

Best place to stay

Best place to stay in edinburgh! You literally could not be closer to all the cool stuff to do. We walked everywhere and never needed a taxi. Super clean and has everything you need. Only minor thing is bring ear plugs if you're staying in the bedroom by the street, because you hear everyone coming home from the bar. I didn't mind because it was part of the city experience, my husband just wore ear plugs to sleep. Would stay here again!

Great location, clean but needs a renovation

Location is perfect, keys in box as promised. Looks like the photos but the whole place is a bit dingy. Needs a coat of paint in every room and new furniture that isn’t wobbly and some new bathroom fixtures too. Beds a little lumpy but serviceable. For the price, it did the trick. Family of four stayed there just fine.

Disgusted and disappointed

The rental was filthy with a broken bed and black mold in the shower. Wood molding in the kitchen was filthy and held in place with packing tape. The kitchen chairs were falling apart..we tried to fix them. The couch was disgusting, I wouldn’t let a dog on it. . Hopefully the owners take the $9000 dollars they got from us clean it and buy furniture. Have photos if needed.

Prime Location

The location is excellent- steps from the castle and Grassmarket; near convenient bus lines and all tourist interests. Coffee shops and restaurants are steps away. The apartment is a bit run down: the couch is very stained and gross, some cabinets in disrepair (held together with tape) etc. If you are just looking for a place to lay your head at night and spend most of the day on the town, this is the perfect place. If you are traveling with a family/group and would like to use a common area, this will be a disappointment. Also, be aware that because the location is prime and in the midst of everything, it is noisy- the bagpipes play all day nearby. This may be a VRBO issue and not an issue with the host, but the links received through the app with instructions and information were corrupted and inaccessible. Fortunately, the apartment contained hard copies of the information so we were not lacking. Overall, we really enjoyed the convenience of this awesome location, but were disappointed with the cleanliness and attention to detail one would expect in this price point.

Rundown place with inaccurate pictures

We love VRBO's and have stayed at many over the years. This is the only one we have ever had to give a bad review for. To start with the large hole in the living room wall is very unpleasing as well as the screws protruding from the wall. The baseboard in the kitchen is held together with plastic wrap. The floors are very worn and look to have been flooded to make them expanded and rough. The table and chairs are especially wobbly and unsafe so we were not comfortable using these at all. The TV is not installed properly so it is has static and is unwatchable. The garbage bin has a broken top so it is a problem to open and close without the lid falling in the bin. The windows are filthy and the wall are not much better. The entry door has no internal lock so we felt that our safety was compromised. Each bedroom has only a handle without a strike plate for the latch to close properly. The lock in the top of the bedroom door does not have a bolt so it is useless for closure and security. The bathroom shower door is not attached and so it swings in when a person is showering creating water issues we had to clean up. The water heaters are also a problem since they were either scalding hot or freezing cold. This is another safety issue that needs to be addressed since children would not be safe with temperature of water. The tap sets also need replacing since they are so hard to turn that my wife was unable to use them by herself. The bedroom walls are filthy and so much more.
