Cwm Cottage Shepherds hut is nestled within the Cascob valley in Mid-Wales. Just 8 miles across the English/Welsh boarder takes you deep into the Welsh countryside, surrounded by the Radnor Forest, steeped in history, myths and miles upon miles of paths to walk, cycle or trek.
The Shepherds hut has central heating, a fully fitted kitchen, bathroom and king size bed, along with all the luxuries you’d expect from a self catering “glamping experience”.

Lovely stay in a very cosy shepherd's hut that had everything we needed. Laura is a great host, responded immediately to our queries and helped us in every way possible. We'd definitely like to stay again!

The property was as described and the hosts were very accommodating. We spent the weekend there and had enough wood, milk even though we brought our own bits and pieces. Phone signal is poor but a short walk away from the hut you can easily get service and stretch your legs. You will absolutely love this place if you want to detach from every day life for a few days

Excellent little stay

Very neatly tucked away between farmers fields, this small but accommodating hut feels very private and has everything you need. A fully equipped kitchenette, a bathroom, living space and a full sized bed. Enjoyed the peaceful stay in the hut

Shepherds Hut

Lovely and relaxing hide away. Perfect for solo travellers or couples who just want to get away from the day to day noise. Loved waking up with the sun rise & nature to explore and relaxing under the stars in the evening. Views from the hut are beautiful and the hut it’s self has everything you could want for a relaxing stay.

Such a lovely property. Really enjoyed our stay. Would highly recommend for a quiet and calm holiday

The property was beautiful and comfortable with amazing views. Me and my partner chose this place as we have very demanding jobs. It was lovely to be in a place where it was quiet and calm. The whole experience was absolutely amazing and everyone was soo lovely. We are definitely going to book again.

Relaxing

Wonderful relaxing break. Great location if you are looking to get away from it all and the constant background drone of everyday life. Facilities provided at the Shepherds Hut are perfectly adequate if you just want to relax, stay put and enjoy walking through the lovely scenery as we did.

Absolutely beautiful shepherds hut

Myself and my partner stayed with our dog for 2 nights. The location is incredible, the hut is so clean and lovely, dog treats left for our dog and welsh cakes for us :) gorgeous views from every window. We are visiting again soon and have recommended it to family and friends who are booking too. Lovely quiet getaway from homelife and lovely to be without our phones!

The Perfect Place For Our Little Family ❤️💙🐾

The Shepherd’s Hut was an absolutely beautiful place for our family to stay this weekend. Laura provided all of the information we needed and we just had the most relaxing and perfect time. We’d definitely say to remember to bring some mosquito spray or cream as we did get visitors but what a place this is! We played Scrabble at the table outside with the fire pit burning on our final night and we found it so peaceful. The forest is a brilliant place to go for a walk, especially if you have a doggy with you and we just can’t recommend this place highly enough! 🌟😊

Loved our stay at the Cwm cottage shepherds hut. A beautifully appointed accommodation, both simple and stylish with everything we needed. Loved having a technology break/detox and the peace and nature and birds right outside the door were delightful. Really liked the fact there were so many windows in the hut and enjoyed moon and stargazing from the comfy bed with the window open. Also had a lovely fire in the bowl out front. We enjoyed beautiful walks from the door and a little drive to New Radnor to the community pub which is really friendly and newly refurbished, followed by a walk up the wimble for Sunset. Laura was very friendly and gave us good advice. Also loved Meeting the donkey Julie and Meg the dog. We came home very relaxed and will definitely be back! Thank you!

Tiny home heaven, relaxing, 5* comfort, stylish local craftsmanship, everything you need, great view

Cwm is so peaceful you can do nothing but instantly relax, the sounds of nature is the main thing you'll hear here, it's like being in a real life meditation. The white bed linen on a very comfortable and ample size bed is a wonderful place to lie quietly watching and hearing the world go by. Central Heating and shower so efficient and luxurious that being in a tiny home for a few day help me realise how little I actually need and was a great get away to relax and reassess what's important. We visited local towns and found some of the friendliest people, watching farming happen in such an intimate and gentle way is part of the unique charm of of Cwm and a true reflection of the lovely hosts.

Amazing place!

What an incredible location! The shepherds hut was bigger than we imagined and had everything you could possibly need. We were looking for somehwere secluded and this was prefect for us and our dogs. Laura was so friendly and helpful and answered any questions i asked. There are stunning views out of all the windows and we really enjoyed watching and listening to all the wildlife surrounding us. Beautiful walks nearby, with lots of suggestions in the welcome pack! Would definitely stay again ☺️

Hidden Gem

Such an absolutely stunning location, very rural, quiet and tranquil. The property is the cutest thing I've ever seen and I was very surprised by the size of the property there was plenty of space for my partner and I and our little fur baby. We had the pleasure of watching the host round up the sheep in the morning with the dogs. The grounds are beautiful!! We enjoyed the fire pit every night and enjoyed bbqs. Its very private and even though the house is only a 1 minute walk away it felt like we had our own little farm land for a couple of days. Laura was a great host if we needed anything it was always provided. We were very very sad to leave but are already looking to plan our return visit. I would highly recommend if you need some time to escape and be with nature. Thank you so very much!!!

Fantastic Stay

Just back from staying at the Shepherd's hut. Would highly recommend for anyone who wants to get off the grid for a while. It has everything you need for a relaxing stay. Will definitely return.
