Stunning secluded location if you're looking for peace and quiet.
Stunning secluded location if you're looking for peace and quiet. Well presented property which was warm, comfortable and very clean. All the necessary equipment for two people. Plenty of local walking routes, some of which are challenging if sought after. Close to both Thirsk and the very pretty Helmsley market town and village. Well recommended.

It was a lovely little cottage in a very nice area but easy to get to places of interest.
It was a lovely little cottage in a very nice area but easy to get to places of interest. Jackie the host was very helpful and welcoming and she had furnished the cottage with nice but quirky things. It was a great place for a break and we really enjoyed staying there. Only slight problem for us was the mattress was a bit hard but I suppose that is a personal choice. Great break and would certainly stay again.
My husband and I stayed at wren cottage Friday to Monday first weekend into 2025.
My husband and I stayed at wren cottage Friday to Monday first weekend into 2025. The cottage is gorgeous the decor amazing , fully equipped high quality fittings and so clean. It’s a beautiful but quirky cottage with an equally quirky shepherds hut in the garden as well as a lovely stream that runs at the side of the cottage. A lovely appreciated welcome pack was left by the owner. Such a relaxing chilled long weekend with added bonus of getting up on the Sunday to a blanket of snow outside. We walked to a local pub called the Caroenters Arms which took us about 40 mins but worth it as the food was delicious and the pub itself really nice. I really can’t say enough about this cottage except to say you will not be disappointed in going here. If you’re after a quiet chilled relaxing few days then book this cottage.
