La Maison des Compagnons

The Maison des Compagnons was the meeting point for quarry workers after work. Small and friendly, it has been renovated with the intention of being a love nest, a haven of peace. This 20 m2 cottage is full of charm, perfect for one or two people.

Well insulated from the neighbours, it has a breathtaking view of the Canal du Nivernais, the Monts du Morvan and the roofs of Chevroches. With its two terraces and access to private gardens, it will enchant you with its charms...

Designed as a studio, the cottage offers all the amenities of a large gîte concentrated in a small space: shower room, toilet, kitchenette and dining table. There is even a functional indoor fireplace, which, when open to the outside, doubles as a barbecue. The bedroom is on the mezzanine with a double bed 160×200 and has very high quality bedding. It is accessible by a staircase. The gîte has a functional fireplace in the living room, fuelled by wood logs.

Located in the heights of the charming village of Chevroches (58 - Nièvre), at the gates of Clamecy, the Domaine des Carriers overlooks the roofs of Burgundy, the Canal du Nivernais and plunges our eyes into the horizon made of the last hills of the Morvan. This vast space includes a large building with 4 luxurious bedrooms and common rooms (a small living room, a kitchen open to a breakfast room), an independent gîte with two bedrooms (La Maison du Contremaître) and a second small and charming gîte with one bedroom (La Maison des Compagnons). Several gardens and terraces are also available for visitors. Free wifi access is available, as well as free private parking for guests of the estate. From family reunions to quiet retreats, Domaine des Carriers offers a variety of options to ensure your stay is a success.

Take advantage of our infinity pool, with a panoramic view of the Nivernais canal, the roofs of Chevroches and the foothills of the Morvan. Relax in an idyllic setting, surrounded by beautiful vegetation and restful calm. Heated swimming pool, for private use and reserved for the guests of the gîtes and guest rooms. Open from 9 am to 8 pm. 12 metres long and 5 metres wide. Closed from 1 October to 1 May 2023.
