Cause of a wasp nest we got an upgrade and had a huge one with doors to the garden. We've also lucky with the weather which make the stay wonderful. The host was very friendly as also the lady who cleans the cottages.Had an 8 mile walk there with beautiful views.

The Hen House was comfortable with all the amenities you would need.

The Hen House was big enough for we 2 and comfortable with all the amenities we needed. The Hall is close to many areas of interest which was great.

Lovely rural break in the countryside

A lovely location in the countryside, the accommodation was spacious very clean and well presented and in keeping with what we were hoping for in a cottage suite. The cottage came with full amenities that allowed you to be self catering if need be.

The perfect getaway.

Beautiful place, a warm welcome when we arrived. Wonderful people who were only too happy to help. We just wanted a quiet place to spend the weekend away from everything and this was perfect. Very clean and tidy in a very peaceful setting. Would love to return and would highly recommend to anyone.

Excellent, as always.

Long weekend for my birthday. Third time of staying at Hamsteels. We love the location, secluded but close enough to shops, bars and restaurants in local towns. June, the owner, is friendly, welcoming and accommodating. The views are glorious, the cottages are comfortable and well appointed. There is ample parking close to your accommodation, and a decent wine awaits you - happy days!

Hamsteels Hall - great location, but in need of tlc

We dropped off our son at university in Durham, helped installing him in his new house and visited friends in the region.
