Warm welcome and charming cottage
Unfortunately, I only got to stay 1 night but fell in love with the quirky cottage with the flagstone floors and the fresh eggs left in the kitchen for breakfast along with 2 nice bottles of cider!

Visiting from Australia to see a seriously ill elderly relative in the local village. Having our own place to stay and the great amenities was a godsend.

Lovely short break
We were visiting for a family wedding nearby and we were extremely impressed with the welcome and friendliness. The cottages are lovely and a much more relaxed option than a hotel. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts and we were made to feel very comfortable. Thank you!

PERFECT!
We could only stay for one night, but were made to feel extremely welcome and really appreciated the breakfast items in the fridge and cupboard. Delightful cottage, lovely comfy beds and good quality linen (I'm fussy!) and is in a very accessible location. Would 100% recommend and come back again.

Wonderful cottage great location
Another lovely stay at withy cottages. Everything you could need for your stay, cottage is cosy and the owners go that extra mile to add in little extras. The location is quiet and peaceful but close enough to local amenities for everything you need, and the location is great for exploring and sight seeing beautiful villages and also the coast. This was not our first visit to withy cottages and won’t be our last - totally recommend 👍

Charming, spotlessly clean cottage
Spent 4 wonderful nights at 1 Withy Cottage as we explored the region. The cottage was supplied with a full range of breakfast items including eggs from our hosts own chickens! We took advantage of the nice weather to soak up some sun on the adjoining patio. Our hosts were gracious and helpful when we needed assistance. If ever back in the same area we would absolutely book the cottage again.

About the host
Hosted by Host
I have lived in Knapp House which is next to Withy Cottage for many years. I enjoy living in this beautiful & peaceful part of the country. I have thoroughly enjoyed renovating the cottages & house, transforming them into somewhere that our guests can really relax and enjoy the fabulous Somerset Levels on foot by bicycle or car.
I worked as a Beauty Therapist for the past 30 years from my clinic in the small town of Castle Cary, just 25 minutes away, retiring in spring 2025.
I aim to offer the very best service you could hope for and as I live so close I am on always hand should you need.
With this in mind, although the accommodation is self-catering I have chosen to offer a simple breakfast for the first night of your stay which will be left in the kitchen for you to prepare for yourself at your leisure. I love the area because of its natural beauty with each season there is always something happening. Fantastic nature and wildlife surround us in an understated way. Ideal for special interests such as walking, bird watching, fishing & visiting national trust houses & historic monuments nearby but yet not far from places such as Bath, Bristol & seaside West
