One Bedroomed Cottage Surrounded By Over 6 Acres of Breath-taking Scenery

A one bedroom mezzanine with en-suite showeroom. Including a private terrace and parking, well equipped kitchen and open plan living.

Beaulieu Gites are surrounded by vineyards, ancient woodland and even a Tor. Nestled between Villefranche de Lonchat and Monpeyroux, with Bordeaux and Bergerac being less than an hour's drive away.
Our two Gites are ideal for couples that wish to get away from the hustle and bustle of life to experience peace and tranquillity.
Our Two Gites contain a mezzanine bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, Linen, bath and pool towels supplied. A spacious open plan living area, stereo centre with blue tooth docking, well equipped kitchen, a Nespresso coffee machine, a complimentary bottle of wine, free Wi-Fi and a private terrace that leads out onto acres of beautiful countryside which is briefly interrupted by a stunning pool (10 metres by 5 metres in size) and lounge area.
For nature lovers and artists alike we have 2 natural Ponds that are spring fed. Teaming with wildlife such as Kingfishers, Terrapins, Dragonflies, Butterflies, Moorhens and much, much more.
Should you wish to venture out and discover the local area you will find some of the best day and night markets, vineyards, brocantes and history that France has to offer!

We had an amazing stay at Beaulieu Gites. The accommodation is lovely with a beautiful mezzanine bedroom. This was nice and cool at all times and a fan helped to make it really comfortable at night despite the hot days. The pool area is exceptional, well kept, perfect temperature and with well tended landscaping all around. Bibi is the perfect host and even helped me jump start the hire car when I’d run the battery down. We would really recommend a trip to Saint Emilion - just a 30 min drive through the beautiful vineyards. We very much hope to return.

Excellent property with everything you could possibly need. Bed very comfortable, we slept very well which is not always the case with holiday properties! Bibi was an excellent host and couldn't do enough to make our holiday perfect, although she was very discreet and not at all intrusive. Our dog also had the holiday of a lifetime, making great friends with Bibi's dogs and son. Thoroughly recommend this gite and will be returning.

An oasis of calm and tranquility

A very attractive rustic gite set in attractive well maintained grounds. The gite is well appointed with all you need for a very restful and relaxing holiday. The generous pool area being a blissful added bonus, as was the shade under the trees, considering the temperatures were in the mid to high 30’s during our stay. Short drive to boulangerie in Villefranche de Lonchat for daily essentials and easy access to Lac du Gurson for a shady walk. Ideal area to base yourself if you wish to explore local markets and enjoy sampling the vineyard offerings, all away from the masses of tourists in the western Dordogne. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday, and Bibi is a great host.

Quiet and relaxing

A typically French rural location to enjoy a relaxing stay. Ideally placed for the Dordogne and the exceptional Bordeaux and St Emillion wine regions. Bibi was really helpful with local recommendations. The property was perfect for us and our dog. Swimming pool and the outdoor seating was very enjoyable.

Perfect place to unwind

Bibi is a fantastic host. The Gite was spotless and set in a tranquil setting. The kitchen is well equipped with a Nespresso machine and microwave. The patio is private and overlooks the two fish ponds. The Gite also comes with its own bbq too. The pool is regularly cleaned and was the perfect temperature. The Gite is 5 mins drive from the local village, 15 to a great hypermarket and around 35 mins to Bergerac. Perfect location if you want to explore the region and its many vineyards.

The perfect getaway

We had an absolutely amazing time here for the week. The area is calm and beautiful but also provides so much to do within an easy reach. Bibi is a gem of a host; her recommendations for markets and the wine tour she arranged for us were ideal and significantly improved our stay. So did the dogs!

We had two wonderful weeks relaxing in what is such a beautiful area. Bibi has ensured the gite has everything you need and it was spotless. We honestly could not fault it. The pool was perfect and the surroundings peaceful. We would definitely like to book again.

Delightful Stay

The property was beautiful & rustic. It accommodated us well, with everything we needed for our long stay & the bed (which is most important) was super comfortable. The surrounding green land was stunning, with wrap around views of the area, including some very old ruins. We were about a 15 minute drive from the local supermarket & town, which was close enough, yet far enough, as we were looking for peace & quiet. Bibi was incredibly accommodating & helpful when we needed her, but was never intrusive. The cherry on top were her wonderfully, lovable dogs who came to visit every day & got along well with our cockerpoo. We miss them very much already. Thank you for sharing your gorgeous corner of the world with us. We would definitely return!

Lovely Peaceful Friendly stay

Beautiful wonderful quiet location, Bibi was very kind and helpful and couldn't do enough to for us, Ziggi & Seven were also a delight and often came to say hi :)) Spotted Deer in the fields close to the house which was also a wonderful sight! Would definitely return and stay again!

Lovely week in a gorgeous corner of France

A perfect week in the Dordogne, Bibi's gite was immaculately clean, with every amenity we needed. The pool was wonderful, especially as it was 30C+ while we were there. Really quiet location, we could just relax when we wanted to, but there are some lovely towns within 30-40 minutes if you want to explore. We would definitely stay again.

Lovely Quiet Gite

Bibi is a wonderful host - very helpful when needed, but in no way intrusive. The two gites are private, with one facing the lovely clean warm pool and the other, which we had, facing out over a lovely view of the countryside. From the terrace we watched the birds come and go - a heron, turtle dove, house martins, black redstarts and kestrels. The gite is very well equipped and comfortable and within easy reach of restaurants and supermarkets - Intermarche in Montpon and LeClerc in Castillon. Daily visits from Bibi's 3 very friendly dogs; however, the French couple in the other gite had a large German Shepherd which appeared threatening, although they told us she was all bark! Very much recommended for a relaxing break in a lovely rural area, thank you Bibi.

Beautiful rural gite

Wonderful place to relax and unwind. Clean, well-equipped gite in beautiful surroundings. Lovely pool shared with 1 other couple. Short drive to local town. Lake with swimming within walking distance. We had a wonderful week and Bibi was a fabulous host.

Serenity and Peace in the Countryside

The gite is located in the beautiful countryside just under 2 miles from the nearest village with a couple of shops and restaurants. The lac du garçon was nearby with some water sports activity for when you are feeling more energetic. There was everything we needed in the gite including a fan for the hot nights, coffee machine and airer for drying off your swimming stuff. The pool was refreshing and with only one other couple staying at the property was always a quiet and relaxing place. Bibi the host was friendly and welcoming, always on hand for any questions and even arranged a trip to a local Vineyard for us. She also provided us with details of a local firm to hire bikes from although the surrounding area was quite hilly. Her dogs were amazingly friendly and quietly roamed around the large grounds. Nature was prevalent in abundance in the area. Buzzards soaring high above, swallows swooping to drink from the pool and deer cautiously feasting on the grass. All in all this was an exceptional holiday in a great location in an amazing gite but you definitely need your own transport if you want to get out and about.

An amazing place to stay!!

We spent 2 weeks in this idyllic oasis of calm and beauty🙂 The reviews and photos could not have prepare us for just how beautiful and amazing this place is! Bibi was the perfect host and made sure we had everything we needed and more. The Gite was cool and spacious with lovely touches. We spent days relaxing around the stunning pool terrace and found it a perfect location to relax and unwind. The gite is in a perfect location for getting to St Emillion, Bergerac, St Foy Le Grand and for enjoying the delights and activities in both the Dordogne River just to the south and the Isle just to the North., with canoe hire and boat trips available. Thank you Bibi for sharing your little piece of paradise with us😃
