La Grande Vue is a magnificent 4-storey villa situated in the village of Saint Cyprien, on the sloping hillside above the Dordogne River in the Aquitaine region of France. With rustic stone walls and breathtaking views, La Grande Vue ideal for a holiday at anytime of the year.

The house boasts exquisite views, modern finishes and plenty of space for groups of six to ten people. Working from the ground up, the first floor consists of a fully equipped kitchen, with a round table that seats eight; a separate scullery; a guest loo; and a grand dining room. The dining room table also seats eight people and there are sofas around the fireplace, giving it a relaxed, homely feel. A wrought-iron table and chairs are available if you want to sit outside at street level to watch the world go by as you enjoy your morning coffee.

The next level has an open plan sitting room with two separate seating areas, a fireplace and wide balcony. A study/ TV room leads off this living area, fully equipped with a flat screen TV, cable services and free Wi-Fi, which is available throughout the house. There is also a guest bathroom on this level.

The two main en-suite bedrooms are on the third level. One has a semi-enclosed terrace with tables, chairs and a bar fridge. The other two bedrooms are on the fourth level and share a bathroom; one has a three-quarter bed and two single beds, and the other has a double bed and a three-quarter bed.

The house is walking distance from the shops, restaurants and medieval church in Saint Cyprien.

We sincerely want to thank the owner for the amazing quickness of handling the dryer. It really has helped with our trip. He 's willingness to take care of

the situation immediately is something we have not experienced before. Many thanks.

We want to tell you we have been renting homes all over Europe and the States for the last five years and this home is the absolute best. This home is beautiful and spotlessly clean. Everything is so top notch! We are so happy here. Laurence is taking wonderful care of the home and she is a delight.

You have been there every time we have needed you. We are just so thrilled and we want you all to know how much your efforts have made our visit so wonderful.

Very comfortable beautifully restored house in the centre of St Cyprien.

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed a lovely week in St Cyprien. The house is lovely and very handy for walking to nearby shops and restaurants. It is ideally situated to visit the various attractions of the Dordogne area.

We would thoroughly recommend it and it fitted it's description perfectly.

Delightful home in a great location!

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at La Grande Vue. Laurence welcomed us and made sure that we're had everything we needed. St. Cyprien was a perfect location for us — a short drive from the caves, gardens, and castles.

Superb accommodation

  • 5 of 5

Everything about this property is superb - it is well worth a visit! Besides being conveniently located, it is exquisite enough to make you want to stay indoors for your whole holiday. Every detail is thought of (and beautiful!) and you really couldn't want for anything more. While the pictures looked beautiful before we got there, it was even better in 'real life'. It comfortably suits groups but would be just as lovely for a couple as there is enough space in the house to avoid being on top of each other and yet is warm, cosy and very inviting.

Booking is easy and the owner very helpful and we would highly recommend this property to anyone. It will surpass your expectations and offers so much more than you could ever dream of!

Highly recommended

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time staying in this comfortable, elegant and spotlessly clean home and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing break. The local area has much to offer and St Cyprien is a great location to explore the region.

The house is enormous and has everything you might need and there are enough local shops and supermarkets nearby. We had a slight problem with a faulty microwave which blew a main fuse in the house and couldn't believe it when an electrician turned up within 10 minutes to fix the fuse and a new microwave was delivered within hours!

The only possible downside is the proximity of the house to the abbey and its tuneful bells which chime all through the night - so light sleepers could do well to choose a room on the opposite side of the building.

We will miss sitting on the terrace at dusk to take in the glorious view and watch the swooping swallows!
