Villa Dimitris is located in Kalyves, Crete. This detached vacation

floor, there are two double bedrooms that open onto the roof terrace,

The property was excellent for me, my fiancé and our 1 year old. The villa had everything we needed and it’s in an amazing location to go out and explore. There was AC in every room and the pool was amazing and cleaned several times throughout the week.

Thank you so much for a great vacation. The well-maintained pool and relaxing sunbathing sessions were a hit. All in all an excellent villa which I can highly recommend. We will come back.

Lovely villa, fantastic pool and garden area. Bit of a walk to Kalyves but downhill. Easy to get a taxi back up! Cleaner was great. Company very responsive via email. Would have liked some information about things in the villa and where to go to shop and eat, taxi services to use, things to do around the area etc. It would have been nice to have been left basics like bottled water, coffee, bread when we first arrived.

Great place

Great location, the villa was ok, very basic. I would improve the cleaning in the kitchen and add more supplies. We were 6 people and needed more pans and pots. The pool, the backyard and the front yard are amazing! I would recommend it and definitely come back!

The villa is very nice and well equipped. They are tree terraces ( abck , front and "roof top") . Pool area is nice and quite. It is not far away from Kalyves ( 5min by car) . There you can find many beaches, restaurants and shops. we spent two weeks at the villa. Visiting the area ( Chania, lake Kournas, Elafonissi beach, etc..)

Dream location

It is the perfect villa for this price in a beautiful location. The garden and pool are superb, the furniture could be more from this century but then the price would be double I guess. Kalyves is a perfect choice for those who don't like the big cities's vibe. One thing though, the villa is not within walking distance from the beach as written - or prepare for a long hike up to the hill.

Communication from time of booking and clear directions to the villa helped get our holiday off to a really good start. Villa Dimitris is set a a peaceful olive grove, a short distance from the town of Kalyves where there is a wide range of shops and restaurants catering for everyones needs. The villa was well equipped, and we especially liked the options of different seating areas which were well furnished for outdoor living at different times of the day. Having been to Crete several times now we didnt feel the need to go out exploring, just put our feet up, relaxed, and made use of the super pool. We would certainly recommend Villa Dimitris and Agni Travel to our friends and family, and hope to return again soon.

Great holiday

This villa is in a great location if you want peace and quiet but easy access to Kalyves. The outside areas are fantastic, particularly the pool which was maintained throughout our stay. We spent most of the time when we were at the villa enjoying the pool and the outside terraces. The views surrounding the villa, particularly from the top balcony are incredible. Inside, the villa was clean if a bit dated. The kitchen would benefit from more utensils but we ate out most of the time so it wasn't an issue. We didn't hire a car and we were able to walk into Kalyves and to Synka supermarket in about 20-30 mins max. It's uphill on the way back so we ordered a taxi back a few times ( 8 euros). A favourite spot was the beach just passed the supermarket which is quieter than in Kalyves itself with a few hotels with beach front restaurants/cafes. I recommend GK Hotel for somewhere to stop and eat. You can use their loungers if you are buying a meal.

Villa vue sur la mer et la montagne, au milieu des oliviers, à 5´ en voiture de la mer

Excellent séjour dans cette villa. Vue incroyable sur les montagnes, un jardin très vert et entretenu, une piscine très agréable… sauf grilles de fond cassées a remplacer) Seul bémol, le manque de vaisselles ( saladiers, tasses, bols, planche à découper …) et d’équipements (lave vaisselle, presse agrumes électriques, ustensiles pour le barbecue)

Cute Place with some issues

Location and view are lovely and very quiet. Here are our observations with the property that might help others prepare: 1) We had intermittent Hot water and water pressure issues during our stay. The property Manager did send people to help but it was intermittent during our entire stay. 2) As well as having a pool, they advertise as being close to the beach yet do not provide any beach towels. They only provided our family with one bath towel per person for 3 days at a time. We had to buy beach towels for our stay. The pool is not heated – this is common for Greece but visitors should be aware. 3) There is no laundry dryer. There are clothes lines on the upper balcony weather permitting. Expect at least a few hours to dry clothes this way – again weather permitting. 4) The shower head fell apart during our stay but was quickly repaired. 5) Downstairs front door automatically locks – be careful not to lock yourself out. That pretty much forces you to leave the front door cracked open (lots of bugs) and or use the back door to come and go from the pool. Would we stay there again – probably not.

Denne villa var alt hvad vi havde håbet på og meget mere. Villaen var langt større end billederne viser og arealet udenfor er stort med plads til boldspil og afslapning i solen på de gode liggestole. Poolen er blevet renoveret og den lille nye pool er perfekt til at dase rundt på en luftmadras i. Rengøring af villa og pool mens vi var der var skønt. Vi anbefaler virkelig denne villa hvis man ønsker ro og fred, men stadig tæt på by med restauranter, caféer og supermarkedet

Beautiful peaceful villa

This is a lovely house with amazing views of the White Mountains. It is comfortable and well equipped. The pool was clean and the garden kept well. It is a very short drive to supermarket (tip - you don't have to go into Kalives for shopping - the supermarket is a 5 min drive away! It is not overlooked - a complete rural idyll.

We spent three weeks at Villa Dimitris and cannot recommend it enough. Awesomely manicured grounds, with an architectural design that emphasizes privacy and brightness. The pool is just down from the front veranda, with a new wading pool that is perfect for toddlers and for people who just want to sit and soak. Inside there are three bedrooms and two baths with a spacious terrace ideal for reading and sunbathing. The kitchen is well outfitted and best of all are the owners. Dimitris is family owned and family run, and you can tell by the personal care they put into maintenance. The location is also ideal. It is walkable to the beach and to the grocery (though the walk back uphill can be somewhat taxing). And unlike other properties we have stayed in on Crete, Dimitris is easy to drive to. All roads paved and no frighteningly steep inclines as you find at other locations. Enough parking in the compound for two cars. Also a plug for Agni Travel, through whom we booked. I communicated with them frequently and they always were very responsive. Two thumbs up!

Es war ein toller Urlaub. Lage ist perfekt , sehr schönes Haus.

Es könnten noch einige Küchenutensilien mehr Vorurteile sein . Die Matratzen waren unbequem . Sonst alles super.

We had a lovely stay at Villa Dimitris - we loved the location and the villa itself was clean and comfortable and great for relaxing around the pool or watching the sunrise and sunset from the roof terrace. The cleaning service was excellent and the wifi and air conditioning worked well. We also liked the beach and restaurants at Kalyves nearby. We would happily stay at Villa Dimitris again if we were to return to Crete. Rebecca

A lovely, secluded villa perfect for relaxation and privacy. The village, with plenty of restaura...

A lovely, secluded villa perfect for relaxation and privacy. The village, with plenty of restaurants/tavernas took about 30 minutes to walk but that was fine, not too hilly, and we got a taxi back! I would say that whilst a car is not necessarily essential I would highly recommend it as although the nearest supermarket is only a few minutes by car, it would be a long walk with wine and water.
