'The Cottage' at Hope Haven Retreat, offers space for peace, refreshment and restoration. Set within 3 acres of beautiful grounds, with uninterrupted views, of woodland and openfields, fabulous sunsets, and extensive birdlife and wildlife.

Hope Haven Retreat offers luxury self-catering holiday lets with a God given vision to provide stillness and rest for those who are in need of a hide-away and escape from the day to day. The Cottage is perfect for individuals, friends and family.

Whatever the season, whatever the weather, this beautiful area offers peace and quiet and an opportunity to relax, be still and recharge the batteries!

The Cottage is close to many nature reserves, ancient woodlands and river walks spread across the East Trent area. It is a short journey to Newark Showground and Lincoln Showground, which have various events going on weekly.

Hope Haven, is a Christian run retreat, and has resources to reflect this in our holiday lets. We hope you feel at home and find peace here, whatever your reason for staying.

Hope Haven is located 9 miles from Lincoln City centre and 8 miles from Newark. Trains run from Collingham to and from both places every half hour to an hour. Collingham, only 3 miles from the retreat, provides a Co-op with cafe, butcher, post office, medical centre, chemist, various take aways and pubs/restaurants. Everything you need is nearby. There are lovely walks in the area close to Hope Haven and we can point you in the right direction!

Beautiful little flat and really wonderfully maintained. We were greeted by our host who was so wonderful and understanding. The place was everything we wanted and more and was such a relaxing place to stay.

The perfect property, clean cosy and very comfortable. Clare and Peter couldn’t have been more hospitable. Would highly recommend to friends and family and hope to return sometime soon. Thank you both for a lovely stay.

Wonderful weekend retreat!

Our stay at Hope Haven was simply wonderful. The accomodation was of the highest quality, so many personal touches and with everything you might need thought of and provided! The grounds were stunning and made for a wonderfully peaceful and refreshing break. Hosts were so welcoming and we cannot wait to visit again. Highly recommended.

A True Haven

I stayed at Hope Haven for a couple of weeks while working and it was the perfect retreat after work with peace quiet and nature around. The vision that the owners Clare and Peter have for the place is amazing and to see it manifesting is inspiring. They are two of the kindest and friendliest people I’ve met and were helpful and accommodating. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

Peaceful stay in the countryside

Very warm welcome from hosts Claire and Peter. Accommodation cosy and clean with lovely slice of cake on arrival! Everything you could need was provided, including a fan which was very welcome in the warm weather. Peaceful surroundings made for a very relaxing break. Would be happy to recommend and visit again.

A real Haven

Amazingly peaceful setting with Mother Nature all around. Ideal for reflection and relaxation. Well equipped property with great shower, comfortable beds and good kitchen facilities. Excellent location for exploring Lincolnshire, the city and other points of interest. Helpful hosts and adequate information for the client staying in the property. We shall be back again.

It feels like Heaven

It was so beautiful and perfect. Every detail was so thought out and looked so good. We enjoyed every single moment there and we didn’t feel the need to go sightseeing as it was so cozy and relaxing. You could hear the birds singing in the morning and the rooster crowing. Claire and Peter are beautiful people with golden hearts. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Komfortabel und ruhig

Ein sehr schönes und komfortabel eingerichteter Bungalow in wunderbar ruhiger Umgebung. Küche sehr gut ausgestattet, Bett äußerst komfortabel, bequeme Draußen- Sitzplätze. Die Landschaft ist eben und nicht so spektakulär, aber die Unterkunft trotzdem wegen der ruhigen und ländlichen Umgebung ein sehr anheimelnder, friedlicher Ort.

5 star in every way

Hope Haven is a beautiful location, everything is beautifully presented and Clare is just lovely. The accommodation is superb, nothing was overlooked, everything you could possibly need is there. Wonderful. We have recharged our batteries surrounded by the peace and serenity of this wonderful place. I would recommend it without hesitation, and would love to visit again. Immaculate, all one could ask for

So clean, every little detail thought of in every area of the property. Location ideal for sight-seeing or like us needing peace and recuperation. Beds very comfortable and sitting in lounge area. Outside eating, relaxation area and even a BBQ available. Wonderful place ,over 5*

Delightful and therapeutic.

I fell in love with the place and it’s beautiful surroundings as soon as I arrived, so did my friend. I couldn’t fault the place, it was so cosy and clean and it had a lovely feel to it. It has a real sense of serenity about it. The Hosts were amazing too, really nice people and they made sure everything was perfect, they were warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. I will be back again and I will definitely recommend it to others too. It would be great to stay sometime in the winter too. The village overall is also beautiful and worth exploring.

Lovely location in a tranquil setting.

Without doubt one of the best places we have ever stayed if not the best. Met by the lovely hosts on arrival and showed around the spotlessly clean bungalow which has everything you need for your stay. Local village a few minutes drive away with shops and pubs but it is so peaceful it was difficult to tear yourself away.

My family and I have been running holiday lets for many years. Our family first purchased holiday lets in Widemouth Bay, back in the 1950's. I have since taken over the day to day running of not just Little Willows, but also Hope Haven Retreat in 2020. They are all haven's for us and our wider family, and we do hope they are for you too. We hope you will feel instantly relaxed when you arrive knowing that we have thought of everything (hopefully!) to make your stay a very comfortable one! :)

The peace and quiet. We are away from it all, but 4 miles away from shops if needed. We are 8 miles from central Newark and Lincoln. Both wonderful places to visit. We are near many stunning nature reserves, ancient woodlands and the river Trent. The wildlife is vast and we welcome many different birds and animals.
