About this property

Stunning Gite, with private swimming pool and 2.75 acre fishing lake

Les Deux Lacs is situated in a small hamlet of Menesplier, about 5 minutes away from the nearest village Abjat sur Bandiat.

Our Gite is fully furnished, with 1 double room, 1 twin room, bathroom with shower and an open plan lounge/kitchen. There is a sofa bed that can sleep another 2 guest if required.

We have a private pool, playground, tyre swings and exclusive 2.75 acre fishing lake to enjoy. There is also a large decking area, with an outside dining table and chairs, so sit back and enjoy those late summer evenings looking over the lake.

Les Deux Lacs sits in a triangle between the culturally important cities of Limoges, Perigueux and Angouleme in the North Eastern Dordogne. Les Deux Lacs is situated in the Périgord-Limousin Regional Nature Park, aiming to protect and enhance the natural, cultural and architectural heritage of the region. The great diversity of its landscapes makes it a remarkable place of rivers, limestone plateaus, forests, cliffs, Chateau’s, natural lakes and ponds. There are some beautiful swimming lakes and sporting activities to find nearby, St Saud lake and St Estephe, to only name a few. You could spend many hours swimming, walking, cycling and taking in the stunning country side views.

Les Deux Lacs is a self-catering holiday rental, to ensure you can get your holiday started as soon as you arrive, we offer a number of additional services to make your time with us as relaxing and as enjoyable as possible. We also offer guests the option to take the burden out of their holiday by letting us prepare you breakfast and/or cook for you in the evening.

Fantastic for a family stay

We throughly enjoyed our stay here. It’s exactly as the photos shows. Andrew and Raisha were very welcoming and helpful, their children were lovely and have been great playmates with ours. The gite is extremely clean and comfortable in a tranquil setting with two lakes. We had good night sleep every night. The children had great fun here too and didn’t want to leave.

Exceeded our expectations in every way.

Simply put, this is an amazing property. Everything we could have wished for and more. The hosts were always available if we had any issues (which we didn't). This was just an ideal place to stay with three young-ish children. No stress, no worries. We all enjoyed our stay here.

Les Deux lacs... Petit coin de paradis

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié l'environnement paisible des Deux Lacs. Le logement est très confortable et décoré avec goût.Les enfants ont adoré les balançoires dans les arbres. Andrew Raisha, Alba et Jax sont très accueillants et remplis de petites attentions. Nos enfants et nous mêmes avons partagé de bons moments avec eux que nous n'oublierons pas.

We are Andrew, Raisha, Alba & Jax and we bought our property in late 2019. After having had busy lives in the UK, we wanted a quieter and more child friendly life and the possibility to spend more time with our children!

Rural France, specifically North Dordogne, is able to give us just that, there is lots of space, green, bigger house and the opportunity to start our own business, something we have always dreamed of and we have now been able to materialize that with renovating and opening our gite Les Deux Lacs!

Our first holiday rental season started in July 2021 and we have been fully booked throughout the Summer, which is absolutely amazing, a dream coming true!

We fell in love with our house, the view from the house, the greenery around the property, the 2 lakes and the possibility to renovate a double garage into a holiday home!

What makes this property unique

It's extremely peaceful being at Les Deux Lacs, you can de-stress and unwind after a busy day working. Taking in the scenery whilst sitting outside on the patio, drinking a nice glass of wine and listening to the birdsong around us. Just what we wanted...
