Summary:

Located in the popular seaside town of Whitby, The Nest is a bright and welcoming two bedroom apartment with plenty of charm. Featuring beautiful furnishings and impeccable styling throughout, the apartment has a stunning look. You'll also have incredible views of Whitby Abbey in the distance! The perfect escape for couples or families of three, The Nest will provide a comfortable base when exploring North Yorkshire.



The Space:

The Nest has a light and spacious open plan living and dining area. With a light colour palette of white and baby blue, there is a tranquil feel. Nods to the seaside are added throughout the artwork which is a nice touch for paying homage to Whitby. At the end of a busy day, relax on the sofa and turn on the flat screen TV. Start your morning with a homemade breakfast at the dining area.



Ultra stylish, the kitchen has dark cabinets and white brick style tiles. Gold hardware adds a luxe look. Fully equipped, the kitchen has everything you could need to prepare meals easily with modern appliances and cookware.



The apartment has two bedrooms. Head to the master bedroom and you’ll find a comfortable king size bed and a dressing table. The large windows showcase views of Whitby Abbey perched on the East Cliff in the distance. Wall panelling in powder blue completes the look. The second bedroom is cosy and welcoming with a single bed.



Featuring grey, marble style tiles and black hardware, the family bathroom at The Nest is sophisticated and modern. A bath with an overhead shower, WC and vanity unit complete the space.



Guest Access:

Guests have access to the full apartment. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.



Pay & display parking is available nearby and full details will be sent to you before check in.



The Neighborhood:

Set on the West side of Whitby, The Nest is just a short 10-minute walk into the centre of town. Head to Pier Road and you’ll find cosy pubs, fun arcades and plenty of fish restaurants. Continue along the lively road until you reach the beautiful, blue flag West Cliff Beach which is lined with idyllic beach huts. At the other end of Pier Road, you’ll notice the swing bridge which sits over the River Esk.



Over the bridge, you’ll find yourself on the East bank which is full of narrow medieval streets dotted with boutiques, pubs and fish restaurants. Climb the famous 199 steps up to the Church of Saint Mary. You can also discover the renowned ruined Whitby Abbey, which was the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s gothic novel ‘Dracula’.



Step outside of Whitby and you’ll uncover a haven of woodland and moorland. Whitby forms part of the North York Moors National Park so it’s the perfect place for long walks.



Getting Around:

The centre of Whitby is a short ten-minute walk from The Nest.



Whitby train station is less than half a mile away so villages and towns along the North Yorkshire coast can easily be reached via rail. There’s also a taxi rank in close proximity to the train station.



There are plenty of bus routes throughout Whitby. Hop on the X4 and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Sandsend, Runswick Bay and Staithes. The X93 travels along the coast to Scarborough. The 95 route features plenty of quaint villages, such as Grosmont and Lealholm.

Lovely apartment

The apartment was nicely appointed in a quiet location but very close to the local shops and restaurants, with an abbey view. We would definitely stay here again.

While the property itself is clean, comfortable and well furnished the contradictory communications regarding a late check out time was infuriating and farcical. There seemed to be a concreted effort to upsell and too many automated messages that contradicted alternative check out arrangements that were paid for. Lessons need to be learned here. The location is fantastic. The flat could do with a welcome pack with instructions on amenities etc.

Excellent base

The property was in a fantastic location, we didn't need to drive once we were in the town which was great. The property itself was fitted out to such a high standard, with care and thought taken with everything from decor to furnishings. There was everything we needed which was great. A real shame that previous guests had left stains on the carpets as you could see the thought that'd gone into putting everything together. Otherwise the property had everything we needed and was comfortable, cosy, welcoming, well equipped and a brilliant base to explore Whitby and the surrounding area.

Good location but grubby apartment

Grubby apartment, hadn’t been cleaned well. Dead plant in a pot in the lounge, a bit of toilet paper on the bathroom floor, stained carpets, filthy baking tray in the drawer. Some of these issues have been reported before but haven’t been sorted. Parking permits no longer given though was told they were by the owner, when we contacted him to ask about parking. A very kind neighbour gave us a permit. Steep narrow stair to the apartment, makes it difficult carrying suitcases and shopping.
