La maison d’Etang

With no less than 3,000 m2 the pond offers living space for various species of carp and even American crayfish! Thus, this place guarantees culinary delights and pure relaxation in the heart of the Dordogne.

Your holiday villa is located on a hill in a small hamlet with about eleven houses, half of which are permanently inhabited. Your holiday home was also used as a residence until recently. This season it will be rented out for the first time so that guests can also get to know the (culinary) highlights of the Périgord Vert.

A small road up leads you to the 6,500 m2 large grounds of your well hidden holiday home. A steel fence guarantees your privacy and gives access to your holiday domain. The holiday home, surrounded by nature, is built in an authentic style with natural materials such as wood, stone and marble. It is a sublime whole, everything is just right: the very high ceilings, ancient wooden beams, playful differences in levels, lots of light and a view through to the pond are characteristic of the atmosphere of the house and connect the inside with the outside. The reception/lounge area is a lovely central space where everyone can find a place to relax or play. A few wooden steps lead to the level of the living room with a wood-burning stove and a spacious kitchen. The modern kitchen is also fully equipped.

Adjacent to the living room, the sun-drenched terrace - as well as the elevated outdoor lounge area - offers a view of the garden and the romantic pond. Enjoy a delicious meal or a refreshing drink in each other's company while you can watch the children play in the brand new heated swimming pool. And don't forget to make plans for the next day: the area offers plenty of opportunities for wonderful trips with the whole family. You can visit various castles and caves, discover charming medieval towns and enjoy the delicacies of the Périgord at various markets.
