Great place tucked way high up in the hills near the whooshing windmills and wild winds.

Great place to stay for any reason but perfect for us an overnight near the airport (we don't prefer the big chain hotels). For the adventurous and those seeking unusual and interesting places. Open two-floor rustic architecture adorned with gorgeous hand painted tiles, paintings and sculptures. Stunning view of the city, especially at night.

Won’t Stay Again

The view from this property is amazing. Unfortunately that’s the only amazing thing about this property. The property had a musty smell. There were spiders and cobwebs throughout the property. The sheets had insects on them and the overall cleanliness was not worth the price I paid for 1 night. I would have turned around and got a hotel, but we were exhausted from traveling all day, our luggage not arriving and dealing with unpleasant rental car company. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this listing. If you do decide to stay bring all your camping gear, you may want to sleep outside.

Hi Donald, the house is up at the mountains, the house was clean, but its inmerse in the nature. Little bugs sometimes are impossible to eliminate. If you want a 5 stars hotel in the city this is def not your option! yet a wooden house in top of the mountains near to the city and airport.

They forgot to put our Keys in the lock box so we could not get in. The water did not work so we could not take showers. Sebastian blocked my number after he agreed to give us a refund. Still haven’t heard anything from him.

The house had no running water upon arrival, and apparently the owners know about the problem. They said “the roots get in the water” also local neighbors said it happens often. This is also concerning about the quality of water. Also, property is not located as map indicated. would most likely need 4x4 if it rained. Our minivan motor was starting to over heat on the climb and breaks smoking on the decent. Mouse poop was on the beds upon arrival. Half electricity did not work. I Was offered to have the water fixed 6 hours later after we already checked in elseware. Owner is not available on vrbo and her son helps on whatsapp but again they did not respond until many hours later and promised a refund but never followed through. And Upstairs deck featured in fotos is off limits due to unsafely. And the living room sofas really really need to be replaced.

The place is up in the hills, thats why some part of the road is steep, there is running water. But due the heavy rain Costa Rica has, sometimes the pipes get stuck. The problem was fixed immediately. The house was clean. Sorry for your disappointment. If you are looking for a 5 stars hotel, this is not the option, this is a rustic, artistic house up in the hills very close to the city.

Rustic, eclectic, unique, artistic, are the words I would use for this cabin on a large hill.
