Great place to get away from it all.
This unit is located near the Wood Creek Boat dock. (Wood Creek Lake is a small lake in Laurel County, KY; there is no high speed boating, skiing, tubing or jet skiing)
It is at the end of Boulder Drive so there is almost no traffic.
The driveway is right behind the unit and is level with the road. Cliff walls and boulders surround much of the property for unsurpassed natural beauty.
You have lake views from the front of the unit with steps going down to the lake to the private boat dock.
Relax on the porch that faces the lake and watch the fishermen go by. There is a table and chairs out there as well where one can enjoy a cup of coffee or a nice lunch or dinner.
There are plenty of pots and pans in the kitchen so that you can prepare your meals but if you want to travel to London it is only a short drive away. There are also kayaks available for your use.
Come spend a weekend, a week or a month in this secluded lake front paradise.

About Philip Gilkison
I sell real estate in Laurel County Kentucky and live only about 15 minutes from this lake home. I worked as a nursing home administrator for 27 years. I loved working with the elderly and miss it but it was time for a change. Part of my real estate business is renting this unit and two condos in Cocoa Beach, Florida. They can also be found on VRBO. Philip Gilkison purchased this Mobile Home in 2017
Why Philip Gilkison chose London
The great little home overlooks beautiful Wood Creek Lake. It is at the end of the street so there is very little traffic. It is near our home so that we can enjoy it any time that our guests are not.

Very comfortable and neat and clean
Such a beautiful, peaceful place. The lake and mountain views are truly incredible. Really enjoyed getting to kayak. GREAT place and GREAT experience.
The weather was strangely cold and drizzly for early September, but the good news about that was that our little group was forced to do pretty much nothing – and I can't imagine a better place to do that!
The birds singing and big fish jumping in the lake made for great sound effects, and the covered porch and cozy interior of the home helped create wonderful hours or relaxation and peaceful moments.
The proximity to amenities in London was nice, and the drive on the narrow, curvy lane to the house was captivating.
Be advised the wi-fi is fair at best, and the satellite TV service might not work at all (it didn't for us, but that might have been due to the cloud cover), but there is a DVD player and we enjoyed using it at night. And the long and steep stairway to the lake isn't manageable for physically challenged people (we had two who decided to pass on it), but for those who can handle it, it's AWESOME at the dock on the bottom. If you wet a fishing line, you'll surely catch sunfish if nothing else.
Overall, though, if you just want to hang out in the forest in eastern Kentucky – and maybe fish and rent a boat if the weather's right – you won't be disappointed. And make sure to see Cumberland Falls!
had a very good time
My family and I liked it a lot. Property matches the description. The owner Philip is nice and flexible. Very beautiful and quiet piece of nature around. There are nature trails in the area really close to the location. We also visited the Caves which are about 2 hrs from there. Special thanks to the owners for kayaks that are not mentioned in the description.
Hopefully we will rent it again someday.
Glad you enjoyed your stay, I was down there today and just enjoy the piece a quiet, the leaves are starting to thin and the view of the lake is even better. Please do come back.
Private, beautiful location
This is a little chunk of heaven on earth. My husband and I enjoyed every second. There are a lot of stairs but we hike A LOT so it wasn't anything we couldn't handle. We spent lots of time kayaking and enjoying the water. Can't wait to return
We feel the same way and couldn't have said it better, all I can add is thank you for staying with us and we look forward to your return.
The house, location and description were exactly as depicted. We really enjoyed our stay. It was perfectly restful and quiet. I particularly enjoyed getting up in the morning, sitting out on the porch, watching the sun come up over the hills and listening to the many varieties of birds calling and singing.
Thank you for your kind response, we are so glad that you enjoyed your stay. This is a very peaceful location but you can have fun on the water as well. Also, thank you for being such great guests. My wife and I were in the unit after you left and when we first went in my wife thought that no had been there, you left it almost as you had found it, we hope that you return again soon.
Extremely relaxing and peaceful. The steep stairs weren't fun going up, but my legs got a work out.
We enjoyed every minute there. Philip, the owner, was very easy to get a hold of and helpful. Thank you!
Peaceful is a perfect word to describe our lake home. Like another guest said, you don't want to forget anything when you go down to the dock because there are some steps but then there is a bench on the way up so you can stop and enjoy the scenery. Glad you enjoyed your trip and do come back.
