Luxury Penthouse Apartment with large patio and rooftop terrace

Second floor 2 bedroom rooftop apartment. Large outside patio with table, chairs and sunloungers for relaxing in the sun. Lounge with L-shaped sofa, TV and dining table with 6 chairs leading into an open plan kitchen with a small balcony overlooking the gardens and swimming pool.
(please note there are no sun loungers by the pools but chairs are available to rent for €1)
Guests must provide their own beach towels.

Short walk to the boardwalk where you will find all the local bars, restaurants and of course the taxi boat to take the short trip across to the beach.

Welcome packs can be provided but must be requested in advance and paid for on arrival.
There will be a small fee added for this service.

Pool was very cold. Gate was out of action so had to walk to gate further away. Unable to use security safe box. Residents in block noisy very early in mornings and late evening. Otherwise nice outside space with ample seating.

Lovely stay in Cabanas, outside spaces were great. Really well equipped apartment and great to have some store cupboard basics, which we replenished. Paul met us at the apartment and was great, really helpful and contact was excellent during our stay. Only negatives were the wording luxurious apartment, it’s not luxurious. The shower head needs replacing , the bedding is not great quality and fitted sheets don’t quite fit so came off during sleep. But I would recommend and not let that stop us possibly returning. Thankyou.

Great family stay

The property was ideal for our family stay with two children, aged 11 and 14. The apartment had everything we needed and great outdoor space.

Perfect

The apartment is lovely and the outside areas are great. Everything you could possibly need is in the apartment. Close to the boardwalk and the train station. Couldnt fault it. Nice outdoor furniture plus 2 parasols.

Wonderful Stay

This penthouse flat is exactly as described. The communication with the hosts was very effective, although we did not need to get in touch during our stay since we had everything we needed and Bev came to show us how everything worked and there were written instructions for things like the Wi-fi or the TV channels.The inside and outside space of this apartment is amazing, bedrooms with storage, two spacious terraces, perfect for sun bathing and star gazing.The kitchen has everything for a family, for cooking or preparing meals, even had basics like dish washing liquid, bin bags, etc.It's like a home. It has plenty of books and board games.Everything was perfect. We already knew the area, it's only a short walk from our favorite restaurants, supermarket, pharmacy and the beautiful beaches of Cabanas. Tavira shopping centre isn't far, and Ubers are always available at 5/6 euros.All in all, very happy with everything and will not hesitate to go back!

Great apartment, 5m walking from the beach, wonderful stay

The apartment is great, very well equipped and decorated. The terraces are great and invite for extended meals overlooking the pool. The pool was also good, and not too crowded. The boats to the beach were 5m walk away. Overall, we loved it and we intend to return next year.

Beautiful penthouse apartment

We love Cabanas and this apartment is another reason to keep going back there. There was everything you would need in this apartment and our family really enjoyed our stay. The two bedrooms have 2 single beds in each and have lots of room for storing luggage and clothes. The living space is spacious and the outside space is the cherry on top of the cake. You can see down to the shared pool from the first terrace and there is also a rooftop terrace with beautiful views over cabanas and to the sea. We are looking forward to staying again. Thank you

Great apartment

Spent a week here in October and it was bliss! As we expected, we spent quite a bit of time relaxing on the terraces instead of going to the beach. We couldn't quite work or the layout from the photos, so here goes: You walk into the living/diner when you enter the flat, with the kitchen behind the seating area. The two bedrooms are located to the front of the property, with the bathroom between bedroom and kitchen. There is a large terrace off the dining area and steps from there up onto the generous roof terrace over the kitchen & living area. Finally, there is a small balcony (with table for two) just off the kitchen. All the outdoor areas look over the pool (which is a decent size, has full width steps at one end and is 0.8-1.6m deep) There's everything you would need in the kitchen (and more); it feels like you're in someone's home. Towels were thick and I found the beds comfy although my partner thought they were hard. The weak points? Only minor niggles - bathroom didn't smell too fresh on arrival, but we soon aired it out. There is no mechanical ventilation (just a chimney) , so open all the doors. - some of the shutters didn't work, so the neighbours might get an eyeful! - there were only 1.5 loo rolls. Luckily we had taken spares with us. - as with most properties you need to provide your own basics (oil, salt, pepper etc) - single beds, but you can push them together.

The welcome could be better

The apartment itself has most things you would need although there were a few flaws. We have been coming to Tavira for 9 years unfortunately this is the first time the welcome to an accommodation has been lacking. Before we arrived the manager emailed to say it was her husbands birthday on the day we were due to arrive and so they wanted to go out for dinner- we felt like an inconvenience! We were met by the manager’s friend who struggled to get the door open. Additionally after arriving late at night with young children it was disappointing to see there was no bottled water in the apartment. I know the listing doesn’t mention a welcome pack but neither has other places we have stayed in Tavira and we have never arrived to have no water left! Just something to keep in mind if you are travelling with children, make sure you have some water with you. My husband had to head out at midnight to find some water. The pool has no sun beds, there are only 5 chairs which can be hired for 1 euro per day. You could put towels on the grass but they did get very dirty doing this. We were glad to move on to our next accommodation in Tavira and we were greeted with 3 bottles of water, beers, a bottle of wine, fizzy pop, milk and crisps at that villa. Perhaps we have just been spoilt at other accommodations in the 9 years we have been visiting! We had a good time and it was fine for a few nights although the emails before we arrived and the welcome did tarnish the experience for us.

Het appartement was prima. Wel vonden wij dat er te veel items in het appartement stuk waren of niet goed werkten. Dit kon de beheerder wel gedeeltelijk oplossen. Het contact met de beheerder was goed.

Amazing outdoor space

Paul and Bev were excellent hosts dealing with any issues we had immediately. The penthouse apartment was well appointed and had recently had a new fridge/freezer and washing machine installed. The new sofas on the downstairs patio with a dining table were wonderful and a great place to sit and relax. Plus there were 4 really comfy sunbeds and a small bistro table and 2 chairs. Not quite 5* as there were a few bits that would really enhance Casa Kate. 1. A BBQ ( although Paul kindly lent us their portable one and I understand it is something the owner is now considering providing) 2. A vegetable peeler & a cheese grater ( both mentioned to our host) 3. An information file for such things as how to get Sky News ( took us a while to figure this out), when linen/ towel changes occur, what to do with the keys when you vacate etc. The apartment is in a great location and within 5 minutes of 2 supermarkets and there's an excellent local bar/bistro literally on the doorstep with many others just a short stroll away.

Des choses à revoir !

Propreté dans la cuisine avec bouteille d’eau entamée et des restes des locations précédentes, canapé cassé, matelas confort moyen et 2 fois 2 petits lits 70/200 ,difficulté à fermer les stores, pas de sac poubelle dans la poubelle, carte de piscine ne fonctionne pas obligé de trouver le gardien, pas de salon de jardin pour se détendre malgré de belles terrasses. Ampoule de la lampe à l’entrée Hs. Bcp de choses à revoir ! Le bien être des hôtes doit être une priorité. Informations portées afin de revoir et poursuivre sereinement votre location
