The Space:
This spacious, dog-friendly cottage accommodates up to 10 guests comfortably, making it the perfect haven for friends and family looking to escape to the countryside.

With panoramic views of the Downs, it's an ideal base for outdoor enthusiasts, offering walking and cycling opportunities right from the doorstep. The cottage is close to the cathedral city of Chichester, Goodwood Estate, Upwaltham Barns wedding venue, and the sandy shores of West Wittering beach.

★ KITCHEN - LIVING - DINING ★

This beautiful family home features a spacious open-plan kitchen, dining and living area with bi-fold doors that provide breathtaking views of the South Downs.

The kitchen is fully equipped with modern amenities, so cooking for the whole family won’t feel like a chore.

★ BEDROOMS & BATHROOMS ★

There are four comfortable bedrooms in the main cottage, as well as an annexe with king bed and sofa bed for additional guests.

✔ Ground floor master

The master bedroom offers a luxurious king-size bed and boasts full-length windows with breathtaking eastern views of the South Downs. It includes a convenient ensuite shower room.

✔ Downstairs double and bunk

There are two more comfortable bedrooms on the ground floor. One features a double bed, and the other offers bunk beds, perfect for siblings or friends. These two rooms share a spacious family bathroom equipped with a shower over the bathtub.

✔ Attic bedroom

Ascend to the attic bedroom, which features a king-size bed for a restful night's sleep. This room also includes its ensuite shower room, providing added privacy and comfort.

✔ Annexe

The self-contained annexe features a welcoming king-size bed and double sofa bed for flexible sleeping arrangements. It also has an ensuite shower room for ease.

Additionally, a tea-making area is thoughtfully included, making it easy to enjoy a warm drink without having to venture into the main house.

Step out into the beautiful garden, with large lawn and mature shrubs, for a serene environment for relaxation and recreation.

The Neighborhood:
The pretty village of Eartham lies some 7 miles to the east of Chichester. The cathedral city of Chichester provides a comprehensive range of shopping facilities, cafes and restaurants located in its partly pedestrianised centre.

Eartham is surrounded by the rich and varied countryside of the South Downs National Park and has a lovely village pub, The George. Locally, further shops are available to the south at Barnham which also has a mainline station, as does Arundel to the east, providing a regular service to London Victoria.

Goodwood is only 5 miles away providing a whole range of facilities including its country club, hotel and newly opened restaurant serving produce from their organic Estate farm. Goodwood is also internationally famous for its horse-racing as well as the annual Festival of Speed and the September Revival meeting at its historic motor circuit.

Getting Around:
The property is in a beautiful rural location, we therefore advise travelling by car.

Lovely family house in quiet village.

Fabulous house with beautiful garden in a lovely quiet village. Excellent for families. The annexe helped us to spread out a bit. The hosts had generously provided us with all the basics and useful tips for things to do. Garden was great for the dogs with lovely walks nearby. Plenty of parking. Having a pub across the road was a great asset. .Short drive to beautiful beach at Littlehampton. The barbecue was very welcome but we could have done with better equipment for cleaning it.

South Downs National Park Hideaway

This stunning property, listed as a cottage, is far from my vision of a 'cottage'! It is huge and more than enough room for 6 adults and 4 children under 11 years old. Care has been taken in every room with furnishings, paintings, cushions, blinds and all the many bathrooms are modern and spacious The amount of glass floods the lounges with light and show off the wonderful outdoor space, sadly weather and time did not allow us to really use this space but loved the enormous outdoor table and would love to return and utilise all that the garden has to offer. The annex allowed Grandparents to have a quiet area if needed! Everyone loved it and did not want to leave; the girls took such a liking to the sheep doorstops that I believe they will be having some in their homes very soon! Doorstops have never been so caressed! We only have a couple of suggestions: the animal skins on the floor of main lounge we thought were not in keeping with the rest of the immaculate house. A small request would be to have a shelf in the shower of the annex for shower gel; an elderly relative found it difficult without one. The area is stunning and restaurant just across the road, however, do check when they open as in our experience the days changed. Overall, we were all enchanted with Parlour Cottage, a wonderful choice!
