Family Holiday

Excellent property for a large family group to spend a week together. Accommodation worked well for a large group, and location on the edge of Grasmere is exceptional.

80th birthday celebration

This house was amazing, kept immaculately and everything in it which one might need for the weeks stay. Books full of detailed instructions and advice for any appliances etc in the house. Thank you for such a wonderful stay.

Large house perfect for big groups

The house and garden are amazing and in a perfect location. Spectacular views of the rolling hillside and only a 5 minute walk into the centre of Grasmere. The house is really well equipped. Large garden is beautiful and even has a stream running through it. Easy access to all the Lakes, incredible walks nearby and some really good restaurants. What more could you want.

This house is in a stunning location. On the edge of Grasmere with it's plentiful cafes and famous ginger shop! The garden is great, BBQ and firepit are provided and there's lots of seating etc... The house has plenty of space. Unfortunately, the upstairs leaves a lot to be desired! Lots of mold and cobwebs everywhere, we were really disappointed given the amount of money we had paid. The smaller room was by far the worst, tiles off in the shower, mold on the carpet (just really shabby) I would never have booked to stay here if I had known the state of it. It's a shame because it could be a stunning house.

Fantastic house, great location

Great week in Grasmere with ten of us comfortably accommodated in this house. A few minutes walk from the centre of Grasmere with its cafes, pubs and restaurants and on the doorstep of some stunning Lakes hikes and bike rides. Highly recommend bbq and drinks in the beautiful gardens as the sun goes down. Fabulous Lake District experience.

2 Years ago we purchased next door Riversdale, 4 bed 4 en-suite, again completley refurbiushed, holiday let, incredilble reviews from guests

Rothay Lodge & Apartment surprisingly came on the market this year. Lovely owners since 2004, was next door to our other properties, those had, are going so well it made sense to purchase Rothay Lodge.

For even larger parties, all properties offer 15 bedrooms, up to 30 guests occupanacy. Rothays award winning gardens offer great space, terrace and lawned to enjoy the stunning mountain views and entertain, e.g. family anniversaries, birthdays etc.
Being so close to the fells, park the car up (free private parking) for the week and walk from the front door to the fells, inclusive Helvelyn, or catch the bus just 100 yards away
