The Space:

This old-style Berlin penthouse has a fully equipped kitchen for you to use with plenty of space to sit and relax, have a drink and watch TV. When the weather's good (or even when it's not) you can enjoy the huge balcony to sit outside, eat, drink and chat. You'll have a huge bedroom with one 180cm double, one sofa bed 140cm plus single bed and your own private bathroom.

Not for the faint hearted

The property description failed to mention that the apartment is on the 7th floor, with 108 steps, of a building without a lift. As we were 80 years old and 60 years old, we would not have rented this apartment given that we were traveling for many weeks, with heavy bags. Getting them up the 108 steps was a nightmare. The check-in process was shambolic, requiring multiple calls to get in the front gate. Finding the correct entrance to the building was also a fail. We were told the first door on the left - which was locked and presumably went to the cellar. It's actually the second door on the left. Were it not for a resident of the building to guide us, we would have been stuck for another 30 minutes outside the gate. The beautiful terrace, featured in the photo, had a table with a half-empty bottle of beer and full ash tray of cigarette butts. While the kitchen was nice, there wasn't a dish towel with which to dry dishes. The secondary problems are overtaken by the first: not letting potential guests know that this property is on the 7th floor (108 steps) without a lift.

Katastrophales Check-In

Die Wohnung war ok, klein, eng, 108 Stufen zu steigen. Bad sehr gut und alles sauber. Dachterrasse gibt es, aber die Kochgelegenheit lädt nicht zum eigenen Kochen ein. Unglaublich, dass man das als "vollständige Küche" präsentieren darf. Das Check-In war wirklich unter aller Kritik. Der Schlüssel war NICHT in der Schlüsselbox, was bei unserer späten Ankunft wirklich ein Problem war. Die Informationen, die im Voraus geschickt werden sind nicht vollständig, aber es gab eine Kontakttelefonnummer, wo wirklich immer jemand dran ging. Das war natürlich gut, aber die Personen, mit denen man sprach waren z.T. unengagiert oder inkompetent. Die Personen, die wir mitten in der Nacht erreichten waren nett, aber sie befanden sich in München während wir in Berlin auf der Strasse standen. Wir kamen schliesslich doch in die Wohnung und am nächsten Tag tauchten sogar mehrere Schlüssel auf, aber von einer Entschädigung war nie die Rede. Die im Voraus zu leistende Kaution wurde aufgrund eines Fehlers von Seiten der Agentur sogar zweimal verbucht. Wir bekamen sie zurück, aber es war schon ärgerlich und war noch ein Minus in der Bewertung. Ich werde NIE WIEDER mit FeWo-direkt buchen.
