Excellent!

Very beautiful house! Super clean, amazing view and everything you could wish for on kitchen and grill equipment. You have to walk for like 1min and park your car on the street, but you get a great house with amazing view at a private place with no one else close by. Paulo is also a very gentle and helpful guy. 100% recommended :)

Wow! wow! WOW!

The property is even better than the pictures with so much space and spotlessly clean. Comfortable beds and each room has a beautiful view. It is well equipped with everything you need and more. The outside shower and toilet were a bonus. The position of the property allows sun all day right through till sunset and with the most breath taking view. The pool was the perfect temperature and spotless - we swam every day and sometimes in the evening with the light on... glorious! If you like to cook you have everything you need and more including the outdoor BBQ, for which there is more than enough wood. Duarte is the friendliest host we have ever met and is on hand for anything you need.. especially Bananas! He helped with our bags, made sure we had everything we needed as we arrived late at night, communication was 100%. We were so sad to leave such a beautiful spot in Madeira, it truly felt like home for us. Thankyou Duarte and your beautiful family. X

Fantastic views

The property is very well equipped & the outside bbq was great. Made use of the washer, so took far less clothes. It is quite a steep walk to the property from the road where there is a local bar, so just bought enough shopping to be able to carry down in one go. We didn't hire a car, opted for the local taxis to take us on half day trips around the west & east of the island, plus they were very knowledgeable. Spent a full day in Funchal (check bank holidays as museums, cathedral & market were closed) Cable car, tropical gardens & toboggan run were impressive. It is a 30 minute walk up to Loreto from the villa, where there is a fantastic pizza restaurant. There are also a few bars & a small local supermarket. The supermarket in Calheta is a lot bigger & cheaper, which takes an hour to walk, all downhill & less than 10 Euros back. Take binoculars as the dolphins swim by the fishing nets, which is where we saw them on a boat trip. You could see the villa & it's prominent position from the boat & it is a good way to see the coastline. Spent an evening in Ribeira Brava, which has nice bars, shops & restaurants. Had a good meal at Muralha & not expensive. The church was beautiful & we went to the Ethnography museum, which is well worth a visit. We did the Rabacal walk to the waterfalls, which was beautiful, but very busy so go early in the morning. You need decent footwear & a torch for the tunnel. Duarte was very helpful & generous with plenty of fruit. Would highly recommend.

Wunderschönes Haus top Lage, dafür muss man aber zu Fuß einige Treppen in kauf nehmen. Morgens zum Auto immer Frühsport.

Merci pour ce merveilleux séjour. Accueil super. Logement très agréable. Et la vue! Quel enchantement. Seul bémol pour les adolescents c'était la température de la piscine! Mais nous les adultes on en a bien profité ! Continuez a être aussi accueillant !

Sehr schöner Aufenthalt

Dieses Haus kann man einfach nur weiterempfehlen!! Der Besitzer hat uns sehr herzlich willkommen geheißen und man hat sich sofort wohl gefühlt. Er war sehr bemüht unseren Aufenthalt perfekt zu gestalten und das ist ihm auch gelungen. Leider hatten wir etwas Pech mit dem Wetter (Ende Mai/Anfang Juni). Aber da kann der Vermieter ja nix dafür. Es war alles da, was man für einen wunderschönen Urlaub benötigt. Sehr schöne Terrasse mit Pool, mit Blick auf das Meer und eine Grillmöglichkeit. Das Haus liegt zwischen Bananenplantagen und einen liebevoll gepflegten Garten. Die Aussicht ist traumhaft. Der Parkplatz liegt nicht direkt am Haus. Man muss einen kleinen Weg zwischen den Wohnhäusern, Gärten und den Bananenplantagen gehen. Dieser Weg gibt Ihnen schon einen Vorgeschmack, wie schön die Insel ist und ist auf jeden Fall jeder Schritt wert :)
