Tebas se encuentra en una zona rural, a unos 50 km del aeropuerto en el municipio de Calheta, en el extremo suroeste de la isla, la zona más caliente y agradable Madeira. La población más cercana es Paul do Mar, donde hay una ruta de conexión de edad que lleva unos 30 minutos a pie oa 5 minutos en coche.

Cerca de la casa hay varios restaurantes, bares y pequeños supermercados. El centro de salud más cercano de la oveja Faja se encuentra a 5 minutos en coche y el Hospital de unos 10 minutos, en Calheta. Es la ciudad más grande de Madeira, pero no el más poblado, que ahora vive principalmente de la agricultura y la gran mayoría de los jóvenes que emigran a Sudáfrica, Venezuela y otros países de América del Sur.

Se encuentra ubicado en una privada y aislada, lejos de todo el ajetreo y el bullicio de las ciudades. Se encuentra en una propiedad de unos 4.000 metros cuadrados, rodeado de árboles frutales, cultivos agrícolas y otros árboles. Los huéspedes pueden disfrutar de los frutos disponibles allí. La propiedad cuenta con total privacidad. La Tebaida de Massapez es un espacio privilegiado de verdor y tranquilidad para disfrutar de unas vacaciones agradables y relajantes y disfrutar del ambiente bucólico de gran belleza natural disponible en esta área. En las áreas de jardines y relajante que puede dar alas a su imaginación


La casa tiene 2 plantas, 2 dormitorios, 2 baños y un salón comedor común con chimenea, cocina, barbacoa y piscina.

En la primera planta se encuentra la cocina que tiene licuadora, tostadora, grill, microondas, horno, nevera y
estufa. El salón tiene una chimenea y baño en la segunda planta hay dos dormitorios con un dormitorio principal con cama de matrimonio y un segundo dormitorio con dos camas dobles grandes. Ambos cuentan con baño privado. Cada habitación tiene un balcón privado con magníficas vistas sobre el Océano Atlántico. Fuera de la casa hay una barbacoa para asar a la parrilla, totalmente equipada, una gran piscina y un garaje.

Instalaciones: La casa dispone de toallas de baño y piscina y 2 cambios de hojas por semana. Disponibilidad de cuna y bañera de bebé y de pie y binoculares. El viernes es el día dedicado al mantenimiento de la casa, piscina, jardines y otros.

La casa se encuentra cerca de varias rutas de senderismo tomadas: distancias locales y larga.

Very relaxing

Lovely property, set in peaceful and lush environment. The views from the property and the sunsets are fantastic.The only ‘downside’ is that there are no restaurants within reasonable walking distance but if you want the peaceful location then this is to be expected.Overall great place

The house is in a rural location and the views of the Atlantic are breathtaking. If you want to relax in peaceful surroundings, this is the place for you! Inside the house, the décor and furniture are traditional but there’s everything you need for a comfortable stay. The air conditioning in the bedrooms was very effective, ensuring we slept well despite the high humidity. Furthermore, the kitchen is very well equipped and there are three bathrooms, each with a shower, which is incredibly convenient if you're staying as a larger group. We also found the house to be very clean throughout. The terrace and pool area are a real bonus. There's plenty of space and we spent a lot of time outside, making the most of the weather. Without a doubt, the terrace and pool area are the perfect place to spend your time.Our host, Emanuel, was communicative and friendly throughout our stay. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for him and he was genuinely interested in our stay at his house. It really was a pleasure to meet him. If you're looking for a comfortable house in a rural Madeiran setting, my friends and I would recommend it without hesitation. For the price, you needn’t look any further!

Car hire is a must anywhere in Madeira as there is so much to explore throughout the island, reason why so many of our guests return as they are unable to pack it all in during their stay. The Villa is situated 35-40 minutes from the city of Funchal when using the new express roads and equally closer than an hour from Porto Moniz. The Villa is situated in the West side of the island, Calheta benefits from the hottest climate in Madeira. We are glad you loved Madeira and we look forward to welcoming you back soon.

Wow!

This is the place to stay if you like fantastic views across the sea with the most superb sunsets.! The villa is situated in the most wonderful spot , very quiet and not overlooked and stands in immense gardens. The swimming pool is great for a cool off. The villa has everything you need and communication with Emanuel is excellent. A car is a necessity though to reach the supermarkets and restaurants. I would thoroughly recommend if you are looking for somewhere away from the madding crowds and love being outside. We will be returning for sure.

My husband and I stayed at this lovely villa to celebrate our anniversary. The villa is a gem of a home. The views out over the sea are splendid. We spent a lot of time outdoors on the terrace and cooking in the brilliant outdoor kitchen (which we loved). We also swam in the pool every day and the loungers are a great place to relax. The gardens are wonderful with mature trees and shrubs. The setting is very peaceful and we loved coming back to the serenity of the villa. We spent more time there than we thought that we would just because it is so nice. The villa itself is spacious, clean and well equipped with great views from every room. The beds are very comfortable and the en-suite showers are powerful and hot. Emanuel is a very kind and helpful host. We arrived very late in the night and Emanuel had left us some lovely gifts for our anniversary. We met him later in the week and he is very friendly and a lovely man. Communication was great. He couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome.Would definitely recommend this villa and we would love to stay again on another visit to Madeira.

Relax, relax, relax!!!

This is my 4th attempt at writing a review on this wonderul villa, we stayed for a week in August/September 2012 it was one of the most relaxing holidays we have had. The house had EVERYTHING you could have needed and the separate BBQ área was amazing, you could have had a party of 20 with all the utilities provided. The views from the villa were breathtaking and the sunsets were total awesome. The only disadvantage were the wasps which bothered our 10 year old daughter more than us. Sr Maria the lady who came to clean and generally looked after the house was extremely helpful. I would recommend this property for families or friends but would say it accommodates 4 comfortably, although they have everything for 6 guests the beds in the second bedroom are small doubles so really only suitable for 2 to 4 children or 2 adults. It is a little intermate for 4 adults to share that room :-) Thank you for a lovely week. Oh yes, the other wonderful advantage was our dog was allowed to come with us! Extra stars for this!

I am very delighted that you thoroughly enjoyed your stay at "Thebaida do Massapez", my Villa and all it's amenities and that you felt very well looked after by Maria our superb housekeeper. I do not understand how the other failed attempts to write review. May be things that happen with the link you are directed to the site. In fact the beds in the second room are not as wide as the first but it give`s comfortable for two people. The view from the Villa is wonderful and the sunset is splendid. The sun sets right in front of the house, which gives a very beautiful and colorful spectacular. Hope to see you back in Madeira and if possible in "the Thebaida Massapez".

Comfortable and well-equipped

We arrived late at night at the villa and were met by the delightful housemaid Maria. She showed us round the property and then departed. The house is spacious and well-equipped. The pool - whilst not large - was adequate and well-maintained by the owner (Emanuel). Emanuel had provided us with basic groceries to start us off since we had arrived so late - these were most welcome. He also met us a couple of times when he came to clean the pool. What could not be helped was that the weather was not as warm as we expected and we had a little more rain than we would have liked. However, that is not something over which Emanuel had any control. Anybody staying here does really need to hire a car. It is a 1-hour journey from the airport, and the major sights are all located towards Funchal. The road from the airport is mostly an expressway - the last few kilometres are on the old main road which is very twisty and in parts very steep (both up and down). For anyone who likes road tunnels, Madeira is the place to go! We really did enjoy our stay at Faja da Ovelha. Thank you Emanuel and Maria.

Beautiful location, very quiet, relaxing, lovely cottage but !!

Firstly the directions Id printed off( just in case no phone signal) were awful.We had to stop at Precipio restaurant which we knew from previous reviews wasn't too far away, they never heard of the road or house (found them to be a bit rude).So we continued our search till we came across it !!We found that if you go into the village and just follow the signs for the miradour (view) you will find the gates to the house. We were met by Maria who showed us all we needed to know.The house was clean and had everything you need. she said there were new mattresses on each of the 3 beds so we hoped to be comfy.It isn't until you live in the house that you begin to find fault with it.The mattresses were so hard the pillows terrible and the seating downstairs was very uncomfortable. The whole place inside needs a coat of white emulsion as there are stains on the walls from damp and squashed mozzies ! There are 3 showers only one has decent showerhead a very cheap replacement from a supermarket would do. Such a shame the sun beds were so scruffy the mattresses were disgusting left out in the rain to hold water which has gone mouldy and smelly!.We didn't use the pool as it was cold. We've given a four star as its a lovely area and house which with a bit of tlc could be 5. We also suggest you stop off in Calheta on the way to pick up supplies as there isn't anything here and i'm afraid the Precipio didn't get a visit from us so cant comment and as reviewers mention you need to be steady on your feet the steep drive and steps up to the house are a challenge. p.s a little bakery van called everyday near the gate around 4pm lovely fresh bread.

Dear Guests Thank you for your review. The criticisms pointed out will be taken into account in order to improve the conditions of the house. However I want to say that the house has excellent conditions for a good stay as it is stressed by more than 95% of the guests in their comments. The coordinates I feel to all the guests are strict. The beds mattresses are new. They were purchased last summer and have the following features: Quality certificate; Anatomical; Orthopedic; Viscoelastic Carbon Fiber; 3D Fabric; Without springs; 100% cotton; Undeformable Base; Ecological; Aloe Vera Treatment; Reinforced Coating; Electro Static; Electrobiological; Anti-allergic; Permanent Ventilation. Pool mattresses and umbrellas are usually stored in the garage kept out of the weather. Guests have the control of the garage door. The house is painted inside every year in April and has been painted on the outside for about a year and a half. I send The coordinates to more easily get the house to all the clients well in advance and are strict. It is important to get them printed.

Le propriétaire de la maison gère les arrivées et les départs. L’accueil est chaleureux.La maison fait face à la mer et le coin est très paisible. Il faut être véhiculé pour y accéder mais pour ceux qui aiment le calme, c’est très agréable.La maison est très propre. Il y a tout le nécessaire pour un séjour sans soucis. Schöner Ort mit Verbesserungspotential

Wir hatten gemischte Eindrücke. Die Lage ist ruhig mit wirklich traumhaften Ausblick – für uns das absolute Highlight.Positiv war der sehr nette Vermieter, der mehrfach vor Ort war, um sich um den Pool zu kümmern und auch regelmäßig die Wasserqualität geprüft hat. Der Kontakt war immer top.Trotzdem war der Zustand des Pools für uns enttäuschend: Die Poolpumpe war defekt, weshalb das Wasser täglich stark verschmutzt war und wir selbst viel Zeit in die Reinigung investieren mussten. Der Vermieter hat mehrfach versucht, selbst zu reparieren, aber das Problem ließ sich während unseres Aufenthalts nicht beheben.Der Poolbereich insgesamt ist deutlich in die Jahre gekommen und der Garten/das Grundstück machen einen ungepflegten Eindruck – teils lag Bauschutt herum. Neue Liegen am Pool wären dringend erforderlich. Sitzmöglichkeiten sind leider nur billige Plastikstühle. Kleine Sonnenschirme und Schirmständer auch teils defekt.Das Ferienhaus selbst war innen alles super in Ordnung, sauber und funktional, allerdings auch nichts Besonderes. Küche war mit allen wichtigen Geräten ausgestattet. Betten für unseren Geschmack etwas klein aber bequem.Die Fotos sind schon sehr alt und spiegeln nicht den Ist-Zustand wieder.Der aktuelle Zustand von Außenbereich und Pool rechtfertigt den Preis momentan nicht. Falls diese Probleme aber in Zukunft behoben werden, ist es sicher ein wunderbarer Ort, der das Potenzial früherer, sehr positiver Bewertungen dann auch wieder verdient.

Es ist uns immer eine Freude, am Ende jedes Aufenthalts zu erfahren, dass unsere Gäste zufrieden sind und eine gutebetreuung erhalte haben wir sind stets bemoht eine excellent qualitat zubieten. Ich bedauere, dass eines der Rohre des Pools verstopft war. Jemand hat es verstopft! Trotzdem war der Pool immer sauber und in einwandfreiem Zustand. Ich selbst war fast jeden Tag im Haus, um die Instandhaltung und Reinigung durchzuführen, damit alles immer in gutem Zustand war. Es wurden auch speziell für diese Situationen geeignete Produkte bereitgestellt. An einigen Tagen war es jedoch windiger, sodass einige Fragmente auf die Oberfläche gelangten, die mit dem Pool-Reinigungswerkzeug, das am Pool bereitstand, entfernt werden mussten. Das haben die Gäste auch getan. Für zukünftige Gäste: Das Haus ist perfekt für einen ausgezeichneten Ruhigen Urlaub. Es ist völlig privat, hat einen umliegenden Garten mit Rasen und kleinen Pflanzen, der immer gut gepflegt ist. Das Haus befindet sich auf einem Grundstück von etwa 4000 Quadratmetern mit vielen Laubbäumen und verschiedenen tropischen Obstsorten. Hier hört man fast nur das Zwitschern der Vögel und die Boote auf dem Meer. Das Haus ist mit allen notwendigen und hochwertigen Haushaltsgeräten ausgestattet, verfügt über Klimaanlagen in allen Zimmern und im Wohnzimmer, einen Kamin, einen Fernseher mit hoher Bildqualität und mehr als 300 Kanälen aus verschiedenen Ländern. Eine sehr schöne Villa, absolut ruhig

Wer die Ruhe sucht, ist hier richtig. Absolut entspannen kann man mit Blick aufs Meer. Natürlich braucht man hier ein Mietauto. In der Unterkunft ist alles vorhanden, es gibt sogar eine Geschirrspülmaschine. Auch ein Kamin ist da. Wir haben den Aufenthalt hier sehr genossen.

Vielen Dank für Ihre großartige Bewertung. Es ist uns immer eine Freude, am Ende eines jeden Aufenthalts zu wissen, dass unsere Gäste das Maß an Genuss, Zufriedenheit und Fürsorge erhalten haben, um das wir uns immer bemühen. Ein Mietwagen ist überall auf Madeira ein Muss, da es auf der ganzen Insel so viel zu entdecken gibt, weshalb so viele unserer Gäste zurückkehren, weil sie während ihres Aufenthalts nicht alles einpacken können. Die Villa liegt 35-40 Minuten von der Stadt Funchal entfernt, wenn Sie die neuen Schnellstraßen benutzen, und ebenso weniger als eine Stunde von Porto Moniz entfernt. Die Villa liegt auf der Westseite der Insel, Calheta profitiert vom heißesten Klima Madeiras. Ich hoffe, Sie in naher Zukunft wieder hier zu sehen

Toller Unterkunft in schöner Lage

Wir haben Anfang Oktober 11 entspannte Tage in Emanuels Haus verbracht. Der Empfang von ihm war auch zu später Stunde sehr nett und es wurde uns sogar eine kleine Auswahl für das erste Frühstück bereit gestellt. Auch die Informationen von Emanuel und aus seiner Info-Mappe waren für uns sehr hilfreich. Das Haus selber war sauber und ordentlich und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Uns hat es an nichts gefehlt (voll ausgestattete Küche, Waschmaschine etc.) und der Platz ist für 2 Personen mehr als ausreichend. Die Lage kurz vor dem Ende der Straße ist sehr ruhig und die Aussicht ist grandios. Für uns waren die Doppelbetten etwas zu schmal, aber für 2 Wochen Urlaub kein Problem. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen und können das Haus nur empfehlen.

Sehr schönes Feriendomizil

Wir verbrachten 2 schöne Wochen in diesem Ferienhaus mit einem wunderschönen Ausblick. Die zweite Woche würde leider durch Bauarbeiten auf Nachbargrundstücken mit viel Lärm getrübt. Das morgendliche Bad im Pool war ein Highlight. Die Insel ist wunderschön und vielseitig . Wie haben alles gesehen und sind 1300 km gefahren. Heerlijk verblijf

Wij hadden een heerlijke week in dit geweldige huis ! De woning had werkelijk alles waar we naar op zoek waren: een prachtig uitzicht, privacy, rust en stilte (wakker worden met het geluid van vogeltjes) , een leuk privé zwembad en alle gewenste faciliteiten in- en outdoors. Het contact met de eigenaar Emanuel verliep super vlot. Heel aangenaam ook om in het midden van de nacht toe te komen (vlucht vertraagd) en te merken dat er een ontbijt voorzien werd voor de volgende ochtend. Ideale uitvalsbasis voor uitstapjes met de huurwagen. Aanraders qua eten/drinken dichtbij huis vonden we : Jardim do Mar (Joe's bar !!) Paul do Mar (Bar de Pedra o Poleiro; Maktub Pub- te reserveren) Het meeste keuze qua boodschappen vind je in Pingo Doce in Calheta. Voor de duikliefhebbers onder ons kunnen we Calheta Diving Center aanraden. Kortom: een aanrader van jewelste dit prachthuis met hele vriendelijke eigenaar !

Bedankt voor een geweldige recensie, het is altijd een genoegen voor ons om aan het einde van elk verblijf te weten dat onze gasten het niveau van plezier, tevredenheid en zorg hebben ontvangen dat we altijd proberen te leveren. Autohuur is overal op Madeira een must, omdat er zoveel te ontdekken valt op het hele eiland, de reden waarom zoveel van onze gasten terugkeren omdat ze niet in staat zijn om alles in te pakken tijdens hun verblijf.
