Centrally located large apartment

This was the perfect department for an extended family of six to relax in Athens. Ample room on the balcony and in the living room for all of us. The bedrooms were all large and comfortable with AC. The apartment was perfectly located in the Plaka so that we were able to walk to all the sights. Lots of good restaurants and shops to buy staples for the kitchen nearby.

Location , Location but lacking communication

The location of this VRBO in Athens is absolutely fantastic—just a short walk to major attractions and with an incredible view of the Acropolis. We felt very safe in the neighborhood and loved the easy access to amazing local restaurants and cafes. The apartment itself was clean and comfortable, offering mostly everything we needed for a pleasant stay. Unfortunately, communication with the owner was extremely poor throughout the entire process. Despite multiple attempts via WhatsApp, phone, and the VRBO app, most of our messages went unanswered. We waited 30 minutes in the alley upon arrival even though we gave advance notice, and the owner never provided the WiFi password despite repeated requests. While the location and view were excellent, the lack of responsiveness was frustrating and detracted from the overall experience.

Fantastic Apartment

The apartment is in a great location, has plenty of space and very well appointed. Air con in all the rooms which was great. Walking distance to lots of restaurants and main attractions. Highly recommend this apartment

Spacious apartment close to Acropolis

Two couples. Great place, we could actually see one of the balconies from on top of the Acropolis. Huge kitchen, spacious rooms. Awesome balconies. Super close to a ton of restaurants and the main attractions. Only one of the bedrooms has an ensuite bathroom and the apartment is located on third (top floor) so you have to carry your luggage up (not a problem for our group but worth mentioning if any mobility issues). I would highly recommend and stay here again.

Amazing location and property!

Family of five (3 adult children) had plenty of space. Apartment was in fabulous condition, close to shopping, restaurants, Acropolis, whatever you needed or wanted. Mariliza was responsive and a very kind and accommodative owner. Andy did a great job helping us when we arrived and gave us a thorough tour. Highly recommend, 5 stars all around!

Lovely apartment

Excellent location, amazing view, comfortable beds. Two things to note— you need a cell phone connection without using wifi to meet the housekeeper outside the apartment to gain access and there are about 40 wide spiral stairs leading to the apartment. We had no problem with either.

Incredible Apartment

If you want to visit Athens this apartment is the place to stay. All the rooms are bright and airy with high ceilings. The rooms are spacious to say the least. The kitchen is large and well supplied with a full size refrigerator, not that you will need it that much due to the number of local dining options. A view of the Acropolis from the front balcony is a plus. The location is perfect with many attractions in walking distance. I would return in a heartbeat.

great location with terrace

Great location in Plaka and great terrace to enjoy evening overlooking Acropolis ( although picture in add is from the bedroom window next to the terrace- palm tree obstructs view a bit more from the terrace) . Overall very clean . Rooms are large and beds comfortable. Kitchen furniture is a bit dated (fridge) and second bathroom may need an upgrade as some mold begining to form over shower ceiling. Otherwise would have given it an overall 5 star rating but still recommend it . Host was communicative and very helpful pointing out restaurants and convenience stores nearby

Great host, great location

The apartment is in a perfect location on a cobblestone street in Plaka. Right by the Hadrian arch. You can walk everywhere. Beautiful balcony overlooking the church. There is AC in every room. More importantly, Marilisa was an exceptional host. She emailed us two weeks before with check in information. The email included recommendations for restaurants in different neighborhoods! We were checked in efficiently. He took our suitcases up the steps. Marilisa contacted us, mid stay to make sure everything was ok. For check out, she had already agreed to hold our luggage between check out at 10 and when we leave at 1 pm but then she reached out to say that their next guest was late and we could have the apartment til 1 pm. That was IMMENSELY helpful to us. Overall, I can’t recommend the apartment enough and Marilisa is an exceptional host!

Perfect Athens Location & Apartment

Athens did not disappoint! The location of this apartment is walking distance to the most wonderful shopping and dining experiences. The balcony with the view of Acropolis is stunning! The apartment is nicely furnished and spotless upon arrival. Our flight was delayed until midnight and the host was very accommodating. We were a party of five - two couples and one single. The apartment was perfect for our four night stay. We booked a walking tour through tours by locals and it was filled with so much wonderful history of the city. We had a wonderful experience!

The apartment was lovely and was as represented. Beautiful view of Acropolis from veranda.

Marilisa was fantastic. She went above and beyond in arranging transportation for us. She checked regularly to see if we needed anything, including recommendations.

Plaka apartment with Acropolis view

What a wonderful place and and even more wonderful host. Mariliza’s apartment is charming, warm and perfectly located to to take in all the sights, enjoy wonderful food, and easy access to airport transportation. Most importantly, Mariliza is completely attentive to any aspects of your stay, from restaurant recommendations to tours to transfers. She and her place made for a perfect start to our family of 5 Greek vacation.

Acropolis Veranda Residence, your home under the Acropolis, can be found in the most famous and authentic Athenian neighborhood , that of Plaka. Get lost as you wander its winding pedestrian streets, marvel at the white and fuchsia bougainvillea that spills from balconies, and stumble upon unexpected ancient ruins. Explore the prettiest neighbourhood in Athens that has close proximity to historic landmarks such as: The Acropolis Museum (4'min.walk) Temple of Olympian Zeus (4' min,walk) Anafiotika (6'min.walk) Herodes Atticus Odeon (12'walk) as well as the Ancient Agora of Athens (13' walk), the Monastiraki Flea Market (10'walk) and Syntagma Square (11'walk). (There is also a grocery store at 150 meters away and a super market at 400 meters away. From traditional Greek food to old-school cafés, you can eat and drink in Plaka in legendary places like Brettos, Yiasemi, Glykis Kafenio, Platanos Taverna, Dioskouri, Saita, and many more.

The cozy and contemporary interior features a spacious living room with large windows and a seemingly infinite sofa to relax in while watching your favourite program on the 55’’ smart TV. The bench-style dining table is perfect for enjoying your meal or for getting work done. The apartment has one master bedroom with a double bed and an en suite bathroom, a spacious second bedroom with a double bed, a third bedroom with two single beds that can be converted into one comfortable bed, a fully equipped kitchen and a second bathroom.
The exterior space comes with a terrace and a balcony. All rooms are equipped with top quality mattresses made by SEALY (USA), 40’’ smart tv, and plenty of storage space.
