“Welcome to the most beautiful place in southern Crete… Once you've been here, you'll never want to leave.” This region and specifically this romantic holiday home with private swimming pool has stolen our hearts… Would you also like to enjoy the luxury of a private holiday home with your own swimming pool and relax here? Hiking in the rugged and mountainous region or mainly settle down on the many extensive beaches? Would you like to go out for dinner in the many attractively priced restaurants?

We are super excited about everything here and are happy to share it with you! Oljapetra is a completely renovated (2022) holiday home in a quiet location for 4 people with private pool, just 2.5 km from the sea. The house is within walking distance of the village of Lefkogia (with its supermarket and nice tavernas, definitely go to Stella and say hi from us)! It is also a 5-minute drive from Plakias, a bustling village with a beautiful large beach and many good restaurants…


Inside
Modern living room with open kitchen, double sliding doors to the terrace and garden with private pool. Two bedrooms, one with a king-size bed of 180x200 (Coconut – super quality beds) and one with 2 single beds that can also be converted into a double bed. Finally, there is a spacious bathroom with walk-in shower, sink and toilet.

Outside
Large fenced garden with beautiful views of the sea and the mountains, various seating areas, outdoor kitchen area, fruit trees and ample parking space for the car. The roof terrace upstairs is very special, where you can lounge and relax!

Surroundings
Lefkogia is a beautiful village within walking distance of your accommodation, there are several restaurants and a supermarket. Plakias, 6 km away, has all facilities and many restaurants, beach bars, etc. The beaches Damnoni and Amoudi are only 2 km (exact) away and you can walk there or hire a scooter... some lovely tavernes on the beach.

Activities
In this rugged and mountainous region with its beautiful views you can enjoy walking without meeting anyone. In the Kourtaliotiko gorge you can take stairs to the waterfalls and the church of Agios Nikolaos. In the gorge you will see many birds of prey. Would you rather go to the beach? Then there is plenty of choice: Amoudi, Damnoni, Plakias, Souda and Preveli beach with the unique palm grove. Each beach has its own unique charm. You can go by car (everything is a maximum of 15 minutes away) but you can also take the boat from Plakias to Amoudi and Preveli. From your holiday house you can easily reach Damnoni and Amoudi beach. You can also walk to Preveli beach. Park your car at the Venetian bridge from the 18th century and follow the route past beautiful old olive trees to Preveli beach, partly via the mountains and the river. The monastery of Moni Preveli is definitely worth a visit. It is still inhabited by three monks and is built around a source, with many steps and differences in level.
