¡Te damos la bienvenida a The Ledges Resort & Marina! Estamos ubicados en la calle El río Lawrence frente al castillo de Boldt. Tenemos vistas del castillo, el faro de Sunken Rock y el principal canal de envío. Tenemos cubiertas, muelles, hamacas y cenadores. Son excelentes para observar barcos o pescar. Hemos recientemente renovado piscina en el suelo. Hay fogatas al aire libre donde puedes calentarte bajo las estrellas. ¡Incluso proporcionamos la leña! Hay muchas áreas de césped abiertas para jugar, jugar al césped o simplemente caminar.

The Ledges ofrece una escapada tranquila con 6 acres de jardines a lo largo del agua. Si bien los terrenos brindan privacidad y mucho espacio, no estamos en una ubicación remota. La cabaña Shipwatch es una hermosa cabaña de dos dormitorios con una chimenea de piedra con vista al río. Cada habitación tiene una cama queen size. Hay un sofá cama queen size con un colchón de espuma viscoelástica en la sala de estar. Tiene una cocina completa con refrigerador / congelador, fregadero delantal de granja, estufa, lavaplatos, cafetera, tetera y microondas. Hay una televisión de alta definición de 39 "con televisión satelital Directv.
En la terraza al aire libre hay una parrilla y una mesa de comedor con sillas para disfrutar de la parrilla de verano. Hay una hoguera con sillas Adirondack para disfrutar de s'mores con la familia.

Beekman 1802 proporciona champú, acondicionador y jabón de manos de lujo. Las camas están hechas con sábanas frescas. También se proporcionan toallas de baño, toallas de mano y paños.

Wonderful Time

We had a wonderful time with Family at the Ledges. Everything was Perfect. Well supplied cottage, clean and comfortable, wood and starter kindling for fit pit and right next door to our fishing charter "Reel Commander". We will be back for sure.

Wonderful place to stay!

The property is well cared for with special touches to make you feel right at home. Many amenities makes it easy to come and stay without having to pack alot of extra things. The fire pit was stocked with wood and we noticed that it was replenished. We will definitely return again.

Lovely property

The cottage was clean, had a well-stocked kitchen, and the property/grounds were inviting and decorated so nicely for fall. It was easy to take our Golden Retriever outside to do his business. The firepits are such a nice addition! I can imagine coming back in the summer when the pool is open.

Beautiful, clean, modern cottage. Breathtaking views. Hosts kept us in loop for checking in early, boat and jetski docking, pictures of where turn on water to dock at cottage, easy check out. Nightly fire wood provided for fires. Peaceful grounds. A true gem!

Wonderful getaway!

Absolutely loved the place and location. Quiet but not too quiet. I was so impressed by how lovely the grounds were. So well taken care of and filled with photo opportunities! Being able to have our dog with us was very appreciated otherwise we would not have come. The owners (managers) not sure which They were, were very quick to answer any questions we had. My only suggestions would be for a grab bar in the shower so it would truly be handicap accessible and a larger bed in the master. Not sure if it was a queen but a king would have been fabulous. Will definitely be back!!! Thanks so much

Excellent location, beautiful property

My husband and I had a great time, the property is at a fantastic location overlooking Boldt Castle. Each cottage has its own fire pit with firewood provided. The property was very clean, virtual check in was easy and we enjoyed our stay.

Ledges - Shipwatch

Great place to stay. Cabins were very clean and modern. Grounds are kept up well. Location is excellent and only 2 minutes from downtown Alexandria Bay. Communication with owners was excellent.

A great getaway

We stayed at The Shipwatch for the weekend. Nick and Amy have lovingly created a charming, cozy place by the water in Alexandria Bay. The cottage is so sweet, with all the necessities. The two rooms are sufficient, comfortable queen size bed in each room. The living room and kitchen are not large, but if the weather has been nicer, we would have been outside roaming the beautiful outdoor space with Adirondack chairs, fire pits, and gazebo. Nice touches, such as rain shower, good coffee, cute dishes, nice linens, etc. A lovely stay.

Relaxing getaway for a special milestone birthday .

I booked the Shipwatch cabin and was not disappointed . The cabin was decorated beautifully with all the amenities and was very comfortable .I especially loved the rain head shower arm in the bathroom which was a very nice touch and gave me the most relaxing shower. I now have to buy one for my bath... Loved the Adirondack chairs surrounding the Fire Pit ,and thought it was great that fresh wood was provided to make a very nice fire as well.. Also, loved the outdoor pool , and the gazebos on the premises .My guests and I enjoyed the property very much and would love to go back . We couldn't ask for a better weekend. A big thank you to Ainsley for helping me with the TV, and the owners for doing a great job maintaining the property . Cindy T.

Chillin by the river

Perfect blend of close to town while still a million miles away! Nicely maintained property with lots of room to roam, firewood delivered nightly to use in your own personal fire pit. The young couple who owned and maintain the grounds make themselves very available for any problems or questions. Our cabin was very cutely decorated and kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked

Relaxing stay-helpful staff!!!

It’s the perfect relaxing stay! The pool was so enjoyable! The fire pit was always fully stocked by the staff, which was a pleasant surprise! Anytime we needed anything, help came within 5 minutes! Clean, beautiful house and location! Thank you so much for a fabulous experience! We cannot wait to come again!

A pleasant surprise

Beautiful clean property. We were supposed to stay in Boathouse 3, but due to circumstances beyond the owners control (Mother Nature decided to flood the river this Spring), we were upgraded to Shipwatch cottage. Cannot say we were dissapointed in any way. We were met by a worker on our arrival who took us to the cottage. Sorry we can't remember her name, but she was extremely pleasant and offered a lot of information about the area. The overall property is clean and well kept, some of the views of Boldt Castle in the evening are spectacular. We met Nick and Amy who are very nice. Nick even came around and put the AC units back in because of the warmer weather for the weekend (much appreciated). We are already planning on returning next year. Thank you for your hospitality. Summer Getaway

Nick and Amy were very accommodating last minute reservations for our family. We have young kids and they were entertained with plenty to do between the pool and fires while on the grounds. The cottage was clean and up to date with plenty of space for everyone. We will definitely be back.

The Ledges Resort & Marina started with my grandparents Nicholas J Schaefer and his wife Amy. They purchased the property in 1961 and made it their home. In 1963 they built a motel and named it The Ledges. They also opened a German restaurant on the property named The Old World Inn. They closed the restaurant 1982, but continued with the motel. In later years the motel was managed by my parents, Jerome and Deborah Schaefer. They expanded into the marina and cottage rental business. In 2013 after 50 years in business we made a decision as a family to close the business and tear down the motel.

In 2014 my wife and I purchased the property from my parents. We remodeled the old buildings and built brand new cottages from the ground up. We re-opened to guests in the spring of 2015. I was named after my grandfather, Nicholas, and it just so happens that my wife’s name is Amy. So, once again Nick & Amy are your hosts at the Ledges!
