Host was very friendly and accommodating to our needs. He even shared veggies from his own garden with us. The best part is the location. We love Alexandria Bay and being on the waterway was special. There were 13 people in our party and everybody had a bed. We hope to stay here again in the future.

The house was large and comfortable for our group of 8 adults and 1 toddler. The deck had a great view of the water and all the boats/ships coming and going. The kitchen was well stocked minus a couple things (no cheese grater/shredder or scissors) and we loved the 2 dishwashers which made cleanup so much easier! There were a lot of various oils and spices in the cabinets but definitely need to bring your own foil and cling wrap/plastic containers for leftovers.The host Richard was great and answered all of our questions, and promptly replaced the empty propane tanks when we needed them.Just a note on packages - the post office does not deliver them to the house. We had to order some bowls from Amazon cause we planned on making ramen one night for dinner, and had to go to the post office to pick them up. They said they don’t deliver anything that won’t fit inside a vessel/mailbox, just FYI.

We have stayed at numerous places in 1000s islands. We have boated past this house so many times and always wanted to stay. Finally they had an opening. You won't find a a better host or house if you have a large family or multiple families. We have already booked for next yr. Highly recommend.

The perfect stay

This is the 3rd year our group has traveled out of town for a long weekend. This property was 100% true to the listing and actually had more room than we expected. Dick was easy to work with and would stay there again if we find our way back in Alex Bay.

Excellent home for a group

The home was clean, the kitchen well stocked and the beds and furniture were comfortable. The family enjoyed the multi level patio/decks and sitting on the dock.I’ve spent a lot of time on the St. Lawrence, and it can be hard to find a spot that has enough bedrooms/beds that can accommodate a group comfortably, has dock access for a boat, and adequate parking. Appreciated proximity to A-Bay and grocery stores. Dick was an excellent host. We hope to return for another trip next year!

Views and Family Fun

We went up for a college graduation weekend and while the place was a little larger than we needed (someone couldnt make it) it turned out perfect for our group. Wonderful views of the St Lawrence and we saw some massive ships go by. Even caught a fish off the dock as we fly fished one evening. The house: Spacious kitchen, high-end large grill which worked great, nice large dining room table for 14+ and plenty of beds for all to sleep comfortably. Nice linens and towels. Could use some shampoos in the bathrooms as an extra touch. Exterior of the house could use some work as there is paint coming off in numerous places and decking could use a power wash. The driveway: Slightly odd location off the resort access road: you end up driving down a small part dirt part paved lane past a dumpster and heavy equipment/trucks and outbuilding to get to the property which itself has a nice paved driveway and shared lane. Odd access. Met the neighbor a few doors down when her dog came to visit and she was very nice as was the caretaker next door. Overall a very nice stay and I would stay here again knowing the "quirks nad features".

Wonderful!

Beautiful home right on Alex Bay. Perfect for a large group. There were 12 of us. Easy access for boating and fishing on the river. Large outdoor deck, patio, and dockage. Kitchen well stocked and 4 full bathrooms! Plenty of towels for all! Thank you! 😊

Best rental experience ever!!!

The property was better then i could have imagined. Stayed for 5 days over Thanksgiving with family of 14. Plenty of room for everyone. The house was spotless and had everything you needed from towels, linens, cooking equipment, etc. Dick was a super host and provided the best communication I have had using VRBO. Would highly recommend this property. Thanks again Dick for a wonderful vacation.

Great Location and space

We had a family reunion that accommodated all 13 of us as we had plenty of towels, outdoor seating and beds. We enjoyed having a covered patio and the area on the deck! Having the piano was a plus! We will be back!

Had another great long weekend. Weather was great. Hope to be back next year!

Our family stayed for the second time at this spacious location. Plenty of room for 15 people with all having their own space. Missed having the use of the hot tub as it was not working. A few of the beds we believe could use new mattresses. But overall a great family space. Hope to be back next year!

Absolutely Beautiful

I did not give this property a 5 star rating..Reason being The property owner did not have any communication what so ever...Never was told anything of any codes to get in..Had to figure everything out on are own at arrival..Don’t get me wrong the place was absolutely beautiful & we had a great time but there was an issue with the hot tub..One of the main reason for renting the property & feeling about spending extra for that reason just to find out when getting there it was not in working order nor were we informed...Contacted the owner after trying several times to get a email back a day later the brain was gone on the hot tub...Don’t mind spending the money for something if everything is in working order & never did he offer to knock some money off for it not working....Other than that we had a great time...

Wedding Memories

We had a wonderful wedding at this property and we’re blessed with great weather as well as a great location. The house easily accommodated 30 people for the reception and was very comfortable for everyone staying and visiting all week to enjoy boating, jet skis, etc. Thanks Richard

A week in paradise!

The 1000 Islands has to be one of the prettiest places on earth. It was a wonderful week for my wife and me, our 2 children and their spouses, and our 3 grandchildren. You can not miss renting River Royalty and its wonderful host/owner!
