Wonderful house

  • 5 of 5

This home was really great for us, our two small children, and chocolate lab. The owners were extremely accommodating in allowing us to book last minute and were wonderful to work with. The house was extremely clean, uncluttered, and comfortable. The layout of this home was what really made it special. Downstairs, whether you were cooking in the kitchen or lounging in the living area, you didn't feel sealed off. There was excellent flow and it really made it feel extra homey. The beds were all super comfortable and we loved all the light throughout the house from the large windows (even in the bedrooms!). There was a great collection of movies, with plenty for kids. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans and anything else you might need - it even had a gas range! We also really liked the area. The house is at the end of a small street so there was a lot of privacy. The location in terms of attractions and accessibility was also wonderful. It's very close to Marconi beach and a short walk to the marsh. The marsh has an amazing sunset and Marconi was full of seals swimming when we went on our last night, so both are winning spots for a relaxing beautiful view. We had an amazing time and were sad to go. Thanks John and Dennis for sharing your home!

What a wonderful vacation home!

  • 5 of 5

Our family vacation couldn't have been better, and this home was a huge part of it. With 2 dogs, 5 adults, and one 3-year old child, most homes would feel crowded and tight, but this home was spacious, sunny, clean, and comfortable! The description of the home and its amenities was accurate. However, we were totally pleasantly surprised by how many towels, how many chairs, and how well stocked the kitchen was. It truly felt like a home instead of a vacation rental. The location felt so safe and private. We explored many beaches, biked right from the home to Lieutenant Island, watched the sunset, and had a wonderful time. We highly recommend this rental home to anyone looking for a quiet, somewhat woodsy, location, near Wellfleet. The owners were responsive to any questions I had, which was very helpful. Thank you, Dennis and John.

Wonderful Vacation!

  • 5 of 5

A great place to stay with every convenience one could wish for. My husband and I and our two dogs were there for 5 days in late May. The weather was a bit cool but the house was nice and warm. We went there to relax and while we did a bit of sightseeing, we spent a lot of time just hanging out in the house and on the deck because it was so pleasant. We found a nice restaurant (The Bookstore on the Bay in Wellfleet) to go out to eat that would allow our dogs to join us. Found great pizza at Rookie's (just as we remembered it from years ago). We're already recommending the place to others and hope to return next year.

Great house. Great location

  • 5 of 5

We took a chance on the off-season weather and booked this house for the kids' April vacation. We really lucked out, with unseasonable warmth and bright blue skies. If you are considering going this time of year, we found the beaches all but deserted, and free, and dog friendly. We had the walking and bike trails practically to ourselves. And while we were expecting to find a lot of places closed for the season, most of them were not. I don't know how much this had to do with the mild weather, but we had no trouble finding ice cream, fry shacks, mini golf--and Provincetown was hopping on Sunday afternoon.

The location is perfect: private and quiet, yet close to the beaches, trails, restaurants and shopping. The house is as described.

Not least, the owners were very accommodating and answered all e-mails promptly, the rental agreement was reasonable, and the price was right. We spend many of our vacations renting houses via the internet, and having reasonable and conscientious owners is key.

As the Photos show! A cared for modern home!

  • 5 of 5

The home is well stocked! All the supplies you would need a kitchen, no need to bring anything. We found the home clean and well-maintained.

The bikes were in good condition ready to use, next time we may leave ours home. There was a large assortment of DVD's. A place to barbecue and a lovely deck.

Walking distance to the bay, Marconi Beach very close, good restaurants close-by and a wonderful bakery with really upscale scrumptious goods! It's by the beginning of the bike trail. There's a good no frill fish place by the pier with outdoor seating and good views of the harbor.

All in all, my family had a great experience! The home was great and the area hard to top! Close to bay, ocean, lakes, and bike trails. We would certainly think of renting this home again.

Human and Canine Friends Retreat

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time at this wonderful Cape vacation getaway. It accommodated my sister and her family of 2 and my family of 4 quite well. In addition we both brought the additional members of our families, two dogs each! Both dogs and humans had a wonderful time. The house is airy and spacious with alot of natural ligjht via the huge wonderful windows. Once the windows are open there is a wonderful air flow to the point that air conditioning was unnecessary.

The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans, dishes, utensils... There is a beautiful private back deck that one could easily spend the whole day on just reading and barbecuing when hunger strikes!

Alot of privacy as it is nestled in the woods at the end of a cul-de-sac on about 1 acre of land.

In addition, there are many places to walk the dogs right from the house. Marconi Beach, oceanside, is a short 5 minute ride from the house.

Unfortunately, we discovered the last day we were there our favorite restaurant which is very close to the house. It is called "Catch of the Day". Very unpretentious but fresh and delicious if you like plain, unadulterated seafood that is very reasonably priced.

The owners were very reasonable and easy to deal with.
