We had a wonderful stay at Coach House Retreat in Whitby. The accommodation was lovely, comfortable and well maintained, and it was a great place to relax after exploring Whitby and the surrounding area. Everything we needed was provided, and the whole stay felt welcoming and peaceful. The location was also very convenient for enjoying Whitby.

Relaxing stay

Lovely property, perfect for a relaxing break. It is situated in a quiet residential part of Whitby which I found to be a big plus as there was no late night noise from pubs and bars. Having it's own allocated parking space was also a definite bonus. The property itself is really well decorated and feels like a home away from home.

Whitby apartment

Positives: Clean apartment. Well catered for a couple. Nice walk into Whitby from the location.Good shower. Comfortable bed.Negatives: neighbourhood can be busy and noisy. Kids playing football against the wall on the car park.Many bins left overflowing so seagulls are a problem and hard to sleep at night if they are around.Couldn’t fault the host or the apartment.

It’s great to know you enjoyed the walk into Whitby and appreciated the shower and bed! I’m sorry to hear about the noise and the issue with the bins and seagulls — that’s definitely not ideal. While I don’t have direct control over the surrounding area or the council bin collection, I’ll report the overflowing bins to the relevant services and keep an eye on it for future guests.
