The Lakehouse Retreat - Diversión para todas las edades

Disfrute de la vida tranquila y entretenida en el lago en una casa recientemente renovada en Crooked Lake. Upper Crooked Lake es un lago de 735 acres ubicado en Delton, Michigan, en el suroeste de Michigan. Puede disfrutar del ambiente de la vida en el lago, que incluye natación, pesca, kayak y simplemente relajarse con el lago a sus pasos.

Esta casa de dos pisos frente al lago tiene tres dormitorios, un altillo, dos baños, una cocina totalmente equipada, lavaplatos, lavadora y secadora, aire acondicionado central, WI-FI, generador y otras comodidades modernas. El dormitorio del piso principal tiene una cama queen y un baño en la planta baja; El loft, 2 dormitorios y una bañera de hidromasaje en el baño principal de arriba. Although the weather wasn’t in our favor, we enjoyed our stay and time together. Kayaking and fishing were the main features the week.The house has plenty of room to spread out, including two bathrooms. The kitchen had everything we needed for preparing home-cooked meals 3x per day, including a pot big enough to make spaghetti for six and for boiling corn on the cob. The grill was clean and ready for us, all we needed to supply was the charcoal.The dining table was the hub for most of our meals and for board games (supplied by host!), except when the weather allowed for a lunch or two at the table on the deck under the awning.We enjoyed the water as much as the temperature allowed and built sand castles and watched sunsets the rest of the time.

The place was just right for my family. We enjoyed the sunsets, the beach area, neighbors were nice, convenience to the local stores. The host was great, she informed us about local store and attractions. My family says best vacation ever ....

We loved our stay at The Lakehouse Retreat! Sherrie was a wonderful and responsive host and the home was spotless, spacious, and perfect for our group. The lake views, renting the pontoon boat, kayaking, and swimming made it extra special, and the location is ideal for relaxing. There is easy access to the lake. We enjoyed the shaded dining space on the deck and the firepit area near the water. The kitchen is well stocked. Truly fun for all ages—highly recommend!

Pleasant stay

This is a good size house on a very nice lake with beautiful sunsets and a nice pier to fish from. The main area is large and the kitchen well equipped.While there are 2 bathrooms one is accessible only through the primary bedroom on the 2nd floor. This means that others sleeping upstairs must go through that bedroom to use the bathroom at night or venture down the stairs to the first floor bathroom. The bathroom on the first floor is small and might be difficult for some to manuever in.

Great view of lake. Sunsets were exceptional. Fishing was great. Caught bluegill, northern pike, largemouth bass, and crappie. Very enjoyable stay. 5 stars.

The Lake House on Crooked Lake

Our stay at the Lake house was a good one. It accomadated the 7 of us quite well. We enjoyed the fishing off the dock. Caught several different species of fish. The dozen of swans were amazing to watch every day. The sunsets were very colorful. The area was very peaceful and quiet. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

The Lake House was more than we'd hoped for!

We had the best week at Sherrie and Norman's Lake House! The house is cute and the decor puts you in the lake life mode right away. We flew into MI from out of state, so we were traveling light, but the house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay - the kitchen had all of the tools and dishes that we needed, the appliances worked well, the house had lots of comfy furniture and space for everyone to enjoy being together, there was a whole shelf of games and cabinet of movies to enjoy, the location right on the water was just what we had hoped for, and Sherrie and Norman were great hosts. Thank you both for making our Michigan summer vacation dreams a reality.

Relaxing lake house!

I grew up in Michigan staying at cottages around the state, so for me, this was like coming home. The lake house has all the charm and history of an old cottage but is completely refinished, with all the modern amenities. The best of both worlds! We stayed in the winter, so no swimming :). But I loved sitting on the large living room sectional and looking out over the ice. Very healing at a busy time of the year. The owner was easy to reach and attentive, the rooms are comfortably furnished, and the place was very clean. Super easy to check in and check out.

Great getaway on the Lake!

My mom and I took my two little boys (2 and 4 months) for a lake getaway (really just a chance to parent in a different location). :-) We just wanted a beautiful lake view and that’s what we got. We were able to set up a pack n play and a toddler mattress in the loft area. Sherrie was great with communication and gave us wonderful recommendations for entertaining my toddler. The house was very clean and the stocked kitchen was great since we did most meals at the house. The living area is a great set up with the two couch areas. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay again if we go back to that area. It was a very welcoming town with things to do nearby (within 20-30 minutes) and Sherrie is a great hostess!

My mother, daughters, and nieces stayed over the 4th! The view is beautiful and the lake is not very busy which is great if you rent the boat! It was a good time and Sherri was very reachable!

Wonderful Fall Getaway

What a lovely and perfect place for a fall family trip! The kids had a blast fishing from the dock and kayaking in the lake. We took advantage of the boat available for rent and spent plenty of time cruising the lake in comfort! Sherrie was very sweet and helpful, and we appreciated her tips and tricks of the lake. We would definitely book with her again!

Lake stay

Overall a relaxing place to get away for 7 of us. The kitchen was somewhat crowded with more than 2 people trying to help with meals.Loved the loft for the kids, and we enjoyed the books, dvd’s, and games that kept us busy on a rainy day. The owner, Sherrie, stopped by within a day to introduce herself, and respond to any questions. There were plenty of linens, and household items for our use.

Lakehouse getaway at Crooked Lake Delton

We enjoyed an Amazing family vacation at The Lakehouse! Sherrie was responsive to all of our needs. She took the time to create a list of Fun activities for us to enjoy with our 3 grandkids. It was fun to be on the lake on their pontoon and kayaks. We also enjoyed playing in the lake, fishing from the dock and s’mores at their fire pit. There are lots of movies and games to enjoy. Our family throughly enjoyed themselves and we plan to come back. Thanks so much for sharing your home!

Family Time

We had a wonderful time staying in this home. The location, size, and lake time made for a relaxing and fun family vacation. The owner did everything they could to make us feel welcome and was in contact if needed. My grand kids loved the sand and swimming with the fish! 🙂 They town has that small town helpful feel and we really enjoyed the ice cream. I would definitely love to stay here again.

Nice lake house...

The property is nice; cozy and inviting. The king suite could use a mattress update, and the showers are a bit cramped, but other than that the property is good. Great location, feet from the lake, great accommodations. Owner is very friendly, and worked with us on any requests.

About the owners: Sherrie and her family migrated from the inner city life of Chicago in the mid 70’s. This home is considered her childhood home where her parents hosted many gatherings and made special memories.

For over 40 years, the Weevers rented their lake front property next door and watched generations grow year after year as family/friends made Crooked Lake their vacation destination. We hope others enjoy! Sherrie and Norman
