About the property

Room # 2 Sleeps 2 (Double Bed) at Goddess Cove Winery Blocks from Downtown Napa

Each listing is for a single bedroom rental within my downtown Napa home...Goddess Cove. Goddess Cove is located in oldtown Napa just a few blocks walking distance to the Napa Downtown Riverfront promenade where world famous restaurants, boutiques, and retail businesses are located in historic landmark buildings. This area offers entertainment, fine dining and numerous wine bars and tasting rooms. Also, within walking distance to this Victorian home is the Oxbow Market containing a farmer's market, numerous restaurants, specialty coffee shops, and other unique small shops. The Napa Wine Train is located across the street from the Westin Hotel where the Michelin starred La Toque Restaurant is located just a short walk from the house.

This home is located directly across the street from the nationally known Vinoce/Twenty Rows Winery which is solely owned and operated by the Nuss Family who is famous for their Mt. Veeder wine.

This 1885 Victorian house is on the local Napa list for historical homes and has been in the process of historical preservation/renovation for the past 15 years.

Room #2 will be your room during your stay. Located on the first floor of our home, it is the only bedroom located on that floor. Just steps away is an onyx tiled bathroom with a bathtub and a handheld shower head. It contains a double bed which sleeps two comfortably and antique furnishings. The room has both decorative and stained glass windows and includes your own private closet.

The first floor of this home contains two fireplaces, one in the dining room and the other in the parlor, a Struss Chandelier, an antique dining room table and breakfront cabinet from the Graeser Winery, a hand carved wooden door with wood cuts displaying the Renaissance era of wine-making techniques, and other art pieces. A stained glass mural is above the dining room fireplace hearth which is illuminated by interior "hidden" lighting behind it.

The gourmet stainless steel galley kitchen which is just steps away has copper and onyx counter tops, a Wolf stove, and Bosch appliances and a separate walk-in pantry area with a custom designed extra large sink. The flooring is exotic hand-laid tiger wood with each piece of wood measured and specifically chosen for its individual unique "tiger-stripped" design and length to be placed on the floor as a single plank.

There is a secluded front patio covered by passion vines and a shelter. In this secluded area are comfortable chairs and a patio table.

WIFI is available as well as two landlines and a fax machine.

The entire property is surrounded by wrought iron fencing and stone walls for privacy. There is ample curb side parking.

About Colleen Moore

Born on a lettuce farm in the Salinas Valley, I have lived in California all my life. Nearly twenty years ago I moved to the Napa Valley to remodel and restore a nineteenth century Victorian that I have grown to cherish. I have the privilege of making wine in my very own home alongside one of Napa's highly regarded winemakers, Mr. Richard Graeser. In addition to wine, I enjoy gardening, cooking and having my dog, Dante, walk me :)

Colleen Moore purchased this bed and breakfast in 1998

Why Colleen Moore chose Napa

I fell in love with this home at first site when I saw it nearly 20 years ago and it have been a labor of love ever since while doing a near complete historical restoration. (there are still a few small projects happening, but it's part of the charm of a nineteenth century home.

What makes this bed and breakfast unique

As a guest of Goddess Cove, you'll be treated like family. We offer all of our guests a complimentary tasting of our very own wines (Cabernet Franc, Port, and our newest to be bottled... a 2016 Rose'). We also do wine pairings with cheese and chocolate. Our winery home is located less than 60 feet from the tasting room for Vinoce / Twenty Rows, serving some of the best wine in the Napa Valley. This truly is a unique experience and we as the homeowners and property managers are excited to meet you and hope you'll consider Goddess Cove for your next Napa adventure.

Incredible home, incredible hosts, most unique and affordable in Napa, definitely coming back!

  • 5 of 5

This may have been the best VRBO/AirBnB/vacation rental type stay that my wife and I have ever had. Both Colleen and her home, Goddess Cove, are truly incredible. She and Mr. Graeser were waiting at the home to welcome us when we arrived, showed us to our lovely room, and then treated us to some of their own wine. Colleen doesn't charge enough for this home. My wife and I stayed just down the road for over 2x this much several years back. You are a short walk from the downtown area, right across the street from a lovely less well known winery (get the Cabernet Franc!). It's also a great outpost to explore greater Napa affordably and with the sage advice of Colleen and Mr. Graeser. We got to know our hosts and they are some of the sweetest people we've ever met. The whole community around here know them well and are all lovely.

We'll definitely be staying with Colleen again. Thank you!

Owner's Response: Andrew and Saara were dream guests. They were very respectful of our home and us.They were very engaging and shared their experience and knowledge with us. Andrew took the time to explain to Mr. Graeser how Bitcoins work. Saara was very kind and a pleasure to share our thoughts on current events with a very positive attitude. This couple is obviously sophisticated world travelers and fit into our community easily. They spent time with our neighbors who also enjoyed their company after we retired for the evening. Saara and Andrew are kind generous people and we were honored to have them as our guests. I would highly recommend them to other hosts. We certainly hope that they return to Goddess cove in the future.. Colleen Moore Goddess Cove Winery/our home Napa, Ca. 94559

We enjoyed our stay at Goddess Cove. The location is very convenient for visiting both Napa Valley and Sonoma. Coleen is an excellent, kind hostess. She greeted us and made sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable. We were also greeted by her beautiful cat! Coleen was very eager to visit with us and share wine from her own personal winery. We regretfully missed out on this wine tasting because there was so much to do and see in this area. Thanks for your hospitality, Coleen!

Charming Home, Wonderful Hosts, Great Location!

  • 5 of 5

Just returned from a wonderful stay at this truly unique property. The house is charming, and Coleen is the warmest, most helpful and kind person, with great tips for local wineries and restaurants. There is even a wonderful organic garden, winery and brewery right across the street, the beautiful Napa river water front is only a few short blocks away. We were made to feel more like we were being looked after by old friends than business owners. The house is filled with personality; what it lacks in perfection is more than exceeded by the owners' attention to their guests comfort. Come with an open mind, and leave with a memorable experience.

Convivial, convenient, good value, but like staying with relatives—both good and bad

  • 4 of 5

Coleen welcomed us and we had a lovely wine tasting under the vines outside the front porch with her and Mr. Graeser and our fellow guests—very convivial and charming. It was a great location and we could walk to everything. Our room was small, but the bed was comfortable and linens fresh. The downside was that the bathroom required a walk through the more public parts of the house and wasn’t well arranged. It was like what you might experience staying with an older family member. Overall, we were content.

Owner's Response: We appreciate you taking the time to write us a review. We certainly enjoyed sharing our wine with you and our other guests. We appreciate you choosing Goddess Cove to stay during your visit to Napa, I recognize that the bathroom is not directly connected to the bed room since this house was built in 1885 when bathrooms were not considered into the building plans of these old homes. It is still a private bathroom which is approximately 20 feet from the only bedroom located in this downstairs flat. We appreciate that you had a wonderful time at Goddess Cove and look forward to seeing you again. Colleen Moore & Mr. Graeser

Eclectic home in the heart of Napa

  • 5 of 5

Colleen is the perfect host! Her home is wonderful, very warm and welcome! She was there to greet us upon our arrival and was available throughout our stay for any questions we had! Her home is a historical property and we enjoyed the museum inside! I can’t wait to return to share a bottle of wine and life stories again with Colleen! Thank you!
