About the property

Room # 2 Sleeps 2 (Double Bed) at Goddess Cove Winery Blocks from Downtown Napa

Each listing is for a single bedroom rental within my downtown Napa home...Goddess Cove. Goddess Cove is located in oldtown Napa just a few blocks walking distance to the Napa Downtown Riverfront promenade where world famous restaurants, boutiques, and retail businesses are located in historic landmark buildings. This area offers entertainment, fine dining and numerous wine bars and tasting rooms. Also, within walking distance to this Victorian home is the Oxbow Market containing a farmer's market, numerous restaurants, specialty coffee shops, and other unique small shops. The Napa Wine Train is located across the street from the Westin Hotel where the Michelin starred La Toque Restaurant is located just a short walk from the house.

This home is located directly across the street from the nationally known Vinoce/Twenty Rows Winery which is solely owned and operated by the Nuss Family who is famous for their Mt. Veeder wine.

This 1885 Victorian house is on the local Napa list for historical homes and has been in the process of historical preservation/renovation for the past 15 years.

Room #2 will be your room during your stay. Located on the first floor of our home, it is the only bedroom located on that floor. Just steps away is an onyx tiled bathroom with a bathtub and a handheld shower head. It contains a double bed which sleeps two comfortably and antique furnishings. The room has both decorative and stained glass windows and includes your own private closet.

The first floor of this home contains two fireplaces, one in the dining room and the other in the parlor, a Struss Chandelier, an antique dining room table and breakfront cabinet from the Graeser Winery, a hand carved wooden door with wood cuts displaying the Renaissance era of wine-making techniques, and other art pieces. A stained glass mural is above the dining room fireplace hearth which is illuminated by interior "hidden" lighting behind it.

The gourmet stainless steel galley kitchen which is just steps away has copper and onyx counter tops, a Wolf stove, and Bosch appliances and a separate walk-in pantry area with a custom designed extra large sink. The flooring is exotic hand-laid tiger wood with each piece of wood measured and specifically chosen for its individual unique "tiger-stripped" design and length to be placed on the floor as a single plank.

There is a secluded front patio covered by passion vines and a shelter. In this secluded area are comfortable chairs and a patio table.

WIFI is available as well as two landlines and a fax machine.

The entire property is surrounded by wrought iron fencing and stone walls for privacy. There is ample curb side parking.

About Colleen Moore

Born on a lettuce farm in the Salinas Valley, I have lived in California all my life. Nearly twenty years ago I moved to the Napa Valley to remodel and restore a nineteenth century Victorian that I have grown to cherish. I have the privilege of making wine in my very own home alongside one of Napa's highly regarded winemakers, Mr. Richard Graeser. In addition to wine, I enjoy gardening, cooking and having my dog, Dante, walk me :)

Colleen Moore purchased this bed and breakfast in 1998

Why Colleen Moore chose Napa

I fell in love with this home at first site when I saw it nearly 20 years ago and it have been a labor of love ever since while doing a near complete historical restoration. (there are still a few small projects happening, but it's part of the charm of a nineteenth century home.

What makes this bed and breakfast unique

As a guest of Goddess Cove, you'll be treated like family. We offer all of our guests a complimentary tasting of our very own wines (Cabernet Franc, Port, and our newest to be bottled... a 2016 Rose'). We also do wine pairings with cheese and chocolate. Our winery home is located less than 60 feet from the tasting room for Vinoce / Twenty Rows, serving some of the best wine in the Napa Valley. This truly is a unique experience and we as the homeowners and property managers are excited to meet you and hope you'll consider Goddess Cove for your next Napa adventure.

Incredible home, incredible hosts, most unique and affordable in Napa, definitely coming back!

  • 5 of 5

This may have been the best VRBO/AirBnB/vacation rental type stay that my wife and I have ever had. Both Colleen and her home, Goddess Cove, are truly incredible. She and Mr. Graeser were waiting at the home to welcome us when we arrived, showed us to our lovely room, and then treated us to some of their own wine. Colleen doesn't charge enough for this home. My wife and I stayed just down the road for over 2x this much several years back. You are a short walk from the downtown area, right across the street from a lovely less well known winery (get the Cabernet Franc!). It's also a great outpost to explore greater Napa affordably and with the sage advice of Colleen and Mr. Graeser. We got to know our hosts and they are some of the sweetest people we've ever met. The whole community around here know them well and are all lovely.

We'll definitely be staying with Colleen again. Thank you!

Owner's Response: Andrew and Saara were dream guests. They were very respectful of our home and us.They were very engaging and shared their experience and knowledge with us. Andrew took the time to explain to Mr. Graeser how Bitcoins work. Saara was very kind and a pleasure to share our thoughts on current events with a very positive attitude. This couple is obviously sophisticated world travelers and fit into our community easily. They spent time with our neighbors who also enjoyed their company after we retired for the evening. Saara and Andrew are kind generous people and we were honored to have them as our guests. I would highly recommend them to other hosts. We certainly hope that they return to Goddess cove in the future.. Colleen Moore Goddess Cove Winery/our home Napa, Ca. 94559

Lovely hosts and great wine!

We had a great time at Goddess Cove! Coleen was a wonderful host, checking in frequently to make sure we had all we needed, and fixing us a snack when arrived late without lunch. So kind!

Great people, great recommendations, great location

  • 5 of 5

Colleen and Richard were fantastic hosts. We arrived late Friday night - Colleen was waiting on the street in the rain to guide us in. The home was exactly what it portrayed itself to be - an old Victorian full of eccentric antiques. If you want lavish frills - this isn't the place. If you are looking for an economical stay in a great location - with an added bonus of two fabulous hosts, you can't go wrong! We spent two days exploring wineries and every recommendation of Richard's was spot on. We shared a bottle with a Richard and Colleen Saturday evening - great company, great conversation and great wine! Truly enjoyed our stay - wish we had a few more days!

Great Hostess & Host and location

  • 5 of 5

We had a quick stay in Napa, arriving Friday morning until early Sunday. We were greeted by Colleen and Mr. Graeser who gave us some suggestions on Wineries to visit. We had a great day of tasting and returned to have a nice glass of their own wine, which was as good as many that we had in Napa. We had a nice "happy hour" and walked to town for dinner. The next morning we walked to Oxbo market for a great breakfast and continued our tour. We used Uber to go from one winery to another, this was a great idea so you could spend as much or little time as you like at each location. Again that evening we had a nice glass of wine with Mr. Greaser and Colleen and some of their friends before heading out to dinner.

Lovely old Victorian and delightful hosts

  • 4 of 5

Eclectic truly describes this work-in-progress renovation, full of objets-d’art and hand crafted furniture. Embossed tin ceiling, onyx-paneled bath, mermaids everywhere, this is a fun place to spend some time. And Colleen is a most interesting and informative host, with Richard as the resident vintner (take his knowledgeable advice on where to explore Napa Valley wineries). Just a couple of blocks from downtown Napa with its eateries, tasting rooms and shops, Goddess Cove will suit for relaxation or adventure.

A wonderful property and even more wonderful people

  • 5 of 5

I had such a nice time during my too-short stay with Colleen and Mr. Graeser. I learned a lot about local history, sampled some of Mr. Graeser's outstanding wine, and had several in-depth really interesting conversations. It was a great experience from start to finish and I have no doubt that I will look for space here again the next time I'm in Napa. Thank you!
