I welcomed Ms. Jacqueline H. on Saturday 27 August in mid-afternoon, as her messages were in German (and I don't speak German) I decided to have a friend who speaks German accompany me, to make check-in easier for my guests. At checkin (booking for 4 adults), the lady arrived with her husband, they explained that the daughter with her partner would probably arrive very late in the evening. I welcomed the guests with a bottle of Tuscan wine and bowls of fresh water for their dog. We showed the house, showed the laundry area, the air conditioning in the rooms, we were told they don't use air conditioning. I asked for the documents of the lady and her husband for the correct registration with the local police (as required by law), inviting her to provide me with the data of the daughter and her partner as soon as they arrived, without problems by the following day. The next day I sent a message in the morning reminding her to send me the necessary data for registration, the lady replied that they would leave in the evening because the area was too noisy for them. I was sorry, but Torre del Lago is a seaside resort with a purely summer tourism, especially on Saturdays (the day of his arrival) there is a lot of evening and night life in the summer (luckily!). But the lady decided she still wanted to leave the house. A month later she sent me a request for partial refund via VRBO, she explained to VRBO that she had to leave when she actually decided she wanted to leave. This request, which among other things she could have made me directly, was not accepted. A few days later, the lady left me this absolutely negative review, probably because she was waiting to be refunded. She wrote that it was too hot, there was air conditioning in the house !!! She wrote that there was too much noise ... but thank goodness people were able to have fun this summer !!! If she wanted silence and fresh air, she could choose the hill and not the sea !!! But the serious thing is that in the review she wrote that the noise was too unbearable as with a child, but the booking was for 4 adults and she never declared the presence of another guest and among other things a minor !!! No respect for house rules but, above all, all guests must be registered with the local police and the lady, with her behavior, did not allow me to do so, it is serious that there was a minor not registered with the local police !!! I contacted VRBO to verify what the lady said regarding the presence of an undeclared guest, and also a minor, something that must necessarily be reported to the local police, because I have always respected the provisions of local laws, for my protection and for the protection of guests. I also thought that the story of the child was an excuse to leave a bad review, not having obtained the partial refund, on the other hand the review actually came only much later. It will be VRBO to clarify the situation and I will act accordingly. I hope it is finally clear to you why the lady made a review with a star.
