Town: Located on the banks of the Ericht River, Blairgowrie is a red sandstone town in Strathmore, Scotland. A great place to begin your exploration of Perthshire and the Angus Glens, it has a variety of shops, restaurants, and cafes. The town is surrounded by rolling fields known for their berries and is the main link to Scotland's largest ski resort, Glenshee, which is perched atop hills and mountains. The Hermitage, meanwhile, is home to a series of stunning waterfalls. Many woodlands in the area are home to a wide variety of wildlife, including red squirrels, foxes, deer, swifts, goldcrests, and buzzards, as well as breeding Ospreys.
