The coastal village of Arnside is located on Morecambe Bay, close to the Cumbrian border and forms part of the Arnside and Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is known for its rich diversity of wildlife, with RSPB Leighton Moss also close by, home to more than 100 bird species. Warton Crag, Gait Barrows, Hyning Scout Wood and Arnside Knott are among the other nature reserves and walking routes in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Within the area walking, cycling, golf and horse riding are all popular activities and at the end of the day, a relaxing meal and a drink or two can be enjoyed in the excellent restaurants, pubs and cafes close by.

Arnside is the perfect base to explore its surrounding areas of the South lakes and Yorkshire Dales. Hop on the train to Grange-over-Sands, a charming, Victorian, seaside town, with a range of shops and cafés. Visit the village of Cartmel, known as the foodie capital of the South Lakes and famous for its sticky toffee pudding. Driving will take you just 30 minutes into Windermere and Bowness, and over to the famous Ingleton waterfalls in the Yorkshire Dales. Beach 350 yards.

Gorgeous flat perfect for relaxing and exploring further afield in equal measure. Missed a few things weâ€™d expect for a furnished home from home like an iron/ironing board, washing up liquid, tea towel. (Unless we just didnâ€™t find them). The latter showing in the cleanliness of the oven tray for example. However totally minor and doesnâ€™t affect the 5* rating. Would absolutely come again and have already recommended to friends.

Arnside view is a lovely apartment with gorgeous views. The beds and showers are amazing. For a modern apartment it felt comfy and cosy. The downsides are the high cupboards, tv a bit of a nightmare but probably just me. Fridge froze everything, again I didnâ€™t check so probably just me. No mirror in master bedroom for hair, make up etc. No guest book so I could give the heads up to future guests, and lastly a bit of an ant invasion! Having said all that, had a lovely stay in a beautiful part of the country and would return to Arnside view.

Excellent, warm accommodation in wonderful Arnside. Very nice, tasteful apartment with access outside onto the covered veranda and grounds. Great views of the bay. Comfortable beds and seating in the living area. It could just do with some more time spent on the cleaning. Maybe they don't allow the cleaners sufficient time other than for a basic clean? The walk-in shower needs a serious scrub and the hand-held shower was growing mould out of it, yuk!! The washing machine is still awaiting repair and no sign of the welcome pack mentioned in the write up (online description needs changing). I know a few of these issues have been mentioned previously in other reviews, and I contacted Cottages.com to ask if they had been sorted, and they assured me they had, so I can't understand why they have still not yet been addressed. Such a shame as it could be perfect with a little more attention.
