Overview

About the property

Several hundred feet of shoreline for lake goers, boaters, and fisherman.

The 32 year old cedar Octa-structure cabin harnesses the view of both the Elk River and Tennessee River. The two rivers are joined here to form the Twin Rivers and makes this location a focal point on Wheeler Lake.

Large deck space provides plenty of room to enjoy the view while being right on the waters of the Elk River and across the side deck the Tennessee River can be viewed. Large Oak and Hickory trees provide shade for relaxing in the hammock or grilling out in the yard. Inside the cabin a good size great room with comfortable sofas is a perfect place to get out of the sun and cool down. The cabin provides two bedrooms with a small loft above. One bathroom and laundry along with a efficient kitchen all are ready for your use.

This destination provides water lovers with every aspect of lake life.

Some of the most attractive activities include: Fishing for all species (Bass and Catfish being the most fun) Crappie and Bluegill are easy to catch along the 250 foot of seawall and dock located on the property. Even the night fishing is good on the pier with the green and blue LED lights.

The property joins Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) public land and boat ramp access area. This provides the traveler with an extension of more than 1000 feet of shoreline for recreation and exploring.

Boating and Kayaking are by far the best activities to enjoy during the Summer on Wheeler Lake. The boat ramp and boat dock ensure that boaters have immediate access to the lake without leaving the cabin. Wheeler Lake provides 67,070 square acres of great boating water. The cabin is surrounded by miles of TVA shoreline, campsites, and islands that are all public land which provide a great opportunity for exploring the outdoors. More information can be found at TVA's website:

Additional amenities can be included with rental fee:

Kayaks and Canoes can be provided with an additional rental fee of $30.00 each, fishing guides are available, and recreational water skiing, wakeboarding, wakesurfing, and tubing may be available (message for additional information).

Nearby marinas provide boat rental

Lucy's Branch Marina

Joe Wheeler State Park Marina

Great fishing, Boating and Kayaking are only a few of the amenities that Twin Rivers cabin provides.

Joe Wheeler State Park is located only 6 miles from the cabin, and there you can find a great 18 hole golf course with a full pro shop, marina, lots of hiking trails, great restaurant, and many picnic areas and beach.

Rogersville, Alabama:

Here is a great opportunity for shoppers to visit the small town stores on Lee Street in downtown Rogersville. Restaurants in Rogersville also provide a small town comfort in a relaxing atmosphere.

Outside of Rogersville only 30 miles away lies the Shoals and Florence which is famous for many musical recordings and extends the shopping experience with another downtown area of shops and great foods.

In the other direction (East) lies Huntsville about 50 miles away and it provides even more entertainment as it is known for NASA's Marshall Space Flight and Rocket Center with museums and other exhibits.

Even better than advertised

  • 5 of 5

Awesome place to stay. Right on the water with a boat ramp the next driveway down. The Cabin was very clean and had everything we could possibly need during our stay. Everyone that we talked to in the area was extremely nice and friendly. The owners were super friendly and helpful before during and after the stay. If you want a clean nice place to stay try this one, you won't be disappointed.

Owner's Response: Thank you so much, we’re so glad you had a good trip. This is our favorite time of the year at the Twin Rivers Cabin with the leaves changing colors throughout the fall season. Hope to see you again, Casey

I was very impressed with my stay. Everything was as the listing said it would be. The house was neat, clean, and comfortable. I thoroughly enjoyed being able to sit on the porch and enjoy the view while eating. I would recommend this to everyone I know.

Great Place for Fishermen

  • 5 of 5

Really enjoyed accommodations, convenience, view and fishing. Cabin was just right for a couple fishermen for a relaxing weekend. Highly recommend for serious fishermen. It was great for the boat, awesome fish cleaning station and great location to get to many fishing hot spots.
