The Red Windows to Blue Sky is a two floor house.There are two main entrances one for each floor .There is also an internal wooden staircase. Almost anything inside the house is handmade and carries itâs own history.
On the ground floor, there is a living room with wood carved sofa and chairs , a marble sofa table a dinning table for 4 persons and a traditional Skyrian fireplace.
On ground floor, there is also the kitchen maintained in itâs original shape (about 1910). The tiles are handmade and the cast iron spots that were used for cooking, remain at their original position.
Of course there is everything needed on a modern kitchen, to prepair a breakfast , a meal or have a drink.
A light wooden table can be placed outside the house ,if you wish to enjoy a café or a glass of wine.
Finally at the ground floor there is the main bathroom.
Going up using the wooden staircase ,you reach the second floor (can be accessed also from the upper street main entrance).
There is a bedroom with a wood carved double bed. There is also a small WC. At the end of a a small corridor , there is the second bedroom with a 100 years old , bronze - iron double bed. Inside this bedroom there is also the Skyrian Sfas.It is a wooden carved construction that hosts an extra single bed.There is a wooden stair to reach Sfas and the place that is created under the Sfas is used as a wardrobe.
Finally on the second floor there is the stone balcony.You can enjoy your breakfast here or have a glass of wine later. Let your eyes catch the beauty of simplicity ,traveling over terraces to the sea or to the hill slopes.

It has been over a century since the Red Windows to Blue Sky was built. It has been recently restored , faithfully and with respect to its history . Is a stone house built following the path of traditional Skyrian architecture.Its' hand made wooden floors and ceilings together with itâs thick stone walls , create unique natural climatization..
Itâs unique position-a breath αway from all major islandâs Capital sightseeing , makes the visitor feel living in the heart of the city ,although sitting on a balcony , observing small churches emerging from the landscape.
The house is located 120m from Eternal Poetryâs Square,a place with breathtaking view ,dedicated to english poet Rupert Brooke.
Around the square are also located The Archaeological Museum , the Faltaits Historical and Folclore Museum,the North Tower of the ancient Pelasgian fortification and the open air stone theater which hosts Skyros Festival during summer. On Brookeâs Sq. there is a free municipal parking area.
From Brookeâs square starts a well maintained stone stepped path that leads to Magazia with itâs famous 3 km sandy beach , taverns by the sea and the pottery workshops.Only 10 min walking down to reach it.
30 m away from the house, lies the Church "Madonna of the Magnates " and the Sarousâ Square with 3 wall painted , meta Byzantine (1560) era churches.
Going up after 300m ,the Medieval castle stands on the top since the Mycinae era . The Saint George Monastery , the Episkopi Church (895 ac)and the medieval cictern are all located inside the castle.From this point an outstanding 360 view around the Aegean Sea is the visitorâs prize.

This means that visitors with quite large body shape may need to be careful in specific areas, such as bedroom II WC, or the wooden internal staircase.
