About this property

Big Moo - a sea view that sleeps 8 guests in 4 bedrooms

Sea and sky flood through huge roof windows, illuminating clean-cut vibrant sofas that dot the large, contemporary, open living space. In one corner, a sleek monochrome kitchen has all that you need to dine with friends or family, or both! A granite-topped island, is as much fun for a friendly celebration as it is for a children's baking session. Or enjoy some fresh fish from the local bay and you will be as happy as a clam. Watch the sand pipers over the bay with binoculars from the large windows.

Three bedrooms and bathrooms are downstairs, the other is up. They each have warm underfloor heated oak floors, bright bedding and simple furniture.

Down the hand-crafted oak stairs to the ground floor, the barn opens to a spacious hall with seating area and stone floors. Here the main bedroom is spacious and uncluttered with a king size bed and the luxury of an en-suite shower room. The twin room has single beds and is light and airy. Another twin room can be found next door, which has the option of being made with the two single beds or a large super king. An inviting fourth bedroom leads from the living space with a huge super king bed. Bathrooms are head-to-toe in a warm shade of travertine stone.

The lawn garden is small but perfect for sitting and rejuvenating in peace and the sun.

Comfortable Property in an amazing location

Converted barn in a small complex; had everything we needed and was quiet and clean. Everything was in good working order and only 3 minutes from the beach

We have recently got back from a stay at big moo. We stayed as a family with 4 small children .The house itself is in a stunning location with amazing views, beautiful sunsets and a small beach you can walk to ( perfect for finding shells and a beach walk) but not a beach you would stay at all day. If you are staying with children you need a car. There are no shops / parks etc in walking distance. It’s idyllic but you are literally in the middle of nowhere . Sadly the condition of the house when we arrived was extremely disappointing. This house was cleaned in a rush or barely at all.We found clumps of dog hair everywhere, all over the floors, in the bed , fridge , on the tea towels, cups , in the washing machine. It was everywhere! There was a fingernail on the window sill , dust and a lid of an old toiletry bottle on the sink and sand on and inside the toilet. After complaining a housekeeper came to change the bed but did not clean up the dog hair pointed out to her . We were very disappointed with how our complaints were handled and found the defensive responses to be extremely unprofessional. The stair gate was broken and the high chair had a screw missing. So if you are staying with a young child please make sure these are in place before you stay as the stairs are quite dangerous for a little one.Apart from the above the house is lovely but due to our communication with the owners and housekeeper we will not be staying again.
