We're really pleased to hear that you enjoyed the beautiful location of Tides Reach and the peaceful sound of the sea, there’s truly something special about Mousehole, and we’re glad you were able to relax and enjoy drinks on the terrace with that beautiful view. We also appreciate your comments about the kitchen setup, the hot shower, and the comfortable TV arrangement for your group. It’s great to know those aspects helped make your stay enjoyable. Regarding the concerns you raised, we’re genuinely sorry that the second bedroom and mattresses didn’t meet your expectations, this is listed as a small double bed on the listing which is what is accurate to what is in the property. All mattresses were purchased in the last couple of years but they will be looked into. We also thank you for raising your concerns about the patio and the privacy, this is also mentioned in the listing that although it is a private terrace, the neighbouring properties have right of way to access their properties via this way. We do apologise if this felt intrusive. As for the cleanliness and cookware, we’ve taken note and will ensure a deep clean will be scheduled and that kitchen items are replaced or upgraded as needed. Hi Claire, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, glad to hear you had a relaxing break and enjoyed the welcome basket of goodies. We are sorry to hear you encountered some issues on your stay. The owner has said they will take a look at the dishwasher so thank you for letting us know about this. With the black mould we are sorry that was there during your stay, the cleaners have been asked to pay special attention to the areas that are subject to damp during the changeovers it is being repainted in due course. The paint dust is a common occurrence in Mousehole and it is believed to be the salt coming through the stone, the owners will ensure the cleaners thoroughly vacuum the wall itself as well as at the base of the wall at every changeover. They will be re-painting the wall in due course and plan to apply a type of paint that is specifically designed for stone. They use earthborn paint which is water based, virtually VOC (volatile organic components) free, free from harmful emissions and vegan friendly. The hot water system unfortunately cannot cope with two showers running at the same time but there should be enough hot water in the tank depending on the length of the showers, the hot water reheats in the morning and night the owner has now extended the heating time to ensure there is plenty of hot water.
