The picturesque fishing harbours of Looe, Fowey and Polperro are all within 15 miles south, while Padstow and the surfing beach at Polzeath lie a comfortable drive away on the North Coast. The Eden project lies within 15 miles and Plymouth is just a 30-minute drive or 25-minute train ride from nearby Liskeard station. With the Barbican harbour district, renowned aquarium, and good selection of shops, restaurants and theatres, this is a great holiday base.
