Town: Tenby is a popular tourist destination on the stunningly gorgeous 'Welsh Riviera,' and is sometimes referred to as "The Jewel in the Crown" of Wales. Tenby is located in the beautiful Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, which stretches for 186 miles down the south-western coast of Wales. The county of Pembrokeshire is one of the sunniest in the United Kingdom, and the water is warmed by the Gulf Stream. This picturesque town is surrounded by a wall that dates back to the Middle Ages and has winding, cobblestone alleys lined with unique stores, an indoor market selling locally sourced goods, cosy tea houses, and tantalising eateries. Watersports enthusiasts can enjoy the nearly three miles of beautiful, Blue Flag-awarded beaches, while walkers and cyclists can take in the local flora and fauna along the coastal paths. Unfortunately, the participants in the world-famous Tenby Iron-Man contest (held in the middle of September) don't have time for any of this!
