What a beautiful location for our visit to the area! Watching the sunset over the Mediterranean in the evening while sipping on Limoncello was just perfect!Lerici is a great little town too! Just the right size to have many options for dinner, yet not large enough to feel like more than a small village. The Host was extremely helpful as well and we felt right at home here!
We have stayed in lots villas around Europe over the years, including in Italy. This was by far, my favourite. The villa was clean and has everything you need to enjoy a perfect stay. The views are absolutely outstanding, they are literally breath taking. We loved it so much that we stayed an extra day. Also, to mention, the town is on walking distance which is a bonus, and there is a free bus for the way home.Gian is a lovely man and a fantastic host.We would stay here again without hesitation.
What a beautiful place! Like a postcard the view...
Gianluca and his family are warm people whom give you a welcome feeling. The house itself and the interior maybe are a little out dated but on the other hand, that is the charme of house... Fantastic view. Swimming pool great. On walking distance of the village (downwards ). Going take the free bus
Everything about our stay was wonderful. The property was gorgeous and cozy with incredible views of the sea. The town of Lerici is quaint and inviting with some great restaurants (oysters shucked by the sea). The walk down to the water is a magical little jaunt through a rainbow of Italian seaside villas, sweeping vines, and pops of ocean vistas. Our host Gianluca was the kindest man and helped us with everything we needed. Him and his son cooked us a beautiful meal that they finished off with some delicious homemade limoncello. It was a pleasure speaking with them about their own travel adventures and the history of the home. Staying here really felt like a homey experience paired with incredible hospitality. The house has been in Gianlucca's family for generations and you can feel the love and care he has put into it. I would love to come back and highly recommend you stay here if you get the chance!
We have been traveling a lot, but this place is one of the best we've ever stayed at. The view is magnificent, and the facilities are very good. Our host Gianluca was very welcoming and friendly. Perfect place to celebrate our 25th anniversary. Highly recommended!
a beautiful location with a brilliant view, but a little noisy from the road and the surroundings. Lerisi is an outstanding city with many opportunities to explore the area.
The house, outdoor area and the pool are just perfect. The view of the city and the area is breathtaking. The hospitality, kindness and helpfulness of the host is exceptional. The city is lovely and there is a free shuttle bus to and from the city, but you can also easily walk to the city. We will recommend the restaurant Il Fagolo.
We stayed at this property for about a week and it was such a beautiful time. Just to start, the property itself has an amazing view overlooking all of Lerici as you enjoy yourself in the backyard with a pool. The living situation accommodated the entire family perfectly, everyone had their own room and it felt like our own private resort! But truly what made the stay as wonderful as it was is the owner Gian Luca and his beautiful wife, such a great couple that made us feel like home away from home. Couldn’t recommend this place enough!

Dear Juan , hosting you was really a pleasure for us .
Enjoy travels , enjoy life !
Gian Luca made our stay at Lerici effortless from start to finish. Offering helpful hints and assistance with transportation throughout. We felt welcomed to his beautiful home (with stunning multi-level verandas and amazing gardens).
Lerici was the highlight of our Italian trip mainly due to the stunning home and Gian and Dianna’s gracious hosting.

Thank you for visiting us , you have been great and enjoyable guests . Always welcome here .
We stayed for ten days in this beautiful house. The view is something special with a large part of Golfo di Poeti in front of you, both when you are in the pool or having dinner. Everything you need for a good vacation is accessible within the house or in the neighborhood.
The hosts is very helpful and interested of making your vacation as good as possible.
Looking forward to visit again.

Thank you very much for your stay , it was a pleasure meeting you .
Gianluca and his family are wonderful hosts. Their property exceeded our expectations, and location is great for exploring neighbouring towns. Gianluca was also very quick to address any questions or concerns we had.The villa is an easy walk down to town (approx 15 minutes) and the free bus drops (Green Line) off right in front of the villa. Walking back is also doable, but we always tried to get the bus back home. The villa has a beautiful pool and deck area, with an incredible view of the bay. We loved our afternoon swims and aperitivo hour on the patio. If you have car, drive to La Spezia is very easy (approx 30 minutes and you can park right at train station) and then train to Cinque Terre is quick and easy.We enjoyed many restaurants in Lerici, but our favourites were Il Fagolo, Siamo Fritto (great quick fried fish) and Pizzeria La Gerla. The villa worked great for our family. However, if group of friends are sharing the upper unit, keep in mind that the doors are glass for bedrooms and bathroom and may not have enough privacy. We loved our stay and hope to one day return!
Tucked away in the hills above the Golfo di Poeti in Lerici is this beautiful villa with stunning views of the town, Castle and harbor. Buses to town are close by, frequent and cost at most €1.50; the trip takes less than 10 minutes From there you can dine, shop, hike or take the ferry to Cinqueterre. Our host Gianluca speaks Italian and English, plus Spanish and Portuguese so communication was simple and he was able to provide all of our needs as well as great advice for day trips. We all want to go back! ⁷

Thank you for visiting us , hosting you was really a pleasure . I wish you fantastic travels .
The pictures of the views from this property do not do it justice! It is situated on the hill overlooking Lerici and the Gulf of Poets. Gian was very informative, making contact a few weeks before we arrived and gave us lots of tips of how best to see the local area. The town of Lerici is a 10-15 minute walk down a hill and there is a local free shuttle bus from the main square which stops right outside. The pool area was lovely and clean and very welcome after a day exploring the local area. As a family holiday, we appreciated the separate apartments but one minor note would be to ideally have doors without glass to the bathroom and bedrooms!
We all really enjoyed our stay here and will be back! Thanks Gian and family!
Very nice stay in a clean and beautiful house. The view over the Gulf of Poets is incredible, especially from the pool area.
There are practically two different apartments which are not connected indoors. The upper apartment is suitable for 4 people and the lower one for 2 people. Both have well equipped kitchens. We also enjoyed the decor with a lot of items from all around the world.
Gianluca and his family are very friendly and helpful hosts who live next door. They can give you a lot of information and practical tips about Lerici and the surroundings. The famous Cinque Terre is easily reachable for day trips, but the less touristy Lerici, Tellaro, Montemarcello and some other local villages are well worth visit too.

Thank you for your visit , knowing you was a pleasure. We are very happy you have enjoyed our surroundings.
Everything you could need, but surrounded by the most incredible view and living environment.
Particularly great for a toddler - all levels are controlled by gates, the furniture is heavy and therefore safe... So we could actually relax. The kitchen seems simple but is very well equipped, great glassware, several methods of coffee making. Strong shower game.
Gianluca was responsive and helpful without being overly present, and just a generally lovely host.
The free bus (and other buses, we never managed to figure out tickets but never had a problem) were frequent enough, the walk down to Lerici charming and so the location was fab. We didn't drive once in the week we were there despite going loads of places.
Generally on Lerici, it was a fantastic place, loads of family friendly restaurants and playparks and sights and fun, a good variety of beaches and bits to swim off the rocks.
Excellent villa, excellent location and excellent hosts
This is the second time we have stayed at Gianluca’s and it was lovely once again. The apartment has everything you could want, it was spotlessly clean, well equipped, spacious and has superb views of the Lerici harbour from the living room and all the garden terraces. The apartment is surrounded by beautifully maintained gardens set on different levels and with beautiful views all around. The apartment has lots of design points of beauty; hand painted antique floor tiles, paintings and artefacts from around the world. Gianluca and his family are wonderful hosts. They are welcoming and work so hard to ensure you enjoy your stay. Gianluca is also an excellent chef and will prepare you a three or four course meal using local produce at a cost that is not much different to local restaurants and yet you have a chef preparing a bespoke menu and a private dining area so you can eat and drink good wine overlooking the wonderful views as the sun sets. There is a free bus that stops very near the apartment to take you to Lerici (it runs mornings and after 4pm). This is very handy if you don’t want to walk back up to the apartment from Lerici after lunch. You can also walk to San Terenzo which takes about 30 minutes and then you can walk the bay of poets back to Lerici harbour. We really love this place and will return as there is so much to do and see but mostly because we love the apartment, the garden and we think the hosts are excellent.
Magnificent views, wonderful apartment and generous hosts
Thank you Gian and Diana for making us feel so welcome and at home. The apartment (middle floor) is beautiful, spacious, clean and equipped with everything we could have wanted including things to keep you going initially such as soaps, toilet roll, wine, beer, washing liquid etc.
The views are stunning from both the apartment and the garden. The garden is on 3 levels: the lower garden is lushly planted with olive trees, hammock and two dining tables, the middle garden has the pool, sunbeds and a terrace and the top level has terrace, sunbeds and a table where you can dine overlooking the Bay of Poets and watching the sunset.
Gian and Diana offer to cook an evening meal (of course at an extra cost) and we do recommend doing this as the food was absolutely wonderful. The local restaurants are very good (eg Il Frantoio in Lerici) but Gian and Diana's food is a gastronomic feast! Plus you are served by your own personal chefs at a table with a wonderful view. It was so good we had it 3 times.
Locally, other than Lerici, we visited Portovenere (on the boat), Tellaro, San Terenzo (we walked here from the apartment), Montemarcello, Sarzana, which was surprisingly attractive (free parking Via Angelo Lucri by the Conad), Pontremoli (easy free parking everywhere), Lucca (brilliant place, pay parking at Carducci), Parma (pay parking at Toschi) and the Roman site at Luni. All of these places are recommended to visit.
We look forward to our next stay with Gian and Diana.

Thank you very much for your stay with us , we really have appreciated your way of traveling and living like locals . You will be always welcome
The first comment one of our daughters made when we arrived was “the VRBO ad doesn’t do this place justice”. The view of course was spectacular; panoramic from this hillside villa down to the village of Lerici and across the Golfo dei Poeti. We were greeted by our hosts (who live on the property) and made to immediately feel like friends. A walk around the spacious and well furnished, two-level outdoor patio and pool areas gave us the feeling that this was going to be a peaceful and relaxing place to spend time. Both living levels were spacious, clean, and nicely furnished. There were many books and pamphlets of towns and places around Lerici that helped us a lot in planning our daily excursions. Our hosts were engaged with us. We had conversations most mornings and evenings talking about our plans and being provided with “locals” tips and information. From places to eat or buy groceries, to driving tips to venues (the villa is not on a through street so parking was free, safe and always available), to off the tourist path restaurants, Gianluca was always happy to provide insight. Our hosts, Gianluca and Dianna offer an option for a poolside dinner so we opted for that on our arrival day. This experience far exceeded our expectations! From aperitif to dessert, this was a four-course menu that was sumptuous and delicious. So glad we made this choice! Upon our departure, we left feeling that we now had friends in Italy that we would find time to visit again!
My family of five (3 sons) had the pleasure of staying here in June. It was perfect! The view is even better in person, and I could’ve sat on the patio watching the boats in the Bay of Poets all day. Gianluca and Diana were the most gracious hosts. His advance communication was excellent. We knew what we needed to arrive at their beautiful home.
The home offers a lot of space. My 18yo son had the lowest level to himself - bed, full bath, LR, kitchen. The rest of us stayed in the middle level w/ 2 beds (queen & 2 twins that can be made a bigger bed), kitchen, full bath, LR, DR. Both beds had water views. Both units also had a washing machine (no dryer, but a drying rack). Gianluca and family live on top floor. There are multiple levels of patios, including the pool level, and all offer stunning views. House was fully equipped with what we needed- towels, linens, shampoo, etc.
We arranged to have them make us dinner our first night and it was such a special experience! They tailored it to what I said we like, and everything was delicious! Highly recommend.
Downtown Lerici was easy to access via many steps down. It’s beautiful, w/ many restaurants and a nice harbor. We dined there our other two nights. One night we drove and parking was nearly impossible. The second night we used the shuttle which was fairly easy. We also took a ferry from Lerici to Portovenere which we loved! From there you could go to Cinque Terre. Highly recommend! 3 nights was not enough for us!
