In addition to Aberdovey’s renowned beach with its miles of sand dunes, there are some wonderful walks in the Snowdonia National Park starting from Aberdovey. Venture further afield and you will find the Tallyllyn steam railway. This winds its way up the valley with stops at the magnificent Dolgoch Falls, and at Nant Gwernol which is a starting point for some beautiful walks through the forest and beside a tumbling river. More challenging walks in the Snowdonia National Park include the famous Cader Idris mountain.
