Stables of the Alloa Tower- pretty cool

This was a great location. We walked to the store every day for food. We enjoyed visiting the Alloa Tower right next to it. We found out there that we were staying in what used to be the stables for the Tower. I'm not sure why the listing for the apartment didn't say that, we thought this would have been a selling point for the property. The property itself was nice. The pillars for the porch at our door need updating. They were falling apart. The stairs were extremely squeaky, and the bathroom vent was weird. It would have been nice to have some direction on how to use the water heater correctly. We did not get any feedback on how to use it when I tried to get ahold of the property management.

The bathroom was poor, the shower wasn’t up to standard, the front door had a hole beside the lock

we were glad to be out and about all day

The accommodation is run down. The heating boiler whistles 24/7. Some windows could not be opened for ventilation. Around the door handles (white doors) dirty and greasy. Simplest facility, such as dining room chairs, which were shaky. There was fear that the chair legs would break off. Thank God there were only two of us; only two teaspoons and coffee mugs available. The mattresses of the beds worn out. Etc, etc...

Not the best break away

There was only 2 forks, 3 bath towels (I had booked for 4 people) dirty dishes in cupboard, very bad condition pots, dirty floors, screws and nails lying around the floor, unsafe wires hanging from the tv, unsafe curtain pole that fell down on my 5 year old, I was very angry and embarrassed as I bokked this for a Christmas present!
