THE LOCATION IS PERFECT .....
Just 150 metres from the wonderful, safe white sand beach, promenade and restaurants; located between the main square (Place de la Mediterrannee) with interesting shops, restaurants and cafes along the way and the picturesque marina area with water activities, aquarium and restaurants; within leisurely walking distance of the regular day and nightime markets held along the promenade and in the main square. Guests really enjoy the quiet calm of the apartment while valuing its proximity to holiday activities.
THE SETTING IS JUST RIGHT ......
The three storey apartment complex of about 45 apartments (Residence les Amandiers) is set in a quiet mixed villa / apartment area with nearby shops and restaurants. The 1960's complex has a lovely atmosphere and style with original ceramic art work and delightful gardens.
THE APARTMENT IS ... JUST LOVELY
The balcony provides spectacular sunsets and panoramic views of the Pyrenees. A comfortable, light feel is provided by large windows and double doors opening on to the balcony. Access to the balcony is from the L-shaped kitchen/lounge area which includes a well equipped fitted kitchen. The large bedroom and bathroom open on to the lounge area. The apartment has a modern air conditioning system (installed in 2023). Free high quality Wifi is provided (along with a TV with a wide range of channels and a DVD player). There's lots of flexibility for sleeping arrangements - the bedroom comfortably accommodates a double bed and bunk beds and the lounge area has a double sofa-bed. A cot can be provided on request. Bed sheets and bathroom towels are provided without additional cost.
IMPORTANT EXTRAS .....
The apartment comes with a designated parking space in the the gated car park (a telecommand is provided). Windows and doors have been upgraded to double glazed pvc with electrically powered rolling shutters while the original 1950's floor tiles have been retained.
CANET - SO MUCH TO OFFER ....
Apart from the wonderful safe beach, marina, aquarium, markets and many restaurants and shops, all within walking distance of the apartment, the classic vineyards of the area, the calm of the salt lake with its flamingos, pony trekking, etc. are within easy cycling distance of the apartment; There are a number of fabulous golf courses within a few minutes drive. All of this with stunning views of the Mediterranean and Pyrenees and countryside carpeted in sun baked vineyards.
CANET - A SUPER HOLIDAY BASE ....
Canet is the perfect base from which to explore the coast line north and south and the beautiful Roussillon countryside. The colourful Catalan sity of Perpignan is just 10 minutes away and the border with Spain just 25 minutes. The coastline to the South includes such picturesque locations as Collioure and locations such as Ceret and Figueres are saturated in artistic history. The Pyrenees provide something for everybody - from picnicers and walkers to cyclists who love a challenge and adventure sports enthusiasts.
GETTING ABOUT ....
Take a coastal trip on a catamaran from the Marina; Hire a bike, tandem or family bike on the promenade; Take the road train along the beach front; The bus stop for trips to Perpignan is around the corner; Take a train/TGV from Perpignan for that special day / overnight trip (Barcelona 50 mins); Inofmration on trips and places to visit are available from the local tourist office.

On a passé de bonne vacances a Cannet, l'appartement était comme décrit dans l'annonce, il y a tout ce qu'il faut pour passer un bon séjour, l'emplacement de l'appartement est calme, pas loin de la ville qui est bien animée le matin par les marchés et le soir par divers spectacles de rue, concert et marché nocturne. On a été bien accueilli par l'hôte malgré notre arrivée tardive. La plage est magnifique, il y a beaucoup de restaurant au alentours et des magasins ce qui est parfait pour pouvoir se promener a pied. Nous avons passer 15 belles journée.

Great stay

The apartment was clean and well maintained, and just as described in the listing. It is quite overlooked but still felt private. The owners provided plenty of towels, linen, equipment (with instructions in French and English when required) and also some little extras like beach parasols, which was a nice touch. It is a very short walk to the beach. Communication with the owners and apartment manager was easy.

Nous sommes arrivés apparemment situé au 3 eme étages proche de tous commodité tres bien situé pour circuler sans voiture a 3 mim de la plage proche du marché l appartement est équipé d une clim agréable par forte chaleur cuisine équipée pour préparé d agréable repas nous avons passé un agréable séjour de 7 jours

Nous avons passé un super séjour à Canet, proximité de la mer, ainsi que des commerces ! Suffisamment éloigné pour ne pas être réveillé par les festivités (surtout pour les enfants ). Merci encore pour ce beau séjour !

Petit appartement sympathique et coloré Très bien équipé ( il manque juste une cafetière) autant en matériel de cuisine qu en équipement pour la plage ( parasol etc). Chambre avec un climatiseur qui était vraiment appréciable. Plage,aquarium, restaurants à proximité de l appartement.

Très bon séjour

Nous avons passer une très bonne semaine dans cet appartement très bien situé et très bien équipée près de la plage de Canet en Roussillon. Tout était à porté de mains et le gerant répondais rapidement à nos questions. La seule chose que mon groupe avons trouvé dommage était le manque de lumière au plafond du salon.

Appartement conforme à l'annonce cependant attention à la propreté (wc, accessoires cuisine pas très propre, casseroles grasse) sinon rien à dire. Attention au manque de savoir vivre dans la copropriété ( les voisins de palier qui étaient aussi des vacanciers nous ont fais passer des nuits d'enfer tels que des claquement de porte à 2/3 heures du matin, cris dans les couloirs à pas d'heure....

L'appartement est très agréable. Mais les nuits étaient insupportables. L'appartement est trop chaud en été. Nous sommes rentrés des vacances très fatiguer par manque de sommeil et les enfants souffraient énormément de la chaleur. Il faisaient bon à l'extérieur mais pas dans l'appartement. Même en ouvrant toutes les fenêtres et portes. Il est urgent de mettre en place la climatisation.

Great Apartment in short distance from Sandy Beach

We had never used "Home Away" before but we can highly recommend it. The Apartment is very close to the beach (150 meter) and the area is clean and quiet. As the apartment is on the 3rd floor we have a number of steps to climb. The balcony has got a view of the mountains and lovely evening sun-set. It states the apartment sleeps 6, however ideally we think it would suit a small family with small children (as there is only 1 bedroom with twin-bed and bunk bed). The sofa in the living room can be pulled out to a bed, but it is not very practical (disturbing early morning/late night). We would gladly come back to this apartment and location in the future. The area is superb (nearly 100% French), and with only short distance from the beach, the apartment is nicely situated 2 streets back. The beach is one of the best we have ever experienced (on par or better than sandy beaches in Egypt and Cuba) - and NO problems getting a space close to the water to get a little breeze. Local bakery is just around the corner, getting the morning Baguette, Croissant and Pain au chocolate. Canet-Plage area has got lots of bar and restaurant in the area and we found the local square really good, at the bar just sitting back with a bottle of wine (people watching). There is NO issue with noise as we are about 500 meter from the busiest bar, restaurant and club street.

Nice neat apartment. Really close to beach and commercial, yet quiet and peaceful.

When we booked this apartment we were wondering about the area. A search of the location suggested it was close to the beach, but we were afraid it might be noisy. We shouldn't have worried. The area is neat, clean and quiet. The owners were easy to communicate with and the key holder was pleasant and punctual. This is great value compared to some that we looked at. All in all, we were really happy with the location. It is close to the beach, close to the port area and just a couple of minutes stroll from plenty of restaurants and the local market. There are some really good restaurants in the area at reasonable prices. This was our first stay in Canet Plage, however we are very familiar with the region. We would highly recommend the area and the apartment.

Lovely apartment - clean well maintained - plenty of room, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen.

The apartment was in a good position for the beach just a short walk away - plenty of cafes restaurants nearby and a short walk into main part. Boulangerie nearby was very good - bread made on premises was lovely so were the cakes. The apartment's balcony has a view of the mountains and sunny from lunchtime through to late evening. We had a lovely stay.

Conforme aux photos

Location convenable très bien située, avec vue magnifique sur le Canigou et cosy (déco sympa et conforme aux photos, salle de bain très bien). Les plus: - Beaucoup d'équipements (qu'il serait bien de préciser dans l'annonce!): parasols, nattes de plages, panier, frite de plage par exemple. - Equipements de cuisine assez complet, je dirai qu'il y en a même trop de la même sorte et qu'il manque une poêle taille normale et une petite cocotte minute. - Quelques produits de base à remplacer si finis: liquide vaisselle, pq, désinfectant, film transparent, éponge....très pratique en arrivant. Quelques bémols: - Propreté: des draps pas nets (tâches et boulettes d'usures) ainsi que propreté générale moyenne (j'ai lavé le sol en arrivant qui était plein de sable alors que nous étions les premiers locataires de la saison!). - Un clic-clac en guise de canapé pourquoi pas si le matelas tenait bien mais il glisse et il faut le remettre tous les deux jours (très pénible). - Un appartement surchargé ou inadapté: les deux fauteuils (très beaux mais inutiles!) en bois prennent beaucoup de place et surcharge l’appartement. Trop de grandes lampes qui ne servent à rien (5 dans 38m² c'est un peu abusé); Trop de choses inutiles dans les placards de la cuisine (plats, verres, mugs) en revanche une cafetière électrique serait bienvenue: c'est un appartement parfait pour 2 adultes et jusqu'à 2 enfants ou 3 max quand à ajouter un lit bébé je vois pas où? Le tancarville est cassé et pas assez d'épingles à linge. - Si le jour vous réveille comme moi le matin c'est compliqué: deux petite fenêtre salle de bain et salon n'ont pas de store ni volet et vu que porte salle de bain et chambre vitrée il fait grand jour très tôt dans l'appartement. Nous avons passer tout de même 15 jours très agréables a Canet, ville très sympa et appartement très correct, une bonne literie.

Canet-plage, rue des Amandiers

Have stayed at this 3rd floor apartment several times and hope to do so again this year.So near a fantastic beach and the neighbourhood is very quiet and friendly.If you do want to see the great night markets and cafes,the Place Mediterranee is only about five mins walk away along the beautiful promenade and the Marina with the Catamaran that goes to Collioure is five mins in the other direction.At the end of Rue des Amandiers you have a restaurant called La Table which offers three great courses for about 13euro.Also I would recommend the Italian resto near La Poste,called Rimini.There is also a take-out pizza place very near the apt run by a really friendly couple and the bakery is only a minute away too.. The apartment has a lovely kitchen with a balcony off of it with nice views of Les Pyrenees in the distance.Can't recommend highly enough.!! Tony, Ireland
