Great stay at the coast

We were only there for a couple days but the rental was great. Quiet neighborhood. The place was cute and clean. Perfect for our short trip.

I had a very poor accommodation experience here. The overall conditions were mediocre at best, and the cleanliness was lacking. The room had a noticeable musty smell, the bath towels provided were not clean, and I even found unflushed paper floating in the toilet bowl upon arrival. There were also several maintenance issues. The exhaust fan was broken, and two out of the four stove burners wouldn't ignite. Even the room setup was uncomfortable—the bed was noticeably uneven (higher on the side near the window), and we had a really bad sleep due to this. and it was highly inconvenient that there was only one bathroom available for the rooms. Overall, a highly disappointing stay.

Great place and location

We stayed here with our two young children. Place was clean, laundry was a plus, and it had all the necessary supplies so we could make meals and relax during our time in California. Good location in La Jolla to talk to things, and parking was always easy right out front!

Perfect La Jolla Stay

Location was ideal - just off beach and walking to much of L Jolla, while quiet. The unit had everything we needed and was very nicely appointed and organized. The small backyard patio space (with beach gear and grill) and laundry (no issue sharing with other unit) were useful. Parking was never an issue while we were there. We were pleased as we came in, and had a great one week stay with our small dog in tow.

Great Location, Comfy Cottage

What a sweet, comfy cottage only a couple of blocks from the beach. Ever since we started traveling with our dog, our options have been limited in terms of places to stay. So glad we found this one. Nikki was very responsive, energetic, and caring about our needs. Highly recommend this place. Hope to return ourselves.

September get Away

This place was cute, cozy and conveniently located! The Windan sea neighborhood was quiet and darling! Love the local coffee shops, walking distance. The price was right! Loved the keyless entry but the door was a bit finicky. T there were plenty of towels, for showering and to use for the beach. The kitchen had everything we needed. Thank you !

Great location, units that needs some serious improvements

The location is awsome, few blocks from the beach and with several great coffee shops and restaurants. The communication with management company was very good, with prompt response. The unit is however not been updated and cleaning standards below expectations (i have sever allergy to dust and the fan above the bed had a thick layer of dust which we pointed out to the owner, but no action was taken while we were there).. however the most important issue was that the the listing didn’t mentioned that the house had NO heating nor cooling system. While a/c in California can be hard to find, not having a heating system should have been included in the listing. Not only it was not mentioned but no space heaters were provided. We had a very uncomfortable first night, the owner provided 2 very sm heaters the second day, but they hardly resolved the issue. I would not return.

Great location

The property is well maintained, well decorated and well located to explore La Jolla. The only thing that was awkward was one bathroom for six people and the only access was through the master en suite bedroom.

Location, location, location!

This was a fabulous COVID-19 Spring getaway for me family of five (kids aged 17, 15, 11) to "socially distance" ourselves in the sun and the surf. This vintage cottage had the perfect location and all the necessities: body boards, beach chairs + umbrellas, pots & pans, even coffee and a deck of cards! When we found the neighborhood Von's, the Taco Stand, and the D.G. Will's bookstore, we scratched any plans we had outside of La Jolla. Super dog-friendly place, which added a casual homey vibe for us -- nothing more fun than watching dogs run on the beach.

Cozy beach cottage

An excellent location, a short walk to the beach, this cottage is nestled in a friendly neighborhood providing lots of interesting walks. The cottage was clean and the kitchen was well-appointed. The bed is comfortable and the bathroom was well designed. The patio in the front catches the breeze and provides a space for people watching and Nikki is quick to answer questions.

It was way nicer then I expected it to be from photos online even tho it got a little warm throughout the day the ac on the room was very nice and it was a very short trip to the beach I really enjoyed my stay the house was really Nice and clean and I’m really glad I visited here

Great value

We had a great stay - the cottage is very simple and small, but an excellent value for the price and location. Very clean and well stocked, and we loved being able to walk to Windandsea. We hope to return next summer!

Well-appointed, compact apartment in an unbeatable location!

This unit is small, but efficient. There are some quirks—the laundry is outside, there is only a space heater to keep you warm at night, and the second bedroom's bed is actually just a couch you can pull apart into a couple of different configurations—but the incredible location and other amenities more or less make up for them. Highly recommended for 1-2 adults looking for convenient access to the beach!

I am glad you enjoyed Villa Serena. I'm so sorry the gas heater died. It wasn't great at heating the bedrooms, so we found our renters were preferring space heaters at night anyway. They do require a little more thought so we are planning to upgrade the heat to something more central ASAP. Tell the kids thanks for the drawing and thank you for the train set. A recent family of 6 got a lot of use out of it! Don't forget to stay in touch. Relaxing Get Away

We had a great time in La Jolla and Villa Serena was a wonderful cottage. Our family had everything we needed and loved the little back patio. We spent most of our time out there listening to music and just reconnecting. I highly recommend La Jolla and Villa Serena!
